I happen to like the more subtle looks. I don't want my car to stand out, I want it to blend in, so only a dedicated car spotter will know it's an ST. So while I agree it doesn't look as aggressive as the last model, I think that's a good thing.

I've just picked mine up in grey, looks like an St line to the untrained eye and that suits me fine! Before this st had a 340i debadged, I prefer to be under the radar un noticed

Loving mine, got it in Frozen White with the Performance Pack, Heads Up Display and had it remapped to 330bhp and 510nm. This thing is very fast now, and sound amazing. I’m really pleased with mine.

All the hard plastic parts you scratched literally are hard plastic in any competitor as well. The top of the dash obviously is soft but you scratch it like it isn't. 🤨
The interior is pretty decent for it's class, certainly ahead of the Megane, i30 or mk8 golf. Got amazing seats, an amazin steering wheel, leatherette on the door panels, all the way down to the armrests, leatherette knee bolsters on the transmission tunnel, felted door pockets and cubby spaces throughout etc. It's still a compact hatch, not a middleclass sedan.

Yes it could look more aggressive at the back end, but nice colour. My favourite is the Fiesta my first was a mark 3 back in 1992!

So a question here and I would appreciate a response before I buy it. How is the noise level for a long motorway drive at normal speeds (140)? Can you set it in comfort and it will be reasonably quiet?
are you using go pro wide or superview? looks like superview, but superview only shoots in 30 fps max not 60, so what resolution and fps you use?

Yeah that front end is exactly like an ST-line aside from the ST badge. Interior is pretty much the same too.
There's some appeal for looking sleeper-ish, but I don't think they nailed it here.

As an American Focus ST owner, I am pretty jealous of this ST. However I wish it had a real handbrake.
That is one thing I don't like....although at the moment that's about it for the negatives. List too long for the positives.

these arent being made in the US anymore, so why is it left hand drive?
A neighbour has one of these with the black rims and orange paint - anything else looks far too boring. I passed up on an ST line because of how dull both the outside and inside are.
I'm upset they got rid of the Focus in the US. And they got rid of the Fusion. And the Taurus. What is FORD doing? Everybody in the US are not going to SUVs and crossovers. They're just going to leave FORD for Honda or Toyota. Because NOT EVERYONE WANTS A SUV!
SUV = Sport Utility Vehicle. They're not sporty, not very good for utility purposes (for that, I'd rather buy a pickup truck), and for just having a vehicle, you could buy anything a lot smaller and a lot cheaper.

@@AusWolf1 They offer good utility for other sports, such as bicycling. Much nicer to keep your bicycle inside your SUV on the way to the trails than outside.

Such a bummer this car isn't coming to the US. I have a 2014 model that I'm loving, but I'd like to upgrade. I would definitely buy this new one, but I guess I'll be shopping for a GTI instead.

Chris723 yeah I mean, I can pick up a couple year old Mustang GT, Camaro SS, or even a Corvette for fairly cheap. Problem is none of those really fit with my lifestyle. The only American V8 that comes to mind would be the CTS-V Wagon, but that car wasn’t and isn’t cheap and is also no longer in production.

It is quite a bit loader in sport mode yes. In real life so to speak it does sound pretty good ( in my opinion of course ).

I almost bought one a few months back, but chose the MK7.5 Fiesta ST instead (because of its compact size). Both are excellent cars IMO. Not a big fan of the 2.3 Ecoboost myself.
@@AusWolf1 Focus mk2 ain't big either and the fiesta mk7.5 ST was also on my list. But after one test drive with the 5 cylinder i was infected.

Hey i have the ford focus st line x . Its the 125 bhp 1 litre ecosport automatic . 2019 and its in frozen white . 18 inch alloys red calipers. Very nice to drive good fun for a small engine and good to drops the kids of in school 😂😂😂

I have just traded my mk3 for the mk4 and I too think the mk3 looked better the mk4 is better in every other way which to me is all that matters. I love the fact that it looks like an st line because when the lights change we all then know who has the ST. Enjoy your Hyundai.........

Not sure if I like the sound the car produce through the sound system , is it something one can switch off ? 🤔
It's not really through the sound system. There's a box with a diaphragm mounted on the engine, hooked up to some of the induction pipework. That is then piped into the footwell. While it's not really "true" engine noise, I find it to be useful in knowing when to shift as the engine note is a little more pronounced. Look for videos on 'sound symposer' if you want to understand it a little more. The whole part can be removed and the pipework sealed up with a bung.

@@LiamD7 that was the case with the old ST, but it's not true with this new one. This new ST actually has the sound coming through the speakers which is disappointing.

You have to drive the 1050hp audi r8 v10 from grip. It drives in 2.3 secs from 0-100 and in 3.9 secs from 100-200

No, the Focus RS usually comes out after they facelift the Focus models, which is usually after about 3 years, and even then there is no telling for sure if there will even be an RS.

My problem with the new Focus is that it looks more like an estate/combi car, rather than a hatchback.
This problem is easily solved by buying it as an estate, than the looks match the form :-) i prefer the proportions of the estate over the 5door anyways.
