    I have been fertilizing my plants with this exact brand fish fertilizer for 5 years (maybe longer)now. The plants love, love, love it! This is all I use whether it’s for cacti, orchids, houseplants, etc. I put about 1 tbsp in my 1 gallon watering can and water monthly during the growing season. Haven’t had any problems with root burn.
    Yes, the smell isn’t pleasant, but it doesn’t last forever. If my plants love it, my family and I can suffer for a bit, lol.

      Hi! I was wondering, say I mixed some in with water to water my plants and had a few inches of water left in the watering can. Is it bad to let that sit for multiple days and then water with it? Assuming so bc I have some random mold on a few of my plants soil which is odd cause I def don’t overwater & I bottom water.

    Great video. You may have just over fertilized by quite a bit though. If you read the back label it say's to use 1 teaspoon for indoor plants, not table spoon. I made the same mistake lol. Great video though!

    I noticed you put 1 TABLESPOON in a quart, where it should’ve been 1 TEASPOON. Did your plants get burned? I use Neptune’s Harvest Fish & Seaweed fertilizer and I love it. For a quart of water, I only use 3/4 TEASPOON. Works great! 😉. Thanks for the video!

    I use this on my house plants and it DOES NOT SMELL! First, you are only using 1-2 tsp in a GALLON of water. Also, If my plants are growing and putting out new growth I FEED THEM! That is the purpose of feeding after all .... right? I also water my plants lightly 2 days prior to Fish Plant Food to prevent burning roots and in preparing roots for food.

    I just picked some up last week. Does anyone know if your plant is bone dry will it burn them? I always let most of mine get bone dry before I water. Amanda from planterina says she does this all year around as long as she sees new growth. I see new growth so I think I will be okay its mid October here in ohio. I feel like my peperomia needs fertilizer because the new growth looks a bit weird.... I will only use a 1/4 of the recommended dose though just to be safe.

    I'm curious, your plants were okay after using this? I was super worried that maybe I went too hard w the fertilizer, but it was definitely not as brown as this. So I think I should be okay? The smell is not the worst...but I'm worried that it will just forever smell like fish guts in here

      @stephanierene3537 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I fertilize when my plants are actively growing, even if that's during the winter time. Sometimes our indoors plants don't realize it's winter time so they just continue to grow and they're going to need nutrients just as they would during any time of year while they're actively growing.

    • @heavymechanic2
      @heavymechanic2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You are better off with a synthetic fertilizer, otherwise your home will smell like a diaper bin. I use the fish stuff outdoors and I get better results if its diluted more than the label suggests (no more than 1 Tbs per gallon of water).

    You should have licked the spoon clean like when your baking. I believe in letting your water sit out overnight before watering to dissipate the chlorine but the other metals in the tap water are good for plants I think, so using distilled water would take away those minerals. I use to make a worm casting tea with bat guano, molasses, and kelp but its a hassle.
