That dress looked amazing on her, it was 100% the right choice.
So glad they got it under budget for her. It looked so amazing. Couldn’t even tell she had FOUR babies just 6 months prior. So perfect!
That dress looked like it was made for this women. Its gorgeous and matched her figure beautifully! No fittings, able to get in budget and can take it home the same day. How much more perfect can you get when shopping for a bridal gown?! The stars sure aligned here! 💜

Don't usually like Pina's dresses but this one was very pretty. Selling it for half price shows how much the mark up is!
Something I learned working in retail is when you see an item go on clearance, the company still makes a profit (at least, I assume 95% of the time). Working in Macys, i've seen $100 polo shirts go down to like $20. It's actually crazy to see what stuff is really worth. You really are just paying for the name.
@@fidelianerina They made the money on the dress. The first bride who cancelled out had paid a pretty penny and then left the dress in the store along with the fiance... Good deal for sure. The store did not lose anything....
@@parxgirl2156I agree. Bride who cancelled it, already paid a 50% non refundable deposit.
Having the second customer pay more than 50% of the dress total made the store actually get for this dress more than its original cost.
As mentioned, this is a cancellation. That's why they're able to reduce it in price. The "sale" dresses are either samples they no longer want/need or cancellation dresses.

Great salesmanship. They unloaded surplus inventory gathering dust for her max budget. The bride got her dream dress at a bargain price and saved the cost of alterations. Super win all around!
Apparently-your-sound-wasn't-on....it-was-very-clearly-stated-that-the-gown-was-BRAND-NEW,-and-that-it-had-not-been-tried-on-by-anyone-yet.---It-was-a-custom-order-that-got-cancelled.
@@jb6712it was still surplus inventory though and harder for them to find a buyer who would fit that exact size so they probably were very happy to sell it

Not really as my oldest brother helped take care of 7 younger siblings to the point that he got worn out and no longer wants kids. He is just a good uncle to my nephews.

It's one of the first times that the sample dress fit perfectly and there was no additional cost for alterations (although she will have to pay for a veil). And, being very picky/critical, it's not "one penny" below her budget; it's one dollar below her budget. Also, when this episode was filmed in 2013, the sales tax in NY was 8.48%, which added $254.32.
It makes me wonder if these women include tax in their budget, or if they know that's gonna be added and have that set aside.

veils don't have to cost thousands of dollars though. My friend bought one for $50 for her wedding and it was lovely

I love that they got it within her budget, but they really should have checked the price with the sale BEFORE letting her put it on. I could only imagine how sad it would be if the sale price was not within her budget.
I'm guessing that part was mostly was TV drama. Because it was cancelled they already received half the price from the deposit . So they knew the discount price wasn't going to be much more than the budget .
they always make a profit because the materials and labor that go into the dress cannot really be 3000 usd. it is way way way less.
I would think most consultations don't go like that and it is just for TV. Mean sales tactic to get her to fall in love and then pay a little bit more- and hugely risky as, if they let her try it on and then she couldn't have it she might get a bitter taste and not buy anything

As a mother of twins, and my son was 2 at the time when they were born, sheesh! I feel her pain but until you have multiples, it's a whole new level of wild! It's an amazing feeling but I didn't have the help I'm sure she has! I was exhausted!

It's really great to see a big business like that do what they can to make sure that a deserving woman gets the dress she wants even if it means going half price on the original price.
They're actually making more money as someone has already paid a deposit for the dress- which they had to get rid of anyway. Usually deposits are half price and she paid about 60% of the full price. So this was not out of the goodness of their hearts. Probably helps if you have a camera crew there with you too

It was a cancellation dress so it's automatically on sale, so Randy knew he could get it down in price, but didn't know how much.
