  • We need to break from the mentality of symptom treatment.
The key phrase here is “symptoms directed treatment options for IBS”. What just about everyone does for IBS - and for many other conditions - is solely to treat the symptoms. People continue to think that they can ingest anything and believe that there is some magical pill in a bottle to permit their behavior to continue.
You have to realize that everything which you ingest impacts your microbiome. If you’ve been treating your symptoms for years, and not improving, and even perhaps getting worse, then maybe you should try something philosophically different. Something that gets to the root cause. I know it sounds simple, but the way people think about food, medicine and most anything else continues to baffle me.

Doing this makes endothelium as strong as nature can make it against Spike.

I have a presentation on TH-cam which discusses exactly how COVID impacts the microbiome. You should definitely stay on the prebiotic blend during COVID. And I'm glad you're doing well. You're always welcome to record a video testimonial and I'll post it on here.

Wow, very informative thanks a bunch! I have no growth of lactobaccillus species so i am supplementing a probiotic and prebiotic for that.. how long would you recommend to supplement lactobacillus for in order for it to establish itself in the gut? Thanks Doc

Please watch my videos a bit more. I don't recommend Lactobacillus for those with dysbiosis. And in one of my videos, I talk about how even the probiotics people admit that probiotics don't take up residency. If you need specific help, you're welcome to schedule a consult with me at Themicrobiomeexpert.com

do you think it's possible the lactobacillus correlation with IBS and other illnesses is simply a case of correlation does not imply causation, meaning people with IBS and other diseases resulted from gut issues also use probiotics more than the healthy controls, which almost always contain lactobacillus? and that it's actually giving them some benefit? also, if you are right, here's a different question: why do you think it is lactobacillus is considered healthy bacteria? what does other specialists interpret wrong in your view? there must be some data they drive this conclusion from. what is it and why do you dismiss it?

first part - no. the trials control for probiotic use.
second - they are ok but not necessary in the healthy gut. you have to separate the marketing from the reality. remember, most things in this world come down to money. Lactobacillus can be manufactured, packaged, shipped, sit on a shelf and sold to you. If the oxygen-sensitive butyrate-producing health-promoting bacteria could survive that, I guarantee you nobody would be talking about Lactobacillus.

Do you sell a shake with benefits for microbiome? I’ve seen it referred to?

I have designed protocols with the microbial fingerprint of each conition in mind. Those protocols have recommendations for prebiotic products. I have no connection to these products or companies. You can find the protocols on my website, Themicrobiomeexpert.com
