    One thing I will say is that the design has aged rather well. Much better than the Bangle era stuff. Wouldn't it have been surprised if you said it was just a year or two old.

      Ahhah) but the tech in this car still holding up really well! Despite its age, it’s still nice.

      @@Makhnovets Agreed. A lot of current mainstream cars are just catching up with the level of tech.

      i quite like the e65 😂, doesnt look as good as an f01 but it’s still very cool with the correct ride height and rims

      one of my first BMWs was an e38 740iL, or I had it for a year.
      Great car! only one thing like you said, you got to keep it in stock!!! I can agree to some of the BMWs look nice but not nicer with some aftermarket parts, but not the bimmers that made history!

    I have the same car . Just change the oil every 3500 miles . New spark plugs and coils is necessary so make sure it’s all done .

      You are definitely not wrong here, Preventive maintenance is the key, and for turbo engines with some advance tech like VANOS system that rely on Oil, it's crucial to do oil change sooner than later!

      I would do it every 40,000 miles for both. Just my opinion .
      My has gone 136,000 miles . The only issue now is the timing chain . Needs to be replaced .

    I was looking to buy one with 130k miles the suspension in the back dropped what are your thoughts should I buy it or just let it go

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If the suspension is the only problem, I would say yes, this video shows pretty well on how to replace the air suspension:
      th-cam.com/video/MVmeB-wybnQ/w-d-xo.html
      All though make sure to scan the car and check for the oil leaks.
      Personally I suggest you to do the ppi. Spend $1-200, and getting most of the problems upfront, in that case you know what you are dealing with.

    I found an ActiveHybrid N63 that’s a really good price(10k), ofcourse Id rather have any BMW I6 cuz i am familiar with them. but the v8 is too tempting what do u think?

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on the condition, look from mechanical side first. the V8 is more fun and it's somewhat reliable if it had a good care, the biggest downside is mpg. if you don't care about that, go for v8, if not ready for premium go for hybrid! Sorry for late responce!

    Please give me some comments on 730li 2015 is it good or the same like the 750i

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My friend loves the Li, for the reason he have two kids, and extra room leg with a car seat is the best.
      I’m single, and would go for car experience which is non Li.
      As for the engine, I wouldn’t care much as you pay for the comfort ride, for me would be better to have more option.
      But 730i have an n52, which is great engine but extra 100hp would be better.
      So preferably 740 2012+ n55, or 750 model.
      Personally I would go for 750i. Usually will have majority of good options as well.

    i fucking hate my 2013 750i m package been sitting in my drive way for about 9 months now, too much random shit going on with it to list and all the work ive put into it still hasn't gotten it to run properly. its either leaking injectors which i will be replacing and if that still doesnt do it then its a leaking head gasket which makes it more fucked than fucked.

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this kit is really nice for testing the engine fumes in the coolant, otherwise to say the head gasket leak test: amzn.to/43xAkyq , as for the injectors it's really common problem, direct injectors from BMW are suck, only revision 12 is proven to be reliable. simple test, is to run the engine for couple min, then shut it down, let it seat for 5 min and remove the spark plugs and see if they wet or smells like gasoline.
      Yeah, the BMW's are suck badly! but we still love them

    • @jrpcoins
      @jrpcoins ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Makhnovets yes very true and I'm hoping it's a valve cover gasket and not a head gasket leak but I think the valve cover will be more the cause because there was a bit of fuel/oil on the spark plug , it's a lot cheaper to fix a valve cover gasket than the head gasket on the n63 engine

    would it be worth it go get a 2013 750i with 60k miles? or should I just not even bother.

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So overall it’s a good engine, if there no oil leaks and everything works fine, and 60k miles is a low mileage for sure, the one thing that probably going to go down it’s a electric water pump, but besides that it should be pretty solid till 100-120k mi.
      I wouldn’t be too concerned at this mileage, as long as the price is good!

    I called a BMW specialist that was highly recommended online and some personal friends. I asked if I should buy one and he told me "Please lose my number if you get that". He actually explained why and I did some more digging from other BMW mechanics and they basically said the same. He even added "If you can't afford a New BMW, don't buy a used 7 series BMW".

      I just bought a 2011 Li x-drive- with 39k miles - 13 years old. Looks bran new, no issues with the car. How long should I drive it before I get rid of it before problems typically occur?

  • @menotyou7762
    @menotyou7762 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    most issue and bad reps come from pre 2015 models. Up to 2014 maybe its a 50/50 thing, After this when you get the N63TU engine most stuff should be ok. Keep in min what problems you have on any 9 to 10 year old car. I mean a Ford at 10 years is kind of basicly toast.
