  • Hi all and thank you for watching my content. Today we review this 2014 BMW 750Li X Drive M Sport. We bought this 2014 BMW 750Li in 2017 with about 65k miles and a one-owner vehicle. At the time of purchase, this 2014 BMW 750Li needed new brakes. So I spent around $2k to get BMW genuine rotors and pads and negotiated to have the dealership install them. Other than that, the 2014 BMW 750Li X Drive M Sport was recently serviced so it had an oil change of 5W-30 synthetic, and it had new run-flat tires installed at the time.
I knew the first time I drove this 2014 BMW 750Li X Drive M Sport I knew it was something special. The BMW 750Li features an N63 twin-turbo V8 making 480 pounds of torque and 445 horsepower. The 2014 BMW 750Li really runs great, sure it's fast, but the feeling from the hydraulic steering column, the brakes feel perfect for the power and weight, and the suspension can handle it all in with ease. I was so taken aback by the combination of luxury, driving feel, and performance that the BMW 750Li offered. Thus, I pulled the trigger and I thought it was a hell of a deal.
Think about it, the 2014 BMW 750Li X Drive M Sport in this spec costs $119,500 new. And at just three years old and 65 miles in 2017, it had depreciated to $30k! That is insane in my opinion and yeah I thought it was a ton of value for what turned out to be a great 2014 BMW 750Li. Maybe I got a good deal, it had been on the lot and had been priced from $35k and then down from there. Even if it was $35k or $40k, that's still a ton of depreciation off the sticker. And now three years later on this 2014 BMW 750Li, I'm questing if I just got lucky, or if the 2014 BMW 750Li is just a well-made year to get the car.
You see I've heard a lot of people complain about the BMW line, especially the 7 series from 2013 and before that. But maybe, BMW worked out many of their issues, and it's safer to buy a 2014 to 2017 BMW 750Li? Well, today we did our best to review the 2014 BMW 750Li X Drive M Sport. We just love this vehicle overall and it's such a great highway cruiser.
This 2014 BMW 750Li review features a car with 19-inch light M Sport wheels, metallic black on full black Merino leather, Harmon Kardon sound system, heads up display, technology package, and more. One highlight of the 2014 BMW 750Li is the fact that you get all that great power from the N63 engine, but you also get decent fuel economy at an average of 20 MPG. On the highway, the 2014 BMW 750Li will get 25 miles a gallon. The 750Li just feels so good on the highway, easy to navigate, cuts the wind well, and yeah it has all the power you need.
I hope you all learn something from this 2014 BMW 750Li X Drive M Sport review. We do our best to show you vehicles we review and really help you get a POV perspective from start to finish. At the end of the day, over 3 years and 50k miles, and I'm still debating selling this vehicle. However, if you are interested, we may be able to work something out on our 2014 BMW 750Li X Drive M Sport.
Thanks again everyone for watching and for your support of the channel. It means the world to me and I hope to continue to bring you the best car content possible.

Really great video man. Very professional. Not tiring. Easy to watch. My first video from you. Very enjoyable. I had a 2012 750Li xdrive. My favorite car I ever had and that says a lot. I had Bentley continental flying spur. Terrrrrrrible car btw. The 750: kept burning out the fuel injectors, cracking rims weekly. That's about it. A dream car. Thanks again.

I got a 2014 Xdrive Li with only 17K miles on it for just under 34k a few months before this video was produced. It still smelled like a new car! Immaculate condition. I had a 2015 i model previous to this Li. It was shorter and felt a little more nimble. Definitely a very smart buy.

I traded in my 2016 S8 for the 750Li (I really wanted the 750i) but the Li was a deal I couldn't pass up! The S8, although lightning quick, did not feel very sturdy whatsoever, esp at high speeds. The difference is night and day!

Nice Vid. I own the 750i m package, bought it used in 2017 for $40k and 35k miles. My two cents: heck of a car. Keep the spark plugs changed. I didn't get my changed in timely manner and had to replace the spark plugs and coils. If your door handles (yes the handles) are not responding like they should, GET THEM FIXED!!! My passenger handle was not responding to the key fob and one cold winter morning the car was giving crazy error messages and it was because the handle (YES THE HANDLE) sensor had gone out and in turn my power steering went out, abs error message, chassis error message etc. Crazy! Wear and tear was not bad considering 7years old and 75k miles. Rear air compressor had to be replaced, spark plug coils had to be replaced, fuel injectors had to be replaced and handle (YES THE HANDLE!) had to be replaced. Not bad for a $100k MSRP Ultimate Driving Machine!

    • @Driven-Productions
      @Driven-Productions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah I think you did well. We did change the spark plugs at 100k service as was recommended. Also did the air filters, cabin air filter, and oil. We wanted to do the trans fluid but was dirty and the mechanic recommended keeping the fluid as is.

Watched this the other day and you are so spot on. Last summer I purchased a 2016 750 with the M sport packed with 36k miles - after taxes I got it fully insured for 5 years or 100k miles for $40k. Having owned a 5 series, an E class and a Range Rover that 750 puts them all to shame. The attention to detail, the driving experience and the luxury are in a league all their own and doubly so at that price. You are so spot on when you talked about putting it in sport "what more do you need." It's such a boss ride. Would be curious if you sold yours for $20k at 100k miles.

I really appreciate the 750 review. I'm looking at buying one with 77K miles, well maintained, with the M package ( although they don't make an actual M series for this model ). It seems to have all the bells and whistle. I'm in real estate so this car with rack up some miles. I do take very good care of my cars so I'm expecting to run this up to 200 K miles. I will be getting an aftermarket warranty

Beautiful car! Nice to hear you haven't had any big problems with it, contrary to almost every other TH-camr says about the BMW N63-derived V8s. Makes me tempted to try my luck with one. I do wonder if the oil consumption could be a sign of oil sneaking past the valve stem seals which were notorious for going bad/hardening in the N63 due to heat.

I rolled that dice too and bought a 2012 740i F01 ((3L twin turbo) with 60,000 miles on the clock in mint condition that drove like a dream. I’ve driven it 20,000 miles and given it 3 services. Whilst they were test driving the car, the engine seized and spun multiple rod bearings without any warning whatsoever!

I have a picture showing that when the turbo return line leaves, it goes down the head towards the firewall leaking through the oil galley drain hole. Everyone complains about Bmw and more the 750, even there are videos saying is the worst engine. I really love how drives, the power, confortable, elegant & sporty. I’m agreed about the engine, they are designed to burn oil ! Mine is leaking little bit when I put in the max level and smoke, but if I keep the right level in the middle. I don’t have any leaking and smoke. The previous owner let it go so cheap for $7,800. I believe he took it to the bmw and to fix the leaking and catalytic converter was too expensive ! And he decided to just sell it. Dealers always scare people with their prices !!! I paid 8k expecting invest around 1000-1500. I have same problem with the AC and it needs to be charged. Not big deal !.... I have just a headache trying to play music because the Bluetooth is connected but I can’t find the way to active the audio. It should not be sold more than $15,000 given the available miles on it

Listed for $21,950. It has also sold already.

@@Driven-Productions RIP to however bought it. These cars are incredibly unreliable unless you want to spend thousands of dollars on maintenance. There’s a reason why these cars depreciate rapidly and lose half their value in 2-3 years.

Yeah sounds like fairly normal stuff to me. All cars need some maintenance and upkeep even Toyota’s. Hell my Lexus LS460 at 90k miles needed some major intern service to fix an oil leak. I said nah and sold the car. Just saying even the Toyota’s of the world have problems, and I would rather drive a 750 twin turbo V8 everyday and twice on Sunday’s.

@@Driven-Productions people always think Toyotas are exceptionally reliable. Not always, my friend's Toyota died on the highway and ended costing him 3k for timing chain repair and $400 tune up at the dealer few weeks latet. And yes its a simple camry, 2011 yr. I was literally shocked with 140k!!!

@@nature10879 yep 👍 spot on. Now Honda’s of the 90’s and Early 2000’s where about as good as it gets.
