When I visit Las Vegas, Luxor is my home away from home! I spend most of my time on the south strip, and I have not been disappointed in any of my stays at Luxor.
I've stayed at Luxor and Excalibur both were good and they both have everything that you need to do in your stay . I can be satisfied at any hotel in Vegas I don't need fancy frills and amenities most of the hotels are very good and comfortable that's my take.
Great review ! I just got back from a stay at a Premier Pyramid room. I can vouch for the very high and soothing water pressure in the shower. They cleaned our room every day without my calling and asking, and we had a refrigerator which was nice and not the norm. Diablo's is a great restaurant with great service and reasonable prices. I am going back during Labor Day week, 5 nights for $290 total taxes and fees, which is a steal. I did get two comp nights from MGM Rewards. I am not a huge gambler but I always use my card in the slots and I am amazed how well MGM comps me for rooms. They want you back !

I have stayed at Luxor a few times, never have stayed in the pyramid rooms… I have always stayed in the Tower one room king suites, I highly recommend those. Also the Tower is quieter and it has its own entrance and exit on the north side of the property.
We have stayed in the tower a couple of times, and agree that they are nicer and quieter. A bit more walking, but might be worth it! Haven’t stayed in one of the suites. Hopefully we can upgrade and try one sometime 😃
Wife and I stayed at the Luxor March 26 -29 . We enjoyed it very much except the food. We got up graded from the main hotel to the west tower view of the pool. We would stay again if need be for sure.
Stayed there once, had a good time, I like the casino & bars, food options ok, I feel the bad reputation is a little unfair. Great review, keep up the great content!!
Great overview, Melissa. I used to stay there a lot in the early 90s too, I must have visited over six times, the Luxor was a good deal.. I'm also glad that you featured the walkway to Mandalay Bay, there's some great bars and restaurants down there as well. 👍🥳

Exactly! It’s very similar to that Excalibur gamble. It’s been hit and miss for us. I liked this particular room, but have had others that weren’t as nice. Not very consistent! 🤣😂 Have a great weekend!!!
Stayed here in May ‘22, it was great, it may not be as swanky as some of the others, but that doesn’t bother me! Staying here again in 11 days time, looking forward to my second visit :)

I have stayed in different towers at Luxor over 3 trips and enjoyed it and love the Fantasy show lol…the only downside of Luxor is the far South location on the strip …but I would definitely stay there again
@@UpUpOurWay It was a lot different from The Venetian where we also stayed that same week. I didn’t think it was that bad! Had a great Strip view and the casino was adequate. I heard it may be replaced soon for a stadium of the Oakland A’s to relocate to LV.
Stayed several time and enjoyed it. BUT I booked a room in the pyramid but never got it. Was always bumped to the tower. So I stopped staying there. Of I pay for the pyramid I want the pyramid.

Melissa I got a 25.00 off credit at the public house there at Luxor from my konami should I use it? Lol . What would you recommend there lol at the end Melissa where your sitting and smiling in the hyper x chair
We haven’t eaten at public house, but you might as well use that credit! It looks good. I had a public house near us that I tried once but it closed. It was good, but I don’t remember what I ate! Lol
Appreciate the review! 🙂 The Luxor wasn't owned by MGM when I was there, so I think it was different then and maybe more upscale, but it doesn't look like a bad place to stay. 🩷 My only experience was using the restroom and a lady of the night tried to pick up my man while I was in the restroom. 😬😆 Lol Quite the experience!

Yeah, tower rooms are better, just more walking to get there.
We tried the Luxor last October and we loved it for a budget hotel!
It’s not the Cosmo, but it’s certainly cheaper!

Agreed! Mandalay place is great. You can sorta stay in that area and never leave. Plenty to keep you busy

This is a great hotel. It is underrated and definitely a lower budget option. An easy walk over the Mandalay hotel for higher end food options.
Quick and easy walk to a few nicer restaurants, but I agree. It’s really not a bad choice!

Stayed in a king sized room facing the strip and the room was so spacious 🙂
I don’t remember previous rooms being quite so large. I was impressed!
Love the shower pressure, however, I think it’s hit or miss. Stayed 8 months ago and had to switch rooms twice just to get water flow.
Yeah, I don’t remember this on previous stays. Must have been specific to that part of the hotel.

The Luxor is a great hotel and casino, stayed here many time's and alaway's enjoyed myself. The "Diablos Cantina" is a must try! (sangria Cocktails)
