I just love hearing about positive pregnancy experiences! I always been SO SCARED about pregnancy that it was almost anticlimactic when I had a super light experience being pregnant. I was just always expecting things to suddenly be hard and scary. It really took away a little bit of the joy of being fine for the majority of the time. Congrats on your baby! So exciting 😍
Oh me too! You hear so much more about the negative experiences but many pregnancies are just... Very doable? I expect (/hope) labour & delivery will be much the same, haha!
@@Loepsie that’s why I wanted you to know that even with what I think was placenta previa and losing a lot of blood, by the time I arrived at the hospital everything was fine and I had the baby the next day within an hour. I was so sad when we decided we were done having more kids. Every time the baby grew out of her tiny sleepers, or a cute onesie I would feel like she was our last child and she was growing up too fast. I wanted her to stay little a while longer. No one knows how their pregnancy or birth goes and so much is out of your control. Concentrating on the positive stories and enjoying them goes a long way toward easing your anxieties
What a blessing! You're a gorgeous pregnant mother! I'm almost 30 and I've had 6 babies (5 boys). I'm thoroughly enjoying hearing about your pregnancy! I always love being pregnant even when it's hard. Praying for you to have a smooth 3rd trimester and birth!
My kids (4 daughters) are all in their 50’s and my oldest has 3 grandchildren of her own (making me a great grandmother. The way you are experiencing pregnancy is very like the way I felt. Only a little bit of sleepiness in the first trimester and a bit of heartburn near the end. But I was always energetic and I was so efficient during the time I was pregnant that I got a lot done. One day my sister and my cousin came to pick me up near the end of my first pregnancy. I got into the car and they were both laughing and thinking it must be t my expense I asked “What is so funny” They said they were laughing at me skipping down the stairs at almost 9 months pregnant. They said the had to crawl up and downstairs at that point. I will mention that I did have a little bit of a complication that probably would be handled differently now. I woke up in my last week of my pregnancy with a feeling that I’d wet the bed thinking yay my water had broken. I got out of bed and looked and it was a lot of blood. I mean a great pool in the middle of my bed. I went to the bathroom and blood was coming down my legs with large clots all the way there. We rushed to the hospital (nowadays I would have just called an ambulance) and I was admitted to the labour and delivery area. They kept checking the fetal heart rate and all the normal things (no ultrasounds back then - I did have an X-ray) and since the bleeding had completely stopped once I got there so they said in the morning they would induce me. Nowadays I would say that I had placenta Previa but they never said so. The next day at noon they broke my water at noon and at about 5 minutes to 1 I said I had to push and she said “no sweetheart it will be a long time before that happens” but she checked and said oh my and ran with me on the stretcher to the delivery room and she was born about 5 minutes later. They explained that what happened with the bleeding “sometimes happens” and if the bleeding stops it’s safe to just wait it out or induce labour. It was totally fine I had the most beautiful baby girl I’d ever seen. I had 3 more pregnancies after that and all were born after a “cannon ball” delivery of 1 hour or less so each time they induced labour in the hospital because they didn’t want me to have the baby at home without medical assistance. No home births at that time. So even with what I felt was a little blip with the bleeding and the scary trip to the hospital, everyone was fine and I never had a problem with any later pregnancy.
By the end of both my pregnancies I was so huge that my husband often had to help me get undressed at the end of the day. Bending over to deal with shoes, socks, or pants would leave me hilariously out of breath. I’ve got two sons and being a boy mom is a BLAST! I adore my little chaps. So so so excited for you!!
My first child was so big she did not drop into my pelvis so basically dilation and effacing were never going to happen. I had a planned cesarean; because of when and where a vbac for my second child was out of the question. She was also born by cesarean. I can honestly tell you the worst thing about it is the weirdos on the internet who tell me I'm not, nor have I ever been, a mother because I didn't give birth.
you did give birth! you are amazing. people are crazy tho! no matter how your child is born it is beautiful and hard and wonderful and scary and all the things!
Right! What kind of mother would I have been to insist on the impossible and let my baby die in utero and then die myself? What about the mothers of adopted children? What about stepmothers and foster mothers? There is more than one type of birth and more ways than that to be a mother, or a father while we’re at it.
Of crouse you're a mother you've carried a babies and are now rasising them. I unfortunately lost my baby at 14 weeks pregnant. (I would be 24 weeks as I'm writing this) We are both mothers!
The fear hit me as soon as I started pushing with my first 😅 like, im about to be responsible for a whole human?! But it quickly faded as soon as I held her. Youre doing great momma, so excited!
I feel scared about being responsible for a whole human, but at the same time, I get scared thinking of anyone else taking care of him. Mom brains are wild lol.
You're beautiful! Don't worry about getting bigger; the baby is growing by the minute and all that length has to go somewhere which is outward. Also, all the exercise you get will help your body snap right back because your muscles are so toned. I am so happy for you and Robert this is such a wonderful time in your lives. When you're ready, sometime in the distant future, we will be here for the sewing projects for baby! 🤗💗💗💗🧸
You seem happier than ever! I'm so glad it's going so well for you! And yes! I was noticing how beautiful your hair was looking! A blessing in all ways!
I'm absolutely NOT a doctor and of course don't know your medical specifics so am certainly not out here trying to diagnose a stranger, but hearing about your past PMS symptoms makes me think about PMDD. I just wanted to mention it because it's not widely talked about and just in the off chance it might be helpful to you to look into. Congrats on the smooth sailing so far, and best of luck with trimester three!
I also did Fitness during my pregnancies and let me tell you it helped me during labor so much, I had my babies natural without any drugs and the “training” helped with endurance and stamina. If I didn’t do fitness classes during my pregnancies I know I wouldn’t have endured the way I did. Good Luck to you, you are looking amazing!
So excited for you! I just entered my second trimester last week and, while first trimester could have been a lot worse, I immediately feel a million times better. I'm getting the energy and don't feel sick anymore 🥰 Lovely to hear of someone else enjoying it too. xox
Oh, the "is it gas or is it the baby moving" is sooo relatable 😂 I had no clue until week 24, and that evening my husband and I were both able to feel our baby. That was a wonderful moment! I am quite short and had a comparatively big belly, particularly by the end. There were in fact people asking me if I were carrying twins 🤦 In the end, it was just a relatively big baby and a big placenta. And 5 extra kilos, I have to admit 😉
OH MY GOSH ❤ I had no idea you were pregnant! I'm also in my 2nd trimester, 16 weeks! Seeing you on the same journey as I am makes me feel so good. You're doing amazing! ☺️
I am so happy you are sharing your journey with us all. I remember you saying before you were pregnant that it was scary to think about having kids. These videos show that it is possible and when you prepare you can feel really good while you create a life. Keep going mama! You are amazing!
You look so good and so beautiful, I couldn't stop looking on how your hair is so gorgeous and shiny! Yeah.. it's not so fun when you start to get more bigger size clothes, but there are some really good styles out there! But no matter what whether you're pregnant or not, you are always beutfil inside and our because you have a good heart and a beautifully creative mind! I'm sorry you've gone through so much, but know that you are loved and cared for! Wishing you nd you family happy and healthy!
I'm so excited for you to get started on this stage of your life, my son is just about to get his driver's license and it's got me so crazy nostalgic for when he was little and thinking about my parents when I was that age and.. just lots of feelings. My pregnancy was incredibly uneventful and I can attest to the same hair and nails benefits. If it's helpful, my hair and nails never returned to their pre-pregnancy weaker state. My ponytail is literally twice as thick as it used to be and I can't just peel my fingernails off to trim them anymore 🤣😬😬
Public Service Announcement! Our guts/tummies are supposed to be a wonderful garden of good bacteria. This garden starts with what we get from our mothers when we come through the birth canal. This good bacteria helps our guts/tummies to heal up so that only the nutrients from the food we eat gets into our system. If the larger particles of food enter, our immune systems attack them and make us allergic to them. If you have to get a C-section make sure the doctor knows to take some of that good bacteria and rub it on the baby's face; it will have the same effect as if the child came through the birth canal and the child will be healthier.
Congratulations, I hope you continue to feel so well. I was really impressed with your previous decluttering. Good for you! Looks like you and Robert are ready for your son's arrival.
My friend's placenta was so low for much of her pregnancy that she was ordered to stay in bed for weeks. And then it moved a bit higher and she was able to deliver vaginally 😊 You'll be alright! I deeply believe it! You're doing a wonderful thing training your body 💪🏻 I hope you'll have an amazing birth experience!
It's so lovely to see you so happy and carefree!! Happy, healthy baby and easy birthing wishes to you! No matter how the delivery goes, you and baby are in good hands and all shall be well 👩🍼💞🙏
I love hearing about your pregnancy! It sounds pretty similar to mine, I also felt amazing the entire time. I’m now watching this while nursing my 4 month old little boy and I’m just so excited for you to get to experience this whole journey as well!
You are absolutely glowing.😊 What a joy to listen to you and remember having my own daughters nearly 40 years ago. You are at your strongest, most creative, most womanly and you and your husband have not just a beautiful physical home for your child but, also, a warm, loving and positive structure of your hearts to raise baby in. Always remember, you and hubby keep one another strong and first and, together, support your little one. Always let your child see you both together as a strong, sheltering protective wall. So, so happy for you both.❤
I’ve watched your channel since 2014 and I always really loved your tea time videos , you’ve always been so helpful through the years , I love how you explain things and your overall content , it’s such a beautiful thing to see you becoming a mother , hope all is well girly 🤍
Hoi, mijn man hielp mij met mijn zelfbeeld. Veel complimentjes over hoe mooi je bent! Luister, gewoon luisteren en diep inademen en negativiteit loslaten. Je kan het! Je bent prachtig zo zwanger!❤
Your so lucky to have it easy. I was sick 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just like my mom was with me. And after having one, well I was done. I had to have a C-section, as well.Tubes tied right after delivery. But then I was 39, giving birth to my first. And he was beautiful, looking just like his me as a newborn. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes just as well. The end part of mine, I was covered in an itchy rash. Doctors said I was allergic to the part that was my husband...that blew my mind.😉
I am sooooooo happy for you!!! I definitely want to warn you that the postpartum hair loss is intense… like it almost feels like you’re going to go bald, it comes out so fast once it hits! BUT the clumps of hair look worse than it actually is, and everything will be okay. ❤️
You are glowing ✨😍. Honestly I have not wanted to watch your videos because I thought I will have even worse babyfever but I couldn't stop myself from watching anymore 😂. So here I am. And yes I have worse babyfever 😂😂. I'm waiting for my graduation from uni and getting a job first before thinking of babies.
I am so happy for you.You look fabulous. I was wondering if you have heard of elimination communication (EC) before. Wen did this with our daughter and it was game changing.
Currently pregnant for the first time, entering my second trimester. We learned a few weeks ago we were also having a boy and I felt the same as you 😂 I didn't really care about the baby's sex, but we had THE PERFECT girl name (also saving for a possible future sister) and we still don't have the right boy name, still have to give it a thought! And also about sewing clothes, I was also like...mmmm I'm going through a ruffle and extra feminine era and I was like....now what? but I've been getting inspo for boy and I'M LOVING what I'm seeing!. And the breast part...I can't believe they keep growing 😭they are already super uncomfortable even with good-fitting bras! Good luck with the final part! 💛💛💛
Thank you for sharing. Your happiness is contagious. Best wished for a wonderful third trimester. Instead of Mommy and Me outfits, you can sew Daddy and Me: shirts, vests, hoodies &/or knit the two guys in your family matching sweaters, hats, scarves and gloves. Since you’re planning an enchanted forest theme, will you be getting Baby any Danish, Good Luck, Dam (aka Norfin) Trolls?
Ok so if you get severe PMS; be really aware of the signs for postpartum depression. If you have any intrusive thoughts or feel despair after the birth... tell your maternity provider and access mental health treatment! Knowing ahead of time can save you some terrible experiences. ❤❤❤
The vitamins you take is helping with the hair and nails. Try not to expect your body to snap back to the old shape and size. It giving you an incredible gift.
Aw I so love hearing all that's going on. ❤️ Second trimester is the best. I loved being pregnant and feeling the baby moving around. 😊 Also....others "things" were way more fun in the 2nd trimester too!! 😉 If you catch my drift. So happy for you and so so glad to hear you are such good spirits and your mindset is superb. You will be a great mom, so excited for you! :)
I bet that how you are feeling is what it's like to be on the other side of menopause. For over a year I've had premenstrual dysphoric disorder so menopause can't come soon enough for me.
Second trimester (but the beginning) YES breast they are grown, and I am only at the beginning of second trimester, like I will feed the army and not the one child. And I dont like big breast on me at all :( my husband on the other side ... :D. But I am telling myself after all is done everything will be back at normal size (at least I hope) :D
Fun fact, most peoples feet “grow” because they lose their arches and their feet become more flat I started off with horribly flat feet so I had no arch to lose and no length to gain! I bought a really nice pair of size 9 shoes in hopes I would fit them one day but alas I am still a size 8 (Canadian) pre birth and post birth
I had a home birth with my first (midwife/water birth/laughing gas combo) and will again with my second this summer! I hope you can be granted that experience as well but even if the previa prevents that you are still an amazing champ! And I wish you a peaceful recovery
Excited for you! Haha same, when I imagined having a girl, doing hair, sewing clothes. But, I love love love having a boy. He's been so easy and it's been great, especially in the tween and teen years. He's 13 now, and being a boy mom is the best and I love it so much! My feet swelled with fluid in 3rd trimester, but didn't grow after pregnancy. I was a U.S. size 5 before pregnancy, and still am many years later. Also, I have naturally curly hair and my hair did not change at all during pregnancy or after. I had zero post partum hair loss. I did not get bigger after preganacy either. I am the same size in clothes and most measurements as before pregnancy. My chest went down back to my usual size when I was done breastfeeding. In sewing, my hip measurement increased by one inch, waist and bust stayed the same. So, all of those changes aren't inevitable. I eat healthy and am very active, that helps a lot. I think a lot is genetic too. My sister and I both took after our mom in both pregnancy and post-pregnancy. I often looked to my mom to guess how I would be during and after pregnancy, and was almost identical to her!
I also have a low-lying placenta but my medical provider decided to put me on bed rest as a precaution with monthly scans so hearing that you are still exercising with a low-lying placenta is kinda shocking.
If it is the pms that throws such a spanner in your mental health maybe consider using hormonal birth control after baby is weaned? Mental health is important and as far as I know you can go of it whitout much of a consequence when/if you want a second child.
If you are interested in natural hair care I highly reccomend Katherine Sewing's youtube channel. She is a mother of five, and has dealt with all kinds of hair challenges dues to pregnancy and other things. But her hair is sooooo beautiful. What I have learned from her has SAVED my hair!
I had an emergency c-section alone (husband was getting vaccinated, it wasn't his fault) and honestly? Now that I'm 3 years past it I feel like it wasn't that bad. I had secretly wanted a C-section anyway so it was kind of a relief. 4/10
I can't stop thinking about the old wives' tale that says your body and mind will benefit from carrying a boy, while being pregnant with a girl draws all beauty from you and make you feel miserable, bloated and sick!!
Matching father son shirts would be a cute crafting idea!! If they’ll wear them of course haha!

I had placenta previa with my son who was born last year, and it resolved just in the nick of time! I'm sure yours will too!
(I didn't know about the "sweet wait") congratulations to everyone.
Best wishes, slds.
Aw Lucy ❤
6:21 First time pregnant parents often mistake the early fetal movement for gas! 😂
Ok so if you get severe PMS; be really aware of the signs for postpartum depression. If you have any intrusive thoughts or feel despair after the birth... tell your maternity provider and access mental health treatment! Knowing ahead of time can save you some terrible experiences. ❤❤❤
Also be ready for postpartum hair loss! ❤
Oh, you’ll definitely love having a boy just like I do!
The vitamins you take is helping with the hair and nails. Try not to expect your body to snap back to the old shape and size. It giving you an incredible gift.
A good bra is the best!! Lol, and if no one else has shared this, post birth boobs are something to behold. 😂 Its amazing how our bodies change.
Is so beautiful, i am so happy for you❤
Do your medical help teach lactation preparation?
Yes! There are also free courses I can follow, and my health insurance covers help from a lactation expert 😊
The post part um hair loss will grow back, at least it did on me. So maybe not a thing to worry about too much. 😊
To new moms, when do you buy nursing bras? I’m 32 weeks and still no idea if I should still wait lol😅
Fun fact, most peoples feet “grow” because they lose their arches and their feet become more flat
I started off with horribly flat feet so I had no arch to lose and no length to gain!
I was the size of a house with all my babies lol don’t worry you look beautiful
I also have a low-lying placenta but my medical provider decided to put me on bed rest as a precaution with monthly scans so hearing that you are still exercising with a low-lying placenta is kinda shocking.
Yours is probably much more severe than mine, then! There was no reason for me to go on bed rest or make any lifestyle adjustments :)
No hablo inglés por eso te mando figuras
If it is the pms that throws such a spanner in your mental health maybe consider using hormonal birth control after baby is weaned? Mental health is important and as far as I know you can go of it whitout much of a consequence when/if you want a second child.
❤
You look great! 😀

I lost loads of hair afterwards lol
So talk about growing..... my nose lawd have mercy it got sooo wide. It was horrible. I would have taken the feet growing over my nose! Lol😅😂😅😂😊
❤❤👶👶👶🍼🫂💕
I can't stop thinking about the old wives' tale that says your body and mind will benefit from carrying a boy, while being pregnant with a girl draws all beauty from you and make you feel miserable, bloated and sick!!
Also felt better when pregnant 💕 I'm guessing it's a girl💕
I just saw it's a boy 😊
