Wow! That was a full send session. I’ve done 270 km/h on my Ducati Streetfighter in a straight line, which was both exciting and terrifying. I saw this guy in the video hit 280 km/h going into upcoming corners, this guy has balls of steel. Great video Misha!
@@Pigbearman123 ....a friend bought a new C7 Z06 and let me drive it.....We were in Mexico ;) at the time so I let it go a bit on the highway.....and things go flying by very quickly at 270km/hr, no doubt......I did 155km/hr on a quad once, across a gravel pit(local police officer had his radar gun out there that day) and that was too fast....and the quad had one more gear and PLENTY left. Seeing this run at 277 and 288kmhr and the traction control light flashing.....oi.....

The pecs said it would do 180mph, but I don't know how because I had an empty four lane road and I was well tucked in. The scariest thing I have driven was a full rally spec Ford RS200. It had 450hp and a carbon fiber body over a space frame and weighed bugger all. I initially thought no big deal, but then the turbo kicked in and things were happening faster than I could think. The thought of driving a car like that on Welsh forest stage with trees waiting to kill you if you get it wrong, does not bear thinking about.

The speed was amazing what a drive. From driving style point you can see the rally touch coming through. More aggressive turning in and taking corners shorter than normal. Looks like a 4wd rally style. But for a rally driver he was smoother than expected. Really skilled person.
I dont know what impress me the most, the fact that he was FLYING around the track or how freakishly collected and smooth the car behaves even at this insane pace!

Oh My God! That was fast!!! It made every car it passed look like it was standing still, and that included some very respectable looking cars. Un-fecking-believable.
He didn't leave much left... 105% effort with no errors a very good training video... watch it at 0.5 speed and catch the lines and speeds then watch it at 1.50 to get speed adjusted.

There's nothing I love to see more than a car of this calibre in the hands of someone skilled being used to it's potential. While I am a 100% manual/clutch pedal snob, there is no denying that driving at this pace with a true manual would be possible for only the very best, need those flappy paddles. Very nice

That's some insane cornering speed ! I've been playing a lot of gt7 Nürburgring and it's absolutely not comparable but it gives an idea how hard it is to take those corners with such a speed. Crazy driver 🔥🔥 it's a dream to drive a car around the Nürburgring one day 🤩

I never understood Porsches. They all look pretty similar, they don’t sound the greatest off all cars… but once when I drove a 911 at full speed across Circuit Zandvoort I was blown away by the handling and stability of these cars. Ever since my whole view of these cars changed and I got so interested in them. Can’t imagine how fast this would feel ❤ and Porsche PDK is one of the best dual clutch transmissions I ever felt .
If this was 6:52 and it feels insane to me already I can only imagine how 6:39 must have been like when Lars Kern have done his fastest lap from the same racing team. What is the next level, insane+?? These guys have a full send attitude and their nerves are rooted into the chassis to feel every single slip. Well done Lukas! If I was sitting in the passenger seat I would need a PTSD treatment.
Dang it, he drove the absolute tits off of that thing. One of the few people i would say that could make actual use of the 992 GT3 RS additional performance. Also props for the perspective. Always transmits the speeds the best in my opinion and i'm glad we had such an amazing angle on such amazing laps. These are exactly the type of videos i'm here for. Awesome!
Lukas is one fearless driver, at last year's granturismo event at the ring he told me that his biggest wish would be for the car to step out it's rear at 250 so he can do some opposite lock driving 😂
I remember when Robert Mitchell used to say Porsches were overrated at Ring and he didn't want one because they were too popular. Two laps like this would have broken his 458 and any of his McLaren's. This is why Porsche builds the finest cars purpose built for the Ring.
It is baffling how much more planted a car behaves when tires are warmed up. Cup 2 tires are amazing as much as the tuning by manthey. Although in lap 2 before an after the first caroussell he was kinda overdriving the car a bit but then he went back to a more collected pace. He was almost close to gt3 levels at some points. If me at the tv was kinda scared I would pass out in the first corner with cold tires (edit: in that car irl)... even tho I have around 25.000 km virtually in assetto corsa 😅
DAMN this dude is absolulety insane. Of course he is a rally driver, look at this, guy has ZERO fear. Can also tell he might have 100++ laps done on the ring.

Holy shite, this was proper attack. During the second lap the tires were gone, some big moments, so he dialled it back to 99,89% instead of 102,5%. First lap ruined by some slow guys in the fastest sections, but still under 7mins BTG. And the engine being constantly pushed to its max. Fantastic stuff! Oberkokot!
Important to mention, this was filmed on the Manthey-Racing track day, so overtakings on the right and the use of HANS is allowed!

The 6:52 was only btg. Lars did the whole lap in 6:43 or so. Kevin Estre in 6:53 or so in a Gt3 RS MR like this one in the video.
