When the business chooses purpose in their product rather than profitability, it changes lives. All the best Rhea.

Rhea, this is a brilliant idea. I am a Southern African student studying architecture thinking of implementing a similar concept to solve this problem. My continent faces the same challenges from countries such as Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.

Wonderful ideas in solving housing problems in the lower economic segments of global urban areas!

I get it that she's trying but I feel that this isn't quite solving the crisis as the title states. I do sustainable green projects myself and the hurdle to keep a project worthy of the a 'sustainable green' label is often rather tricky especially with high implementation costs; design, materials and energy conversion efficiency issues. The technology is here but implementing it to be replicable and cost friendly strictly depends on government willingness to aid. Real estate development is no where near being a charitable endeavour to aid the urban poor.

I’m sure you know the government gives tax credits to help developers affordable projects be profitable by helping with funding. You can build affordable apartments with SIP construction and keep it extremely energy efficient. The only reason people haven’t built with this is because they don’t know about using mgo boards to make sand which panels with polyurethane insulation. It’s a perfect combination and are fireproof waterproof mold proof impact & hurricane resistant. We are working on it and we believe we really have a solution for green affordable housing to help people. By providing enough affordable housing for the urban poor it can greatly eliminate a lot of poverty and allow them to stay in the city to move upward financially

@@julioochoa8444 why can't it be in rural areas too? There's a lot of unused land which people in those areas need housing too.

Her model will not work for long term housing. Living in tight accommodations is unsanitary and not good for emotional sanity. Before she speaks so highly of her plans she should test out such ideas for herself.
