Chat with Cruisers is a great addition to your channel. Starting the chats with "Will N' Joy" makes it even better. We love that amazing couple. They have been a great companion during our 2024 Bahamas Cruising Season. Keep doing such a great job.
Good to see you folks back at it - safe travels. I like the idea of chats with fellow boaters, it introduces new and different perspectives of the experiences most boaters share- good and the bad and the interesting. It is like when you go to convention and talk to people in the same profession as you, and you realize … hey there folks have the same problems we have. You can get a good exchange of ideas and you probably learn something every day.
Hi guys, Awesome episode. Alberta couple starting our "bigger boat" journey. We have been lake boating in Alberta nd BC for 25+ years and have now purchased a Carver 325 in the Kawartha's to begin our training (I retire next year and my wife will retire in 2-3 with some time of working from the boat w/ Starlink)of Locks and Maneuvering, as well as sleeping on the boat anchored and at the dock. Plan is after the training/CND looping on the Trent/Severn, Georgian Bay Great Lakes purchase a larger live aboard diesel then follow your lead down the east coast and over to Bahamas. First thought was to loop down the Mississippi counterclockwise but I think we would rather just head down Florida and cross over to the Bahamas! Our Carver splashes soon and I am having a tough time waiting! Hope your having a wonderful cruising season!!! I need to look back and find some of your Canadian cruising episodes.
Thank you, thank you! Sounds like you have a good plan. Congrats on the Carver. It's great to get used to a boat like that, hone your skills anchoring and close quarter maneuvering. We did the same in our 34 Tollycraft up north. Please don't judge us on the quality of some of those early episodes. 😊 Cheers and good luck in your adventures!
Great video...I enjoyed seeing the interview with Will and Joy....it displays how people can live out their dreams....its never too late...maybe one day!....keep up the good work
Looking forward to the upcoming episodes and I think it’s a great idea. In the interviewing of other voters, getting their perspectives and views is great..
We first contacted you guys 6 or 7 years ago with our desire to cruise to the Bahamas (we live near Kingston). I am really happy (and a little terrified) to say that we are on-track to leave Mid-September of this year. Your videos have been a constant source of inspiration and information.
Brilliant episode. LOVED, the new section. Looking forward to seeing more. Thanks for doing them, we know how much work and time they take. It's all very much appreciated. Xx
Big fan of cruiser chat, great questions and just long enough to add value. You both are looking healthy and happy, looks like the off season was kind to you. Great content!
I like seeing people more my age 50+ instead of always watching young yacht crew. We need more programs like this. Keep it up! (Maybe invest in a microphone if it’s something you continue to do 😊)
Well stick around, we are 50 and it only goes up from here. 🙂 We have a good Rode mic on the main camera, but understand a few lapel mics might be much better. Did you find the audio bad or jarring? Thanks so much for watching.
Thanks so much for the warm welcome back! It's great to hear from our Canadian followers. We are always intrigued about other's experiences out on the water as well. What part of Canada are you from? What kind of boating do you usually do - sailing, power boating, fishing? Feel free to share.
C/S. As always such a great video. Glad to see you back in the Bahamas. We haven’t been back since we met you guys at Bimini Cove 2 years ago. Safe /fun travels. Maybe we will run into you again. Carie and Gary. Leopard PC Island Paws
Great Episode! We love your channel. We discovered you guys when were were searching for videos on the Thousand Islands, because our dream is to one day to bring our boat from Lake Erie there. We bought it as a fixer upper and we are documenting it on our own channel Scott Free Boating. Its nothing like the professional channel you guys have but its a work in progress. But now what have you done???? Now we want to make it all the way to the Bahamas someday!!! Dare to dream! I think that is why I loved this episode so much because of Will and Joy, obviously they are from the same neck of the woods and they are also living their dream!! Inspiring all around! Maybe one day we will see you down there.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We're thrilled that you discovered our channel. Living aboard and cruising is an amazing experience, and it's wonderful to hear that Will and Joy's story resonated with you. Of course we understand the appeal of cruising down to the Bahamas - those crystal clear waters and laid-back island vibes are hard to resist! We'll be cheering you on as you work towards making that Bahamas dream a reality. Keep daring to dream big! You never know where that trusty boat might take you. Maybe our wakes will cross paths somewhere in the Bahamas one day. Fair winds and following seas! Cheers!
Hopefully you can answer this question.A while 1 of the vlogs I was watching(it’s tough getting old)mentioned that the Lionfish is an invasive species. Is there still a bounty on these fish?I’m curious only because if and when I get to the Bahamas I want to avoid any problems from this species ! Great video !
chat with cruisers is very informative and gives you the want to go ahead and make the move like you and Shel did and sell everything and head to the Bahamas and live the life god gave us as free as possible.
In general, how long does it take you to produce a 10 minute video? I know you add music and drone video, etc which many others do not do and I'm sure it adds to your time. Great video!

What water maker do you recommend?
We can only recommend what we have researched and used which is the SeaWater Pro.
Nice!!!!!!
Thanks for the visit
What water maker did your friends get?

Archibald Square
Cute couple!
Cindi should be asking half the questions! Love the segment but Cindi seemed uncomfortable
Thanks for the constructive criticism. Cyndi will absolutely be more comfortable in the future asking questions.

It depends but we usually say 1-2 hours per minute of video. The interview portion doesn't take as much time to edit.
Great addition to your channel, nice to get the perspective and experiences of others.
Awesome. Glad you liked it.
