NEW EXHAUST! My Porsche 991 GT3 Gets A Loud Sharkwerks Bypass!

- Fitting my Porsche 991 GT3 with a new Sharkwerks exhaust! My previous Porsche Gen 1 991 GT3 was fitted with the same exhaust and i lived with it for 20,000 miles. This time my Gen 2 GT3 is basically running Porsche's cup car engine with 500bhp and a 9000rpm red line. For me one of the greatest senses of connection with the Porsche GT3 is the way it sounds and now with the new Sharkwerks exhaust the connection is taken to a new level by unlocking the full Porsche flat 6 engine sound!

How cool having the work done at ABP, they are 1 mile from me and I know the owner Chris. Highly recommend ABP. Funnily enough, the long straight where you did some drive-by footage is a few hundred metres from my home; no surprises I could hear it from my window.

This is what I love about James. No bullshit like any other the other TH-camrs, who churn out 10 videos just tempting the idea of an exhaust change for example which finally happens 6 months later.

I have to say that intro made me appreciate just how fast that car is esp when think of the horsepower it has (still alot) but comparing to others numbers it would look like it would be slower but damn that thing is quick.

Glad to see the guys at ABP are still going strong. They did some amazing Civic Type-R upgrade packages back in the day. Been quite a number of times and where they are located makes for some great tight & twisty blasts

Literally down the road from me James, I've used abp before ( admittedly on a civic type r not a Porsche) I had a few issues with them but this was 7 years ago so it's now irrelevant .

Worked for a 911 Cup Car Team. The engines are indeed one in the same. Between the road car and cup car.
1st thing we would do when a new car was delivered was pull off the stock muffler, and put two straight pipes on it.. imagine yours, 4 times the volume. Absolutely loved listening to them pound through the gears on the dyno.

Glad this worked out well for you. I tried a back box delete with a 4.8 V8 and it sounded like a Nascar.
Some early mornings I'd stick it in neutral and push it down the road in my suit to avoid waking up the street!
It was hilarious but a pain in backside in traffic & longer drives.

A slightly different comment to most here. I can't believe the new exhaust was released from manufacture without first having the heat tarnish (blue colour etc) cleaned from around the welds...I'm guessing the exhaust unit wasn't cheap. Surprised to say the least. Love the 911 though, always has been a firm favourite/poster car. Thanks James.
