I'm so sorry your lovely plants are struggling now. You seem to be struggling too as I have never seen you quite so sad in any past videos. Sending positive vibes to you and your precious plants. Hugs.
Prayers for you, Erika! You have a whole community of people here who love and appreciate you. It’s clear that both you and your plants are going through difficulties- just remember that sometimes these stressful situations bring forth the most beautiful new growth! You will get through this and so will your plant babies. 💕
Hey girlie wanted to say this broke my heart to see you so down, sometimes it’s better to let a few plants go then to let it mess with our mental health. Sending you all the recovering good growing vibes ❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you are back! Transition can be tough for people and plants. Be kind to yourself! Your plants will probably bounce back. I know it is stressful, but plants can be replaced. You take good care of your plants this is just a minor setback.
Omg, I'm so sorry that a lot of stressful events are happening all at once. Honestly, when I'm overwhelmed by my plants, sometimes I'll sell off a bunch just to take the load off. It sucks, but I could always get the plant back when I'm better
I think seeing you rehabbing your plants is going to be great content. Sounds like you already have a favourite plants video figured out 😂😂 sometimes starting over with your plant can be fun, seeing them little again to watch them grow again. This could also be a good opportunity to chop up some plants and sell any left over props ❤
Erika so sorry that you are going through a “move” it sucks to put it plainly. It’s been pretty cold as far as Southern California temperatures go, hopefully you’ll get your indoor plants back inside where it’s warmer.
@@ErikaLodes I know how much care you have put into your plants, this must be very stressful until you get situated. I’m sure they will respond to your care with a little time.
Sorry to hear all this :( Moving is so super stressful, especially when you accidentally mess up and damage your plants. It can be really distressing, but plants are resilient so hopefully your fiddle leaf fig and orchid recover fully! Who knows? Maybe even the die off will help revitalize the plant come next spring! Always remember plant care is not self-care, and while hobbies do have a tie-in with mental health and self-care, they’re still chores and can be very laborious or strenuous for us to keep up with them, especially in such a hectic stage of your life!! It’s always fine to take breaks from TH-cam when you are overwhelmed and need to pay more of that time to your plants, and of course, yourself!
Hi Ericka ! I was thinking about how we haven’t heard from you in a while and I want you to know that you’re not alone in your struggles, I’ve been having a hard past few months too. I think we all are. Please don’t feel any pressure to get some videos out. I know this video was a month ago but I hope everything is going a bit better than it was and that your plants recover/have recovered . All things grow with love and time !
I love anything you do, I just like to hang out with you ❤ sending you lots of love man! 🎥 I’d love to watch videos of you repotting/ checking the roots of all the different groups of plants Like a series or something
Prayers for you and your new home. Plants are going to be there..but happiness is deeper. Well Erika it's time to show us what your made of, we're here for you, you got it. This is what you do and who you are, you started and inspired A LOT of ppl to be plant hobbyist. You can't cry over spilled milk...plants lol, some will die I had to learn that. Sounds like you need a support system ask for help and ppl in your area will answer your call, get that boyfriend to feel some of that stress...he's a guy...Idk I have literally 150 plus plants and I just had company and they were in aw right now my plants are doing better than ever which is really upsetting to hear the your are doing the opposite you got to take a couple plant days to get them in the right spot and just do it. Our plants can feel how we feel they're telling you something, you tell them "we're gonna be okay" but like rnrn ❤💚
You got it made I live in iowa we get Hella snow an Hella cold weather I'm originally from California born in Downey pero my family move didn't have a choice in that move ... pero seeing how many plants you have an for them to be outside that's still balling I can't do that here so over winter ahuevo have to keep in my room fasho!!! All your plants are nice I like them big one by the door thoes is sick I'm sure with that positive attitude y Esa sonrisa everything is possible. I always think of what my life would of been if my family never moved from cali if I love an grow them now ik I would of gone crazy with it over there with jus the weather so keep your head up an atleast you dnt have snow on the ground lol , stay safe Chula
I'm sorry for how you are feeling but I hope for everything to get better for you! You really look down so I pray for your personal life to have a speedy recovery. Stay safe and positive!
I remember when I moved from Ohio to Georgia and they spent 4 days in a cold truck and the mobile home wasn’t ready. No electric therefore no heat. I was so sad about losing so many plants. The ones that survive are stronger from the ordeal. You and your beautiful plants will mostly survive and be stronger both you and the surviving plants. Good luck girl you got this.
How come all the plants are outside when you moved instead putting them inside? Sudden change to indoors to outdoors without slowly transitioning to it can affect the plants alot.
Sorry that you are dealing with some challenging times. Take care of yourself first and foremost and I hope that the majority of your plant babies can tough it out and survive the new surroundings. 🐞
Hi Erica. So sad to see you so down. You are so upbeat and cheerful on other days. Everything shall pass. That's my mantra. Please lookafter yourself. Plants included. Take 'me time' more. Bless you. We all root for you and your plants. 💝💝💝
Hi Erika, that all seems very stressful, but you've popped out the other side so the underlying issues are getting better now, not worse. Try and give them the time to pop back and keep taking care of them (and yourself) and things will work out. If I had to guess it's just fiber damage from the move. I had this issue a lot during movements before I added fans to my grow areas. I think a move would be stressful even for a weathered plant, so try and be understanding and just focus on yourself and things that make you the happiest, we all wish the best for you and your garden is secondary.
Bless you, you kind of sound exasperated at times. I think it's super stressful moving, let alone moving and having to care for so many plants too. Maybe you could chop some to propagate, and hopefully whilst they're in water you can let them do their thing whilst you get yourself settled and take time out for this transition, I know moves can be exhausting as it is. I'm sure they'll bounce back - look after yourself and be kind to yourself first of all. I lost a lot of plants whilst trying to find the right spot for them, it's how we learn I guess xx
That is like my worst fear is having to mass move all my plants. I have down sized alot since last year (probably only have about 30 to 40 plants now) but the ones I kept are my absolute favorites so anything happening to them would be so sad. Hopefully your plants have their moment and then are able to bounce back once it's a little bit warmer out :)
Erikaaa. My heart is breaking for your plants. I understand your stress. I hope your plants recover and I hope all is well for you. Moving is stressful😭
Awww😔 So sorry you and your beautiful plants are having a rough time! This to shall pass! 🫂 I can tell how much you truly love your plants. I have a couple that are struggling right now because of the weather change but if we take it one day at a time and make ourselves get to the "root" of the problem we can fix it because this is what we do best. You got this!!! I believe in you!🥰🙏 Also you are one of my favorite Content creators. Can't wait to see your progress.
Morning. Can u try and create a "mini shade canopy" for your plants outside....Group your taller plants together and below that put your smaller plants. That way the taller plants like bop will provide the needed shade.
Erica: I do hope the resilience that plants have will allow regrowth for you. You and your plants need time to get re-acclamated in your new settings. Don't give up hope. Although we have missed you posting frequently, take time for yourself first. I'm sure all of your subscribers are grateful for this update. God Bless. 🙌
I had a similar thing happen to me. Moved house and put some of my plants outside while the inside got all sorted but the ones outside went downhill. I ended up chopping up a few and the propergations are just starting to take. So there is always bouncing back and now they look better than ever as I'm able to make fuller pots and was able to give some cuttings away to friends.
I moved recently too and a lot of my plants got jacked up. Hard to keep up with watering while in the process of moving, definitely made me feel like i was neglecting them and felt discouraged too. After a month or so things are way better and yeah finding oit which spoys get sun and which don't. Hsng in there youre doing great. Plants will get better.💚💚🌿🌿

Sending many many prayers to you and your plants. They all know you love them and im sure they feel it very much i have a feeling they will bounce back twice as nice. I'm hoping for that for you anyways. I'm sorry you're having to go through whatever it is that has put you and your plants in this situation sometimes we just have to go through a hardship to really see all the beautiful things we bring to this huge amazing world. I'm sure God will make sure things turn out better for you. Wishing you all the best and a better happier Christmas & new year God bless.
My plants haven’t been well for awhile. I just started to notice some growth finally since installing some grow lights in the summer. And now I’m not looking forward to the winter. I don’t really remember what it was like last winter. But my point is my plants have never looked as good as yours. But I have a feeling once you and your plants settle in all will be well. Sending you lots of positive vibes and hugs. Take care.
sending you lots of support and love from afar. I will be more than happy to send cuttings for free for any that don't make it :) I loved the humming bird moment though!
Los Angeles weather has definitely been unpredictable and colder than usual. Rain, then Santa Ana winds/complete dry..and rain again, etc... hard for plants to swtich from being indoors to outdoors (in addition to the move). Did you move out of the city? Is there any chance you can bring in the anthurium? The more you can bring in at least under the balcony or indoors, the better. Winter will be cold. Sun exposure will burn, if all at once. Hang in there!
@@ErikaLodes Good to know...I love watching your garden center tours which are local to me! The house in the hills seems so quiet, out of the hustle bustle. Enjoy the change!
Honestly? Your hoyas look a hell of a lot better than the hoyas that I saw at a nursery this afternoon. Plants are resilient. They may be ugly for a while but they'll come back. Hang in there kid, you're tougher than you know.
they are such in investment that you just want to see them flourish and be a healthy plant, but in all honestly its allot of work to take care of so many, so having some die on you is okay. I see it as a lesson to research more and truly understand what the plant needs. I too am struggling with certain plants but it only makes me want to understand it more. Lets just all hope that we have a nice winter and spring comes quick next year!
Heya bella, the plants are essentially undergoing shock, they were happy in your room & now exposed to a more natural environment. Bring your babies back inside where its cozy. Bring back your cabinets & you'll see how much cheer it'll bring you ! Sonríe linda 😉
Hey hey, Plants can need month to reaclimate. Sometimes they are fine after 1 month, somtimes 2-3 Month. So in this process they can look like your scindapsus or your trees and id doesn't need to be root rot. I know the struggle with the uncertainty, when the leaves look like this. But checking causes more stress. Personally i would give them time and try to ignore the symptoms for one or two month 😅
The title of this video - ditto me! This frigid SoCal fifty degrees doesn't help my outdoor houseplants! Haha: they're fine. They're dormant. But most aren't even dormant. If it helps at all, I checked the long term weather reports- no nights below 45° F after the start of the new year!! All my aroids are surprisingly still going. The only sketchy ones I have now are Alocasia Polly and like, some succulents outside. All my other Alocasia shockingly, are outside doing great but that's only until I start forgetting them. 50 degrees is so cold for us. My bones are chilled. I sleep in gloves sometimes. So going outside... meh. I see them, they're rocking still. My Alocasia odora, lowrider, black velvet, silver dragon, and even regal shield gets some full sun! Well, good luck!
When I moved it was during the after of a foot surgery my landlord told my helpers to put my plants outside and they burnt then she noticed and poured water on them. What I didnt lose in burn I lost in root rot. Why she made my friends put them outside when I had a table set up for them I'll never know but she is crazy lol.
Hey what's sup I jus watched your video on turning an outdoor wild plant into a house plant shyts dope I love your vib an attitude towards plants I love em myself y estas muy ermosa Wow !!! Te Mando mucho amor y carińo
Sorry to hear that your plants are not at its best condition right now. But you have you consider that you grew them in controlled conditions indoors and then all of a sudden you put them outside. So give it time to acclimate and for sure they will bounce back to its glory!
Oooo! You are going to learn so much!!!! You should TOTALLY look into bonsai too!! FYI...the plants are in shock. They are not hardened off. It's like putting an inside cat free in the woods. You have to slowly expose them to outside. 1 day 1 hour outside 2nd day 2 hours outside 3rd day 3 hours outside ex.
Lol i have a lil “bonsai” i made. It’s so cute to me but a real bonsai pro would be like wtf is that hahaha Ya they rlly got thrown out into the winter 🥺 i hope to learn a lot from this so next time it won’t be so bad rip
Aww I'm sorry 💔 I feel bad. But it's okay, im sure some will recover ❤️🩹 @11:38 luv it!!! 💚💚💚 Other than being bummed out about your plants I hope you're doing okay :/
Hi Erica, sorry your having a low right now, but I know it will get better, your strong! I really enjoy your channel, I think alot of your plants will come back. Your in zone 9/10 which should be OK for most of your plants. Very jealous of your climate, always dreamed of going to Southern California. Love in your videos you see the vegetation of a Mediterranean climate. Eucalyptus, olives, Washington palms oh my! Take care of yourself, will be watching.

Hang in there! Hoping for better times ahead and that the transition for you and your plants goes smoother than the last few weeks 💚
Thank you so much 🥹 i think it will get easier as the plants recover
Heya bella, the plants are essentially undergoing shock, they were happy in your room & now exposed to a more natural environment. Bring your babies back inside where its cozy. Bring back your cabinets & you'll see how much cheer it'll bring you ! Sonríe linda 😉
Mhmm especially some of the plants she has are the type to go into shock if you look at them the wrong way
Yes I have done this before by putting them outside on rainy days 😮💨 they are sick of my nonsense lol
@@ErikaLodes Well I'm not 😅, so hurry and cheer up!
I hope they recover. You have always had beautiful plants so I know you got this. What is temp outside?
I don’t think it’s gotten under 45F but it’s been a lil chilly in the 50s I think
@@ErikaLodes you got this
Hey hey,
Plants can need month to reaclimate.
Ok this is so reassuring!! I’ll leave them & let them recover on their own.
Que Dios te proteje y tu cuide, Te Mando mucho cariño y Amor ect. 💖saludos des de Iowa
Ughhhh that sounds awful! I’m sorry that happened to you, that would make me so angry
Oh gurl 😱 Sorry for your current situation, but trouble don't last always. And this too shall past 🙏
I have also just moved with my plants you not alone its awful mine are barely hanging on too. And we in spring so not sure what to do anymore
Hey what's sup I jus watched your video on turning an outdoor wild plant into a house plant shyts dope I love your vib an attitude towards plants I love em myself y estas muy ermosa Wow !!! Te Mando mucho amor y carińo
😱 wow! Did you move in with your bf? Or did your parents and you move into a new home?
Sorry to hear that your plants are not at its best condition right now. But you have you consider that you grew them in controlled conditions indoors and then all of a sudden you put them outside. So give it time to acclimate and for sure they will bounce back to its glory!
Darl if it helps us to help you, make a Patreon. You’re such a sweetheart and it’s a shame to see you blue Bub xx
Brutal. Sorry. You’re going to get leaf loss for sure during a move. Once they adapt in a couple weeks you’ll be good again.
The leaf loss ugh 😮💨💔
The humming birds need sugar not just water. Hate it for you, big changes an sorry your plants are suffering. Hope they perk up soon. 🤗💚
I live in a cold state and this plants are dying because is too cold outside for them, specially if u had them inside and they go outside big change.
Hang in there, you got this
I’m so sorry for your situation. Everyone goes through tough times. You will bounce back. Best wishes to you and your plants!

TCOY ERIKA!!!

Winter is the worst :-(
My current situation matches with you
Youre still the :
B.O.T.A
(Baddest of them all)
I hate the winter with plants 🥲
Worst season 👎🏼
hang in there
I will thank u 🐱
Hiiii!
Hello!!!
Lol
We can’t all be perfect! You’re doing a good job
Same here! Most of my plants are struggling
We will get through this 💪🏼 (& hopefully so will our plants lol)
Same!!!!
Why did you move out of your parents? How are you btw
It’s so cute to me but a real bonsai pro would be like wtf is that hahaha
Ya they rlly got thrown out into the winter 🥺 i hope to learn a lot from this so next time it won’t be so bad rip
Omg why do you have them outside it’s too cold
Omg baby girl i was just looking to see if u or Ashley had any content
Well here we are hehe
I recommended Succulents and seedum!!!!
Aww I'm sorry 💔 I feel bad. But it's okay, im sure some will recover ❤️🩹
@11:38 luv it!!! 💚💚💚
Other than being bummed out about your plants I hope you're doing okay :/
Hi Erica, sorry your having a low right now, but I know it will get better, your strong! I really enjoy your channel, I think alot of your plants will come back. Your in zone 9/10 which should be OK for most of your plants. Very jealous of your climate, always dreamed of going to Southern California. Love in your videos you see the vegetation of a Mediterranean climate. Eucalyptus, olives, Washington palms oh my! Take care of yourself, will be watching.
By the way, loved the Lady palm in your yard! Take care.
Wow!
😱
