yeah exactly, it was DOUBLE her budget. i really think she could do better, she just needs to stay away from the overpriced reality TV boutiques. she could probably even find something secondhand for a pittance and be able to make all those customizations and still be in budget.
yeah i hate when they do that to a family esp them being so sweet. she looked lovely and sad to hear what happened at her first wedding. her children may have offered to pay to be apart of her big day in some way and seeing their mom love and wear something that fits her would make any child happy to pay she’s so humble it’s great to see, i wish her the best.
The kids were happy to support her and chip in to get her a dress she loves and feels special in. They probably had a private chat and offered to help bring the budget up to $1200 or $1500.

This was a big day for Ann and George but particularly Ann.. she is a proud woman and although her children were willing to pay for the difference in the dress, it was very hard for her to let them pay for it because she’s proud and her role is to take care of her children know them take care of her. Also I think she was very tired by the time everything was done and over with and she wasn’t going to make a decision without her husband. I wish we could’ve seen the wedding. But it sure was a pleasure to meet them both❣️❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The “ Bride “ understands a budget at this point in her life and does not want to burden others. My husband and I have been married 52 years. We are now on a fixed income so I can understand this “ bride “….for the price of that dress she and her husband could have a nice night in a hotel, dinner and show and she could walk away with a very beautiful outfit to boot…, or they could take the family out to celebrate at a nice restaurant and still get a new dress that she could wear out for special occasions. Remember not everyone is rolling in money.
"JuSt oVeR BuDgEt" what BS, it's TWICE the price. They don't even check if she's ok with trying the dress on first knowing the price. They just surprise her at the end once everyone has been trapped into loving it. And be SURE that the alterations he mentioned are going to cost extra on top.

That dress is not the right style for her. Off the shoulder does not look right on her. The first dress looked better, except for the back. I am sure there was a lighter weight dress in that style WITH a back, somewhere in that store. This woman deserves better than simply throwing some lace on the shoulders. I think she knew it too.
It's too bad David didn't reduce the price! Persons of her generation generally feel very self-sufficient. Even though the daughters meant well, they could have offered to pay a certain amount just to David with the understanding that it's within a budget and nothing is said to her parents.
