A question: if you fundamentally disagreed with a decision with an established character, say, Andor S2 did something out of character with Mon Mothma or something, would you still consider yourself a fan of the overall franchise? Or would you call yourself a fake fan?
Maybe you had different people in mind, but I follow some people that just have had experiences in the franchise that don't line up with how they feel, and even some bad interactions with Lucasfilm employees.
Not everyone that dislikes the current state of Star Wars is a grifter.

I’m tuning in kind of late, but THANK YOU so much for covering the Rey movie drama. The whole world and Internet was *FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED* with just Rey/ST hate after all that and it just ruined so much of my post-holiday adjustments that I’ve had to distance from Star Wars. I don’t think I’d be able to handle Star Wars or feel excited for it if I have to deal with this for years waiting for the Rey movie (it might actually kill me from stress) so I might just leave for some other hobbies or communities where I actually feel welcome.
Your comments about how feeling uncomfortable amkes us think and grow are spot on! That's why you two are the best Star Wars channel.

Honestly, a part of me would want that to occur off-screen, and then filled in after the fact.
They touched on it a little in Solo but haven't continued it.
@@lyndsaybrown8471 it almost felt like they were doing it as a joke in Solo unfortunately. It would be nice to take it seriously and provide a real internal conflict with the characters involved too. Like the obvious correct answer is to free them, but for the people in the setting, it might not be as easy considering they’ve never known droids as being anything really more than pets or appliances at best. In real terms it would upend how labor functions in the galaxy

Q&A: What are your predictions on how LucasFilm going to handle Baylon Skull for the upcoming Ahsoka Season 2 since we know that his actor Ray Stevenson had passed away before Season 1 began? Do you think we'll see some flashbacks on how he was trained in the Jedi Order and how he meet Anakin or might be something else?
I'm betting they'll just change the actor and pretend nothing's different. The other option is to write in a new character with exactly the same planned story or somehow use Shin Hati since she's so popular to do what Baylon was supposed to do (depending on how much was actually planned for her character).
Molly Alex and Eckhardts-Ladder are the only channels I come to for a rationale discussion about Star Wars. No toxicity, just open mindedness.

Remember when it was just Alex doing these Q/As with Mollie as a guest from time to time? Then a couple years later she got involved full time and now its Pippins and Helo making recurring appearances.
Can’t wait to see her again. It’s because of her I got back into Star Wars. It’s why I call her a Rey of Light.

Bethesda usually offers a third-person option in their first-person games. I won't be surprised if they have that in Great Circle as well.
I think it would be fun if the antagonist of the Rey movie is another Jedi who doesn’t agree with the way Rey is building the New Jedi Order and goes to build his own competing order

Q&A: What role do you think Bo-Katan will play in the Mando & Grogu movie? A major role, small cameo, or will she not appear?
I'm not expecting much because her story arc for the Mandalorian pretty much ended in season 3 so I don't see the need for her to show up unless they need help with something.

As much as I would love to see a "Star Wars What If", the Marvel one worked so well for me because of The Watcher and how the Multiverse works in the MCU. Seeing the different multiverses interact in the Season 1 finale was super satisfying and gave the individual "What If's" more weight for me. Season 2 had some similar moments, but Season 1 was just too good.
A Star Wars "What If" would be a lot of fun, but I don't know if it'll hit in the same way because the multiverse doesn't exist in Star Wars (yet).

I am not gonna lie, you are the only channel I watch and subscribe to because you don't spread lies like so many other creators to spread a hateful agenda. Keep doing what you're doing. It's fine to not like something or not be excited, but more people need to be honest and respectful.

Do you think there is something that Lucasfilm/Disney should or could do to stop the hatred to female lead stories (e.g. the Rey movies) or is just the responsibility of the fandom to call this out and try to stop it?

When it comes to what ifs I still love the three infinities stories, they were awesome Nd went sp crazy with how things changed.

My prediction for the Mando movie is that Grogu will be 100% CGI and voiced by Chris Pratt
As a side note, another multiplayer game to play together is Unravel. It’s an oldie (PS4), but a goodie, imho.

Part of it is going to be how lucasfilm handles it and if there is precedent to it's behavior. Every movie announcement since solo has been delayed, dropped or quietly shuffled aside. True there are biased ppl on both sides but if it's something big like this, then the response shouldn't be via second hand
I think Star Wars has more than enough potential for new stories, including those with existing characters, that there's no need for what-ifs. I'd rather see expansion of what's already there than rearrangement of it for the illusion of something new -- an alternate version of events that could prompt a full-on multiverse, in which case no one version of events really matters.

Do you think that the Mando / Grogu movie could maybe softly set up the events of the Rey movie? It obsviousky wouldn’t be directly but much of how the Mando verse and other media have set up small building pieces / fleshed out the world, could the Mando movie be some what of an off shoot (side quest) to set up the potential enemy or problems of the Rey movie? Thats a lot of timeline to fill but just a thought!

Q&A Question: I read most of the Canon Star wars novels, but I've never gotten around to dark disciple even though I've heard it's great. Should I drop everything and read it before February 21st?
A lot of the confusion honestly comes from Lucasfilm announcing SW film projects then quietly shelving them (i.e the Rian Johnson trilogy, the Feige movie, and Rogue Squadron to name a few.) I'm one who unfortunately has a hard time believing these films are happening until I see set photos or trailers because of. I'd love to see this movie happen too, and this is from someone who isn't much of a sequel fan.
I really wish Disney took a page out of Lucasfilm's book back in 2003 where they launched the Clone Wars multimedia project and had toys, comics, books, games, and a cartoon all set in this 3 year span bridging the final 2 movies of the prequels. If you didn't like one of the books focusing on the Jedi, then you might enjoy a rank and file video game on clone commandos instead. There was a flavor for everyone set in that period, and I felt that was missing for the sequels. I want there to be a project from that era where the audience can all agree "Hey, that's a cool aspect from the sequel era that I really like" just like what the Clone Wars did in 2003.

I’m not a fan of the sequel trilogy, but I like the cast, and I wanna see them succeed. I want New Jedi Order to succeed. I want it to be good, and I’ll be there day one regardless.
With regard to the still unknown 2024 release schedule, WHAT IF... Disney decided to make us wait until mid-to-late summer (which would seem soooo looong), but then hit us with unbroken months of weekly content. Imagine if on August 1st Bad Batch3 began and ran 12 weeks, followed immediately by The Acolyte, and then Tales Of The Jedi, and then Skeleton Crew, and then Mando4 or Andor2 and then maybe a new animated show or something. Like six straight months of content. Star Trek did something similar a couple years ago; a new Star Trek episode every week for seven months or something. I wouldn't mind waiting so long if I knew something like that was on the horizon.

I agree 💯 with misinformation, how about calling them out by name ? With regards to the “Rey” movie , do you honestly think this is the right move for Star Wars?
The Star Wars “What If?” question has always been weird to me. “What If?” is distinctly a long standing part of the Marvel universe and its existence is rooted in actual story.
I think they will use the Super Bowl for some promotion of the upcoming shows.
I'm kinda the same as Alex when it comes to star wars 'What If'. I'd watch it if they made it, but its not my top desired thing. HOWEVER I do feel like if they did a What If/Infinities series it would be a great use of the department making Bad Batch after that series is done. They already have many characters already modeled and I'm sure several of the 'What If' scenarios would be clone wars era based. It would be fun to see an alternating short seasons of What if/Infinities and Tales of the Jedi. Little spicy non-canon and Then a little canon.
A new villain could give Star Wars a breath of fresh air other than the Sith. The Yuuzhan Vong could be a great choice for the New Jedi Order movie.

Q&A: Did Ventress die in Dark Disciple bc of Bad Batch appearance conflict?
To be honest, I know the Sequel Trilogy had some faults, but I never forgot that the OT and the PT also had faults. I still love the ST era and their characters, all of them including Snoke. I want LucasFilm to fill in the gaps like they did with the PT. I want more content including comics, animation, live actions D+ shows and movies too.
What if... Finn never became the protagonist of the sequels by not having his awakening to the Force and so Poe never escaped, Rey never left Jakku, the Emperor found Luke and the Resistance was wiped out?

I like the idea of no more sith.... EXCEPT have someone vaguely sith-y show up at the VERY beginning as a villian, only to be defeated in the first 10 minutes and handwaved away with Rei mentioning how every few week some idiot in a mask shows up proclaiming themselves to be the next great threat only to get a beatdown from the republic/jedi.
Question for next time, what do you want to see in the next generation of Lightsabers?
