  • How about bringing in a bit of Goa to the dining table with Cabbage Foogath? Foogath is a dish made with curry leaves and coconut! A quick recipe, this is a recipe that goes well with rice, roti, even bread (when you are in a pinch!)
    Ingredients
    • 500g shredded cabbage
    • 1 medium onion sliced
    • 3 tbsp fresh grated coconut
    • Salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1/2 inch ginger finely chopped
    • 2 green chillies slit/deseed
    • 1 tbsp mustard seeds (rai)
    • 12-15 curry leaves

    That's my favorite cabbage dish. Love it. With only hot chapathis and some mango or lime pickle.

    Great. Especially whenever you cook cabbage make it a point to add a bit of ginger. It will neutralise a smell cabbage emits.

    I tried your recipe for a potluck over a year ago and it turned out amazing. Till today my friends remember the cabbage foogath . Thank you so much for your step by step easy to follow method.     That's a lovely cabbage dish, tried it and my husband loved it.
    I am goan but we never cook it like this and now I am going to make it for my mum too, just like this on my next trip to Goa

    I liked the recipe. Simple to follow and not too many spices. You are a natural at presenting the dish preparation and steps to follow. The only thing I would add to the dish would be a little lime or lemon juice.

    very simple easy to make, should add a bit of water so that it does not get burnt, also red chilli and a little tumeric helps. Thanks

    I tried the recipe and my family enjoyed it very much.However i made the dish without curry leaves and coconut.Still delicious.It is very hard to find curry and fresh coconut where i live.

    Good Evening :: No mention of quantity...... Thak thak with cooking spoon.... why not using spoons for putting spices... hairs not tied as well.. not showing cooking pot properly...
