This is a LY7 correct ? Awesome build man!
Yep!! Ly7 it is ❤
@Edson-Pouchie Subbed up ill live vicariously through you until i get time for mine lol.
@ a camaro guy! I got kicked out rhe Facebook group for saying I made 700 hp they didn’t even give me a chance to post the dyno 😂😂😂
@@Edson-Pouchie come on back man that admin got demoted.. If your referring to the 5th and 6th gen v6 performance group. I am an admin on that page even though no on has the LY7 still alot of good carryover information for LLT. Whats your facebook handle ?
@ Malikijah Duvall that’s the group I’m referring to yes
Did you use stock main bolts? Or did you use some performance ones and have the machine shop hone it to fix bearing clearance stuff?
They polished the crank and then set all the clearances for the rod and main bearings- I used stock main bolts in the next block I’m going to try and get arp main bolts made
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 that motor sounds godly bruv
@@datdamnjeep3960 dat damn jeep is food
@Edson-Pouchie 😈 we'll see
Should of had out out on the road really to bed the rings in no load on the engine just sat at 2000rpm
If you ask 20 engine builders how to break in an engine you’ll get 20 different answers
inspiring, love to know more about the driveline and how the haldex is holding up.
So I have the haldex wired to “ On/OFF” above a tps percentage and It’s 100% or 0 the lack of slipping is probably helping it live longer
Good stuff :) Hope you hit that 1k and then some soon! 782 here!
Getting there! Not much longer now
This build looks dope. I sub'd immediately 😅 I'll go back and check out old vids but looking forward to seeing this running. Always had a thing for Saabs.
Sick!!!!! I appreciate that 😎 welcome to the family
I need to pull my finger out. Need to get my V6 Mid engine RWD on the go. Only at the adaptor plate point. Will probably just make it 2.8. Then when its doing a thing, upgrade to the 3.6 in the future, as it should be a straight swap. Yeah boi!
There’s another guy doing a build like that what car are you putting it in?
@@Edson-Pouchie That guy is probably me. 2005 9-3 Aero. Over in the UK. Was looking for a way to get in contact properly with you.
@ instagram is the best way Edson_pouchie
💯 We love to see it!
And I have a lot more to show 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Hi man, greetings from Europe (Slovakia). I drive an Opel Insignia OPC (Buick Regal GS) with the same engine and your projects are very interesting. I look forward to new videos.!
Slovakia in the house !!! 😂😂😂 I think I’m going to grab a transfer case from a Buick to fix mine this week. Thanks for watching we have a bunch more to do
Pure music!! 👏🏻🗿
😍
Amazing work
Thanks man!! Next up we take it on a voyage
@Edson-Pouchie hopefully you're coming out to an soc this year?
@ soc and carsile this year

Sounded damn good! Cant wait for you to enjoy it out there!
@@MrMckenzie2403 coming sooon! We waste no time
@Edson-Pouchie that's a fact! Lol
GAZA!
just curious do you have a full list of all the parts and modifications you have done to the car?
@3Matt320 I’m going to have to do one of those- I think I’ll write that on my white board
Bane is back! I can't wait to see wait it do... whomever said that turbo is to big knows nothing about engines js😂
@@kingmeshech5527 you’ll be suprised bro
Hey, Eddie do you think this can be done to the top mount on the passenger side?
It’s possible to fill them in not sure how much it would help
Could you have added shittier music
SAAB POWER!!! Cant wait!!!

Forged pistons will be crazy
Coming soon!
Damn those rod bearings are COOKED
Who you telling 😂 the good news is it was the cylinders that had the garbage injectors
are you just going to drill a hole and weld a bung to the oil pan for turbo oil drain?
Yep already done
Wow, this is amazing
Can you share the pin out for the coils
Message me on Instagram or Facebook Ig: Edson_pouchie Fb: Malikijah Duvall
Been slacking on youtube. Good stuff. Nice info for the future if needed for the dailys
Seriously watching this bud, I have insignia vxr and thinking of doing this my car
I just can’t see a reason not to, esp in the states I know your not! But there’s probably 10000X more 3.6 in the junkyard alone
Coming together nicely
Audi red coils?
Yep! Way better spark for the us Saab owners
Can you build an engine for my Prius?
😂😂😂
🔥❤️ Can't wait to see results
So in your opinion would the 3m be a better option if making significantly less hp How bad were the vibrations with 3m
because of how well the poly bonded to the mount I would in the future almost always go with the poly I would probably go with something close to 60 for a daily driver. The 3m Had a soft feel to touch almost like the stock rubber in the mounts I didn’t notice much of any vibration but did notice a lot less engine travel on revs. So if your just trying to support a stock mount that would be a great place to start
Cant wait to see this fired up! Tremendous amount of work, and thanks for taking us along!!!
Great pull!!!
Ummmmm I will buy new mounts and then do this to them so that they're ready for me when I need them😅
You mount are fresh
Good ish, need this on all my Saabs lol
Do ettttt
Nice! I’ve got a set curing now 🤘
@@littledaviso what density did you go with?
@@Edson-Pouchiehmm it’s not listed but it was a windshield polyurethane seal kit. Right now it’s about the same density as the oe mount, just filled ‘er in
Nice work! I did the same thing with 3m windshield urethane sealant, it is stiffer, but still absorbs the bumps of the road. Wish i had done it your way…the color is awesome!
I seen this stuff on another TH-cam channel, I was looking for the hardest stuff I can find this is 94A bone density is around 90. It might rattle my brain out 😂😂😂
@edson-pouchie 🤣 i can only imagine considering i get a ton more vibration with the shit i picked. Good luck 🤞! You will get the results for stability you seek tho.
@SolvingSaab luckily it’s not a daily driver lmao.
Only reason I don't want to make the switch is due to the streets being so crappy. You feel every bump and vibration so I've read countless times. How did you like the upgrade for yourself?
@@joshrawks21 I just did this yesterday I haven’t had a chance to try it out. There’s different levels of density tho
3582? or 71
This was over a decade ago but I think it was a 3584
@Edson-Pouchie well that's good news because I just bought a 3582r for mine. DBB
Awesome work, Edson! Watching your build come together is inspiring-loving the dedication and precision you're putting into this forged engine. Huge thanks for the shoutout to MACE cams; we're stoked to be part of such an epic project! Liked and subscribed to follow the journey!
Thanks for watching let’s make some power
🔥🔥🔥 very informative
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it
What are you doing when you tap the cylinder with the mallet over the big holes 🕳 in the engine?
Putting the pistons into the engine block, the rings are compressed until they are in the engine

Nice to see a tutorial on these motors - appreciate the vid 👌🏻
