Cooking is an art form with lots of room for creativity. Baking is a science. Everything in the correct proportions and if not it goes boom. Also, if you use the same mug to measure all the cup measures it usually works out. That how my great grandma measured for cooking and baking.
Food vlogs are some of the best kind of vlogs here anyway, and no matter if they are from the vegetarian or vegan phase - they never cease to inspire. the chai pear pies seems definitely worth a try. I personally love to bake, and I rarely follow exact instructions there, i almost always eye measure ... at least when it's not sth. super complicated.
So I'm from California and we're extremely spoiled will our variety of veggies and fruit, it's crazy what we grow there, lol. Anyways, I live in France now, and if I'm having trouble finding some produce I'd normally think was normal back home but isn't here in France, I sometimes go to the Asian or Turkish or Africain supermarkets and more often than not they have it.
Such a wholesome video The way you cook is very similar to Indian cooking especially with all the spices. Want more cooking videos. And by the way you look beautiful 😍
Love your "what I eat in a day " videos. You're a natural and this was very fun and festive, you cook from the heart so its okay you're not a great baker most of us aren't its like an exact science like chemistry. But love for what your'e creating sewing or making is always most important. Happy Holidays!
Loved the video so much! The recepies looked good, and I want to see the end result sooooo bad 😅 Maybe you posted on the Instagram and I missed) Lots of love)
But how many leeks go into 250ml? 😂 I'm used to a recipe telling me to use 2 medium sized leeks, so I know how much to buy. We usually only have measurements that precise in baking recipes, not cooking recipes 😅
Vegan desserts? I know a good mousse au chocolat: 400g silken tofu, 200g dark chocolate and 2soupspoons sugar (or vanilla sugar) melt chocolate and put it in the stirred tofu and sugar and stir more with the mixer. And then 2h in the fridge. I got a lot of compliments for that from non vegans as well. Another one (preportioned): crumpled dark, heavy, malty bread (Pumpernickel or Schwarzbrot black bread in German), sometimes infused with rum (though not in your case, obviously, or maybe one could try something else?) red berry pudding and (vegan) clotted cream all layered in a glass. Called Mecklenburger rote Grütze (where I come from)
This was such a relaxing vlog! That shepherd's pie looked so good, I think I'll try making it myself! Where did you get that apron? I'm in love with the cute little animals!!
The little tray for vitamins etc is so smart!! I am going to use that idea for myself! I just can't bring myself to put pills on the counter, even if I KNOW it's clean 😅 also cherry and chocolate is a huge craving for me as well, but also apples and peanut butter!! I like yogurt with granola and raisins, I've eaten it religiously every morning, so gooood! Definitely being hungry so much all day was hard getting used to! My autism makes it hard to read body signals, but I have learned how hungry I am all day long 😂
There is no one way to make spiced tea. If you make it, it’s authentically spiced tea. I live in Saudi, and I have traveled Pakistan, and I think that the defining flavor is cardamom. Put cardamom in anything and it is spectacular. Milky black tea with cardamom is simple and perfect and ubiquitous here in the ME. Highly recommended! I will definitely try your shepherds pie recipe .
We still get our groceries delivered once a week! That's why I only bought ingredients for the dinner 😊 I didn't figure out what I wanted to make until the day before so I didn't include the ingredients in my order. I only really ever go to the grocery store when prepping for a special occasion and I wouldn't have it any other way 😁 Saves so much time and hassle!
Your hair is getting so long again, it looks really nice. It always has but I just remember when you talked about how much you love long hair. The oatmeal with the cacao and cherries must taste really good.
I wish you did more cooking videos ❤️ Your enthusiasm makes me excited and inspired to get creative in the kitchen too!

You are the only Dutch TH-camr I watch and it’s SO handy to see cooking content with Dutch groceries because then I know exactly what to get!
Ik woon in het buitenland en vind het gewoon gezellig om die Nederlandse verpakkingen te zien. 🤭

I'm watching this video while cooking lentils for vegan Shepard's pie 😂
I'm looking forward to yours!
American here. Our cup is equal to 250 ml. I like to cook, so I have had to make this conversion a lot.

Also I feel your "1 cup" pain 🥲 tbh, we don't know either.
You can just use a saucer
Sweetie maybe next time take pictures of finished dishes that would be marvelous 🎉

I'm pregnant too and finding teas with safe ingredients is hard sometimes especially when you crave a specific taste...
I remember you used to get groceries delivered when you were in the city. Is delivery not an option at your new place? How is the change for you?

I'm not a vegetarian, but everything looked so delicious.
A cook who doesn't taste test their food probably isn't a good cook, haha
