Munnar rises as three mountain streams merge - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. One of the most sought after honeymoon destinations in Kerala, Munnar is replete with resorts and logding facilities that fit a wide rage of budgets. Sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This flower which bathes the hills in blue once in every twelve years, will bloom next in 2030. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which towers over 2,695 m.

Munnar KSRTC bus stand
Munnar is well connected by both National highways, state highways and rural roads. The town lies in the Kochi - Dhanushkodi National highway (N.H 49), about 130 km (81 mi) from Cochin, 31 km (19 mi) from Adimali, 85 km (53 mi) from Udumalpettu in Tamil Nadu and 60 km (37 mi) from Neriyamangalam.

Railway
The nearest major railway stations are at Ernakulam and Aluva (approximately 140 kilometres (87 mi) by road). The Nearest Functioning Railway station is at Udumalaipettai.
Airport
The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport, which is 110 kilometres (68 mi) away. The Coimbatore and Madurai airports is 165 kilometres (103 mi) from Munnar.

ഇത് കണ്ട ശേഷം 2022 Dec ൽ vacation-നു നാട്ടിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ Munnar പോയി..താങ്കളുടെ വീഡിയോ കണ്ട് അത് notebookil കുറിച്ച് വച്ചു.. അത് നന്നായി help ചെയ്തു.. Net coverage ഉള്ള സ്ഥലത്തു google map ഇട്ട് പോയി.. അല്ലാതെയുള്ള ഇടങ്ങളിൽ ആ notebook help ചെയ്തു..Husband ആണ് drive ചെയ്തത്. താങ്കളുടെ video കാണ്ടതിനാൽ വല്യ confusion ഇല്ലാതെ comfortable ആയി പോയി വന്നു.. ഒത്തിരി സന്തോഷം താങ്കളോട്.. Hotel Gurubhavan was very convenient.. And Hotel ഗുരു also was good. (Specially for breakfast ) And stay was also affordable and comfortable.. Laxmi വില്ല and its caretaker Allex.. 👍🏻👍🏻ഒരുപാട് കൺഫ്യൂഷനുമായി start ചെയ്ത trip താങ്കളുടെ വീഡിയോ കണ്ടതിനാൽ ആരുടെയും help ഇല്ലാതെ വളരെ budget friendly,smooth and relaxed ആയി മാറി...Kanthallor മാത്രം season അല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ worthy ആയി തോന്നിയില്ല.. ബാക്കി എല്ലാ areas ഉം നന്നായി കണ്ടു വരാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞു.. My suggestion is not to visit Munnar during weekends and holidays.... It will Crowded... We planned to visit Top Station and Vattavada on a Saturday but there was a huge traffic jam before reaching Top Station.. We waited there for more than 1hr and later drop the plan and visited Kundala Dam...

kids are managed by me and husband. and one thing is they both loves to travel, so its easy to travel with kids. we will take some food and medicines during our every trip.
