As far as the weight. I shot a Pa bear in December that was estimated at 444 lbs. Est. live that was tranquelized and weighed in June at 376. Home the CD's help, we can't bait in PA. Get em
Hey Bernie, just a quick comment about color phased bears in eastern pa. You said they are all black but i can say that here in Pa and in New Brunswick where i bear hunt we do get an occasional cinnamon bear although the percentage of cinnamon to black is very low. I'm hunting over 60 years here in Pa and never saw a cinnamon and i don't think any of my friends have either , but, some are shot here every year. You ARE The Bear Professor ! Keep those videos coming !

I've used a barrel for 3 years and never had a big bear come to it over 225lbs and on camera. so, I went back to baiting on the ground and the bigger bear come to it better. I'm thinking of trying a barrel this year but scared to, I have 2 over 300lbs plus for over 6 years. I don't know if they are scared of the barrel or what. could they be?

I’m from Superior, WI, do you notice that oaks have a good crop at the very end of a drought like we had last year.
