Awesome work, Edson! Watching your build come together is inspiring-loving the dedication and precision you're putting into this forged engine. Huge thanks for the shoutout to MACE cams; we're stoked to be part of such an epic project! Liked and subscribed to follow the journey!
Yo E this shit is amazing no this the type of shit I be wanting to see yes teach me step by step amazing bro your my teacher now smfh thanks for the video we need more please
I reused the cams valve springs and retainers, I was running a stroked 2.8 so I reused the same rods as well. I also could of used the crank because I was already running a 3.6 crank but I didn’t
You know how much horsepower the original pistons will withstand? Almost all failuers Iv'e seen on the LP9 engine has been rods through the block, not sure if there is a general "level" for how much the pistons will withstand?
@@willelidl I don’t know the limit but I think I’m going to try and push them to about 800 Keeping timing conservative and the AFR’s on the richer side
bro I drop everything i'm doing soon as i get a notifiCation from your CHANNEL!!! FACTS
Appreciate it man! Truly

You can make it fairly affordable these gm engines parts are really accessible and cheap
Good stuff. Getting me pumped. The young boys also enjoyed it calling out engine parts while the video is playing
The young’s ones know they have to put together the next one right 😂
@Edson-Pouchie that's a fact. Got a 09 motor their going to take apart. For fun before the real deal lol

Your rebuilding the 3.6 what parts did you use from the 2.8 engine, camshafts, what else❓
I reused the cams valve springs and retainers, I was running a stroked 2.8 so I reused the same rods as well. I also could of used the crank because I was already running a 3.6 crank but I didn’t
What are you doing when you tap the cylinder with the mallet over the big holes 🕳 in the engine?
Putting the pistons into the engine block, the rings are compressed until they are in the engine
You know how much horsepower the original pistons will withstand? Almost all failuers Iv'e seen on the LP9 engine has been rods through the block, not sure if there is a general "level" for how much the pistons will withstand?

@@Edson-Pouchie Oh, they look that beefy? It's gonna be interesting.. :)
Did you not look into boring out your 2.8 motor?
No, I just bought a 3.6 it’s identical
@Edson-Pouchie ah great, I have a spare 2.8 that I'm looking into boring out. Great work 👌
@@insigniamodified you can stroke it as well I’ve done that before
