It never was dying. Dragon ball games always start huge because dragon ball fans buy the game. They play the story, unlock everything, maybe play online for a bit, then they go play something else. The only people that actually stick around are fighting game players. Same thing happened with xenoverse and fighterz, and those games are still thriving.
Ok, droping 90% is not normal, droping 40% or 50% is normal. The game is kinda dead but if more customization comes i will love it its got flaws and part of that is fixing it it won't die but will almost reach rock bottom soon
My biggest gripe is the story mode is hot garbage, the what ifs could’ve been so much more special than what we got. I really hope they expand, vegeta, piccolo, gohans story scenarios. Also why not add a movies story mode which goes through all the movies and their bosses and give alt scenarios if the bosses win. Why not a gt story mode? Game is fun but heavily flawed and needs story mode expansion
Yet another CC missing the mark, it’s not that the game had steep drop-off, (though it was drastic), but rather that it happened so fast, SF6, MK1, T8, Fighterz, all retained more players for longer, sure SZ had a bigger start, but that means nothing when talking longevity and taking into account the numbers today
I mostly hear people complain about 2 things. 1: the game isn't balanced. 2: People play the same 10ish characters in ranked. 1st point is mute, they literally told us before it launched it wasn't going to be balanced. So honestly it's your own damn fault for buying the game. It's like saying you dont like Elden Ring because it's too hard, when that's the point. 2nd point: ...um...have you played literally ANY competitive game with a large roster? Even Fighterz, a game which put's alot of effort into balance, has characters who are played far more then others. It's the same in Xenoverse, Pokemon, I imagine Tekken and Street Fighter but I dont play those so IDK for sure, Yugioh has thousands of cards and everyone only uses the ones released that month. BUDOKAI TENKAICHI 3, THE GAME THAT MOST DB FANS SAY IS THE BEST GAME IN THE FRANCHISE, LITERALLY HAS THE SAME ISSUES! THAT GAME IS VERY UNBALANCED! all-in-all: I dont think the games dead. Xenoverse has been around for, what, 8 years now? And people have been complaining about it's netcode since day 1. This is also the fanbase who are too lazy to even listen to there own show (looking to you "Teen Gohan beats Cabbe" fans, you dont need to be a power scaler to see why that's stupid).
Ive seen a lot more quality players and a lot less cheesers on the game since people said it was dying. Maybe its the people who stagnated in the learning curve and the cheesers that left but I still play it daily
I hope your young channel grows but the “you know what I’m trying to say” is kinda distracting 😂 I would recommend scripting just a bit more. Good luck!
The game doesn't have any longevity in casual or competitive circles WHATSOEVER. The story mode isn't fun because every fight is the same and it isn't replayable past the 6 or 7 alternate routes. Poor game twords defense play makes you feel out of control in a fighting game with few rng mechanics to keep things fresh, poor balance and shallow move sets don't keep what WOULD BE committed players finding and looking for new strategys and approaches for extended amounts of time and there is little expression in who you pick because 110 people in a cast of 120 arent viable. This game was born to die and the only reason I bought it was beautiful cinematics during special moves and word of mouth from my friends.

the community is going to get even better since they are actually taking feedback with things like rage quitting and hopefully crossplay

Just saying but for PlayStation it's number 7 for player count so I wouldn't consider it dieing
"a game's player count always reduces no matter what and decreases after the first week. no matter what."
amogus

To be fair, when he said the game was going to be unbalanced I thought it was just the characters not the mechanics.
Dawg you can’t even combo for more than 3 seconds without your combo being stopped
it was dying? when?

Unless you have friends, the randoms are scum

A few typos but I think I got my point across.
