Good lord man. I'm not even a percussionists but I can tell those are some high quality snares, tenors and basses. Everything sounds so crisp and I love it.
Carolina Crown Drumline featuring brass xD
Good their drumline is good. They didnt steal the show they are the show😂
@@squadalahhh Just like to mention that without the drumline, then they would most likely be off tempo so......
@@austinstills7348 that's actually what the drum major is for so...... Based off that comment and your compete lack of ability to recognize a joke, I'm just going to take a wild guess here and say you've never even been on tour.
girls locker room: "omg NO I ripped my new Lulu Lemon yoga pants"
boys locker room: 9:18
Yep, Crown's drumline so much better than previous seasons. Look out next season for Crown to strongly contend for the title.
Jeff Menendez No I haven’t. I’m totally new to the DCI thing. I like Crowns sound. I wonder why is it that they won’t have an entire relationship show for the “big dance”
Dayvon Savage You got to search for the field show complete with the pit or front ensemble to give a complete picture musically. I would also suggest searching Santa Clara Vanguard 2018 for their show and the drumline.
Damn that T-Bone feature is the absolute best. I cant get enough! Cant wait to see it live at finals!!!!
huge props to the people who take such great videos of stuff like this, they sacrifice watching this and savoring it, in order to give us a legitimately excellent video lmao
I hate how quad breaks are always overshadowed by horns or tubas, when snares and basses get their own feature and no one else plays
James P. Confident I mean usually in high school, yes very, but in DCI they give snare, basses and quads their own little solo and break where no one else plays except the pit if anyone, it’s just weird how they overshadowed that break
Sunny DEElight not Santa Clara vanguard show best drumline book I’ve ever seeeeeeeen Rennick a god
this is true for the standstill, but in the full show, the bass break (1:17) was covered up by front ensemble, and the snare break (1:40) had synths over it
So weird without the FE
Squash man Dew I agree. 1:19 was pretty empty without the deet deet diddly deet doots from the synth.
@@dashroom4292 It more demonstrates what happens when you take the front ensemble out of a show that previously had it in.
y’all ever seen a whole band just straight vibing? that right there is 9:18
I remember being there in Salem. They had to stand still because of a large amount of rain. Everyone in the stands got soaked.
yahhh i was there too it was a fun day lol hiding under the stands half the time
Saw this live sitting right on the 50, lost a little bearing but that’s fine
just saying i’m literally crying bc this is so good🥺
Jesus Christ that HORNLIIIIINNE
Nice quality 👌🏼
And Crown brass owns so hard, i love it 😍
I think they forgot to tell the drum line that this was a “stand still”
....the execution of this Corp seems unreal to me. Wish I could’ve seen this live. Absolutely jaw dropping!
This is such a nice beast still? So conflicted by this show. It tries to be mean and then makes up for it in 24 counts.
Also the drumline sure can dance.
Even with the front in and on the move this show has super weird pacing, but that upper battery is so fkin good
9:18 every time! You’re just amazed.
I firmly believe that the Crown Snareline has the most pleasing technique to the eye. They can crank out those FFF 15” triplet rolls and play the tightest rhythms without making their arm and wrist rotate weirdly.
Still trying to figure what dance move center snare was doing at 0:25😂
this hornline was sent straight from heaven
It was more powerful in person
Everyone out here talking about THAT part, but not that SPICY Bruckner 8 Finale opening
Edit: AND 7:21 JESUS CHRIST THAT WAS CRISPY
Crown Drumline - *moves positions*
DCI StandStill - "Am I a joke to you?"
3:41 jesus drumline, those three horn hits are one sound in the full show and you sliced through them like butter
Just imagine if SCV did this. With all of the electronics and pit going on in their show, I can't even imagine how they'd sound in a standstill. Probably quite an interesting performance.
Was only here for 9:18
Bruh I remember hearing this at boa in 2018 and we sat right in front of them. The coolest thing I’ve ever experienced
agreed - that lil stick flare before 4:00 -- subtly dope.
I WAS THERE I WAS AT THAT STANDSTILL IN SALEM
It's so wierd to hear the show without a pit
Bro that dude dutting is so damn loud, id love him😂
I was so scared that one of the people from percussion was going to fall 😂
This was so cool just wish it hadn’t rained so much
No front ensemble?
They were rained out. They didn't have time to reset everything before. They also have no color guard.
Ayyyyyyyy i was thereeee
Very nice
6:40 📱🔉🙄
5:50 if I fell by the Beatles? Like does anyone hear it?
Edit: how did I just notice that?
What’s that last song called when the tubas and low brass instruments played?
LOW BRASSSSSSSS YESSSSSS
Yes!👍
Everyone is talking about the trombones at 9:18 but nobody's talking about Bruckner 8 as the opener :(
Wait I didn't know the on the shoulders of giants was in it
Awesome!!!!
やべぇーーーかっちょええーーー
I MISS BEING A BASS DRUMMER.
8:50 omg just that whole section
I wish crown would play more stuff that would stand alone as just music sometimes. Vanguard has the same issue. Learn from the coats lol. Good stuff though
great quality!! what type of phone did you use to record this? xD
iPhone 7, but only in 720p and 30fps. I had to dial it back to ensure I could record the entire show haha
Blew me away though.
Bass1 18" or 16" ?
So a *standstill*, eh?
@10:44 to the end = The brass blowin' down the house!
I think Carolina is going to take the dub
Connor Skeeters don’t want to be a downer but they have been in 4th place the whole season. Sorry man.
everyone's saying that, I just dont see what's so good about them. They dont have anything memorable about their show. Unlike crown which has a very memorable show with all the dark and jagged themes and the great trombone features.
Kenneth Schechter Evidently you haven't heard enough of the SCV closer to say that :p
Most powerful closing theme I've ever heard from any show
Im glad to see Crowns drumline got better since the atrocity in 2016 that was their drumline
i should practice my scales
Split at 10:40 mmm mmm
This video is proof that pit is important, otherwise, it sounds like an empty and unfinished show.
7:21 crispy
The dance team is good!!
Even though I play snare drum😂
i wasn't really a big fan of the show's concept and it wasn't very entertaining, but the music is good as heck
Them hights🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Drumline Carolina Crown😂
tubas are mean I'm this
They should’ve placed second lmao bd shouldn’t of placed this year there was soooo many better shows
Matthew Oncale 1) you’re dumb purely because you said core and not corps.
2) BD’s show was ass in a garbage can
BD had a great horn book tho, and the show was definitely a challenging one. Actually enjoyed a lot of it from a hornline perspective. (Usually don’t enjoy BD hornlines) but CROWNS DRUMLINE WAS KILLER. 3RD PLACE FINISH HELL YEAH!!!!! The brass should always tune this way for crown (I believe its 442 if I’m not mistaken) and the drumline tuned like this is GREAT. The overall tone is just AMAZING. This is definitely my favorite Crown sound. While nowhere near my favorite book, it was good show! They definitely could’ve not used props and done more drill though.
10:44 your even more welcome
Nice quality on everything, but I think snares and quads should've added more back hands and sweeps. Other than that great job band..btw imma drummer too🥁
TOO
MUCH
BODY
I've heard rumors that they're replacing a bit of it with marching at some point, depending on their Visual scores this week
As a matter of preference, I tend to agree with you. This does seem to be a trend in DCI but this amount is almost distracting, IMO. They sound great though.
I quite like it, but I do agree that with the drumline in front like that it is very distracting. I think it works nicely on the field.
edit: quite is def not quiet
Nope. It's what makes Crown's Drums unique. Who *wouldn't* wanna groove on the move? It's the most hype thing you can do on the field. 2015's line made me fall in love with the concept. If you can do it in indoor shows why not outdoors, yeah? Still a performance.
They'll never be as good as SCV
Good on terms of what? They’ve consistently beat them in brass this year
This is it chief
7:20 you’re welcome
This video doesn't serve justice of how powerful their brass is
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost the password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Amir Randy instablaster =)
