Amazing. I have an ipe installed on my mark 2 and experienced exactly the same. Upshifting higher in the rev band is insane, downshifting only in the same high part of the rev band. Is this just a question of taking out the valves and put the whole thing together again ?

Gert Carnewal sells a remote switch system to have the valves on or off as you wish bypassing the Porsche "Nanny system". Easy fix, worth investing in cos it works.
Perfect. Much better than putting a Rice-o-Tanium exhaust. Fine tuning is the way to hit the sweet spot. So...maybe a few Techart carbon exterior bits next ? 😉

There are companies that sell a valve controller for the standard valves. so you can open and close them from in the car and won't have the drone on the motorway
So basically you've forced the valves open all the time (bmw owners will remember the old golf tee mod) Does sound very good, but a better solution would be remap the oem switch so that when on it opens the valves at any revs, and when off (say cruising on motorway) you can have it quieter

I had the pleasure of driving a gt3 on a track recently and it sounds and handles amazingly well
just got one of these.. so the ticket is center section bypass AND you have to have the valves disconnected all the time to hear downshifts?

it's already to loud for trackdays as it is, headers and cats would be insane loud. its still his daily :P GT3's are loud even stock

I have electric valve controls on my Lamborghini. It’s nice to be quiet when you want to be.
Thats a question i have directly when i hear the problem, i wonder if wouldnt be better to have a manual on/off button for the valves.
