As someone who's been watching the channel for a long time and considers myself pretty well versed in my star wars knowledge, I still learned some stuff from the A New Hope FAQ video!
My strangest take on your new setup? I don't know how I feel about seeing both your legs for the first time. Just from the way the shot is framed it seems like you both have huge legs.... I do like Helo's tail just popping up into frame and that's all you see... lol... Good on you both for trying new things.
In terms of TV it's to early to announce a new show since they have a pretty full plate already. We don't know for sure if Skeleton Crew is just going to be a one off or have multiple seasons, Acolyte is all but confirmed to have a season 2, Ahsoka season 2 only got confirmed recently. It'll be in 2025 or 26 when we hear a new show that will fill in the gaps that Mando, Andor, and maybe Skeleton Crew will leave. I think they don't advertise the exact release time for streaming because it's apart of their network management. They let the people who are paying attention the best viewing time so when the next day arrives there will be less people watching the same thing that could potentially slow down the network. That's why the Marvel shows moved time slots when they first came out because of the network issues they were having.
More of a Meta Question: How do you deal with dust on your display there? Do you clean around there often, or just occasionally? There's so much on the shelf, it feels like it'd be a pain to move things around to clean.
And to finish my previous thought about the ANH FAQ video - I did know almost all of the answers because I consume a lot of canon and have been a fan of your channel for years - but to see it all in one place really made me appreciate all the efforts that creatives have made over the last 30+ years to tackle unanswered questions and “…bind the galaxy together.”
Star Wars is kind of a modern folklore, and folklore CONSTANTLY contracts itself. Think of how many versions of Cinderella there are, or the mess that is Arthurian legends. Just because one story contradicts another doesn't mean the other story stops existing.

I just started reading dark disciple this week, I’m enjoying it more than the Ahsoka novel that I finished beforehand (Ahsoka is my second favourite character) I think the whole Ventress situation is different because of dark disciple based off of the screenplay for unfinished TCW episodes, that said it shouldn’t hinder anybody’s enjoyment regardless. Question, do you think will see novelisations for the Star Wars Jedi games? Akin to what happened with the Star Wars force unleashed games back in the day.

I have a question about Empire for your upcoming video on that: we know that the Millennium Falcon’s hyperdrive doesnt work as the crew escapes Hoth and the Imperial fleet. After losing the fleet they end up near the Anoat system before heading to Bespin. My question is - are Hoth Anoat and Bespin all very close to the point where you can travel between them without hyperspace or lightspeed within a reasonable amount of time, or if the falcon had some sort of backup drive that could only take them so far

Acolyte and Skeleton Crew will probably still be on the way at that point, Ahsoka Season 2, potential Mando season 4 - all of those things will be spread out probably (especially since Ahsoka 2/Mando 4 will be tying in with movies), so those will tide us over, but I can imagine something being announced this year. Hopefully a project set during Old Republic era too, plus another potential main animated series like CW/Rebels/BB.

I’d love it if we see Ezra using his new lightsaber and Jacen using his father’s lightsaber, which is revealed to have been recovered by the Ghost crew from the Imperial HQ in the Rebels finale, to spar, using the lightsabers’ training mode and Ezra could even show Jacen how to shorten the blade of Kanan’s lightsaber, just like how his father showed Ezra.
I always thought Ahsoka season 2 was only going to cover the events in Peridia but now that Mando is going the movie route they'll either need a new show or the Ahsoka series will jump around with the story.
How about a live action series called "Bounty Hunters"?. They could focus on a story of a different bounty hunter each week. FYI: Cad Bane is my favorite.
So to touch on animation, I need an animated miniseries about Maul and Qi'ra after Solo. From the sound of things, I'm guessing it might be told in book form, which I'm just not that interested in because I prefer my Star Wars as movies and shows, but to put Maul in place for his appearance in Rebels is paramount for me. After that, I say you go Old Republic, maybe even doing both Sith Wars and Mandalorian Wars. Mandalorians are still the talk of the town, people also like badguys with the Sith, perhaps even the Sith were involved in the Mandalorians' wars with the Jedi, and the Jedi just never knew. With the Mandalorians fighting the Jedi, you can also explore some morally gray areas where the Jedi are not necessarily the paragons of good they claim to be by going to war with this whole culture that doesn't like them, and the Mandalorians are not as savage as can be assumed despite how much they war with each other. There's a lot of story potential here. It also avoids any conflicts with things in the works. You could easily do a story between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, but I think they'll want to wait until the Mando-Verse wraps up just so that nobody is stepping on each others toes, you avoid some of the mistakes made by Resistance being made at the same times as the Sequels where plot points can be explored with some foreknowledge of what it leads to or with what can be used from before that enhances the show, and it avoids any spoilers like how there was that one episode of Forces of Destiney showing that Hera was at the Battle of Endor right before she was captured in Rebels, completely rendering that moment empty because all the stakes were gone. No, we need to go further into the past. People have been itching for more Old Republic stuff, let's indulge them. Also the whole thing with Dinsey+ switching things to the night before at 9pm EST, it's always so last minute. I think they genuinely do plan to have Bad Batch be on Wednesdays at 3am, and I'll absolutely have my alarm set for 2:45 to watch as the episodes drop, but if they do switch it at the last second, I won't lie, while I will stay up later and watch, it is a bit annoying because now my plans have been changed at the last second. And they keep going back and forth with what is or is not released at 9pm. It's usually been live action stuff that's been switched to the night release than animation though, so I expect them to stay true to the 3am release. I'm quite content with that because I have to get up at 5am regardless. Going to sleep earlier is easier than staying up later and then losing sleep because of when I absolutely have to be up. And remember, you go through a sleep cycle roughly every 90 minutes, so if you plan to go to bed at time that's a multiple of 90 minutes before your alarm goes off, you won't be as groggy from being awoken in the middle of deep sleep. So 2:45, try to go to sleep at about 8:45 or 10:15, trust me, it works.
Q&A: do you guys think The Marauder is going to get destroyed in the first few episodes of Bad Batch season 3, I mean it hardly shows up in the trailer apart from a few shots and the other ship shots are either Nu Class shuttles or Phees ship
A Doctor Aphra disney+ series would be amazing if the right writers & directors are involved, even a Young Aphra series where someone like Chloe Bennet plays older Aphra leafing into a story with 1 or 2 younger actresses playing Aphra at different ages giving us her background & how she became who she is , with her parents this could be interesting especially her dad

As thrilled as I am to have Ventress back, the thing of SW characters coming back from the dead is harder to accept every time they do it. Bringing Tech back as well in Bad Batch S3 (especially in a manner similar to Echo) might be pushing it.

RIP to the legendary Carl Weathers. He'll be dearly missed 💔 I do agree that in the big picture, it probably is a small subgroup of the fandom who gets legitimately angry about changes in Canon and I can understand it to an extent, it can be hard to wrap your head around changes to something you hold dear but it's also just part of being a fan if you ask me. Watching people freak out about it NGL as if this is some new big problem is almost funny when it's old hat to anyone who was a fan back in the Legends days or even just remembers the history with continuity under George. There were much bigger retcons much more frequently back then because George didn't put too much stock in continuity and just did what he felt was best for the story he wanted to tell at the time. The biggest examples of that are Attack of the Clones, which changed Boba Fett's history entirely, and especially The Clone Wars. The Zygerrian Slaver arc in S4 was originally a comic that told the same basic story but then George wanted to adapt it and changed a lot in the process. The death of Even Piell in S3 straight up retconned his death during the Jedi Purge in a book and it was acknowledged by Lucasfilm even back then. Stuff like this has always happened, it's not some new issue with Dave Filoni somehow always being at fault. And sometimes people will call things "retcons" when they're actually not, like Thrawn being loyal to the Empire in Ahsoka, not just the Chiss, which if you know the character at all, you know he was created to be an Imperial loyalist aiming to restore the Empire in his own vision and the nuanced motivations he had came much later as part of his character arc. Retcon is really just a buzzword these days. It's near impossible to have a franchise this big with so many different mediums and never have clashes or conflicts. And sure, they did make a statement about keeping a consistent Canon years ago but even the latest movies haven't keep that 100% consistent, The Last Jedi retconned Rey and Poe meeting each other before she leaves for Ahch-To. There were always going to be these holes between mediums that we will just have to work at ourselves in our own ways to reconcile, as much as I do love it when things connect and line up in Star Wars stories.
16:30 - I disagree on a live-action Rogue Squadron/X-Wing series. I've decided I absolutely want this animated they can stay closer to the Stackpole/Allston books (while working it into NuCanon).

So to touch on animation, I need an animated miniseries about Maul and Qi'ra after Solo. From the sound of things, I'm guessing it might be told in book form, which I'm just not that interested in because I prefer my Star Wars as movies and shows, but to put Maul in place for his appearance in Rebels is paramount for me. After that, I say you go Old Republic, maybe even doing both Sith Wars and Mandalorian Wars. Mandalorians are still the talk of the town, people also like badguys with the Sith, perhaps even the Sith were involved in the Mandalorians' wars with the Jedi, and the Jedi just never knew. With the Mandalorians fighting the Jedi, you can also explore some morally gray areas where the Jedi are not necessarily the paragons of good they claim to be by going to war with this whole culture that doesn't like them, and the Mandalorians are not as savage as can be assumed despite how much they war with each other. There's a lot of story potential here.
It also avoids any conflicts with things in the works. You could easily do a story between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, but I think they'll want to wait until the Mando-Verse wraps up just so that nobody is stepping on each others toes, you avoid some of the mistakes made by Resistance being made at the same times as the Sequels where plot points can be explored with some foreknowledge of what it leads to or with what can be used from before that enhances the show, and it avoids any spoilers like how there was that one episode of Forces of Destiney showing that Hera was at the Battle of Endor right before she was captured in Rebels, completely rendering that moment empty because all the stakes were gone. No, we need to go further into the past. People have been itching for more Old Republic stuff, let's indulge them.
Also the whole thing with Dinsey+ switching things to the night before at 9pm EST, it's always so last minute. I think they genuinely do plan to have Bad Batch be on Wednesdays at 3am, and I'll absolutely have my alarm set for 2:45 to watch as the episodes drop, but if they do switch it at the last second, I won't lie, while I will stay up later and watch, it is a bit annoying because now my plans have been changed at the last second. And they keep going back and forth with what is or is not released at 9pm. It's usually been live action stuff that's been switched to the night release than animation though, so I expect them to stay true to the 3am release. I'm quite content with that because I have to get up at 5am regardless. Going to sleep earlier is easier than staying up later and then losing sleep because of when I absolutely have to be up. And remember, you go through a sleep cycle roughly every 90 minutes, so if you plan to go to bed at time that's a multiple of 90 minutes before your alarm goes off, you won't be as groggy from being awoken in the middle of deep sleep. So 2:45, try to go to sleep at about 8:45 or 10:15, trust me, it works.

Q&A: do you guys think The Marauder is going to get destroyed in the first few episodes of Bad Batch season 3, I mean it hardly shows up in the trailer apart from a few shots and the other ship shots are either Nu Class shuttles or Phees ship
A Doctor Aphra disney+ series would be amazing if the right writers & directors are involved, even a Young Aphra series where someone like Chloe Bennet plays older Aphra leafing into a story with 1 or 2 younger actresses playing Aphra at different ages giving us her background & how she became who she is , with her parents this could be interesting especially her dad

I like the new setup better also. Before, I used to think that Mollie would side-eye and be mad / watchful 😁, but this is more relaxed. The furniture item in the middle, especially with Cobb guarding, comes across as a wall between you two (visually). 🙂✌

As thrilled as I am to have Ventress back, the thing of SW characters coming back from the dead is harder to accept every time they do it. Bringing Tech back as well in Bad Batch S3 (especially in a manner similar to Echo) might be pushing it.

I do agree that in the big picture, it probably is a small subgroup of the fandom who gets legitimately angry about changes in Canon and I can understand it to an extent, it can be hard to wrap your head around changes to something you hold dear but it's also just part of being a fan if you ask me. Watching people freak out about it NGL as if this is some new big problem is almost funny when it's old hat to anyone who was a fan back in the Legends days or even just remembers the history with continuity under George. There were much bigger retcons much more frequently back then because George didn't put too much stock in continuity and just did what he felt was best for the story he wanted to tell at the time. The biggest examples of that are Attack of the Clones, which changed Boba Fett's history entirely, and especially The Clone Wars. The Zygerrian Slaver arc in S4 was originally a comic that told the same basic story but then George wanted to adapt it and changed a lot in the process. The death of Even Piell in S3 straight up retconned his death during the Jedi Purge in a book and it was acknowledged by Lucasfilm even back then. Stuff like this has always happened, it's not some new issue with Dave Filoni somehow always being at fault.
And sometimes people will call things "retcons" when they're actually not, like Thrawn being loyal to the Empire in Ahsoka, not just the Chiss, which if you know the character at all, you know he was created to be an Imperial loyalist aiming to restore the Empire in his own vision and the nuanced motivations he had came much later as part of his character arc. Retcon is really just a buzzword these days. It's near impossible to have a franchise this big with so many different mediums and never have clashes or conflicts. And sure, they did make a statement about keeping a consistent Canon years ago but even the latest movies haven't keep that 100% consistent, The Last Jedi retconned Rey and Poe meeting each other before she leaves for Ahch-To. There were always going to be these holes between mediums that we will just have to work at ourselves in our own ways to reconcile, as much as I do love it when things connect and line up in Star Wars stories.
