    I had the good fortune to see an inductive soldering process used in the equipment I shared design work on. Water cooling was required in that application, and IR feedback, high speed. Interesting part is that there is potential for a dead zone with certain "silicons" that makes it hard to read temp with IR...etc. Quite interesting to watch the process, and controller refinement that had to take place.
    I would love to hear more about if there are ferrites needed in the path, and the process. I better get the book.

    I would like to see you work up light weight bullets like us prairie dog shooters use. We also strive for great accuracy along with extreme ballistic performance.
    Thanks

    This is SO weird, I literally was just on AMP’s website looking at this very topic…. 🤔

    What is needed is an AMP disassembly tool to show the the bullet leaves the case with the same force round to round and whether or not there is a correlation between seating force and exit force.

    Any more 6mm ARC videos coming soon? Looking to possibly adopt, haven't seen many 6mm ARC videos on the channel in a while

    That's a very cool story, and I'm sure the product works well, but in the testing I've done improvements in case life come from minimal resizing of the fired case, not from annealing. By neck-sizing, or partial full-length resizing (depending on chamber dimensions), case life can be greatly improved. Annealing of cases, by comparison, had very little impact on the overall case life. I reload for some very obscure and/or obsolescent cartridges, including several wildcats, so case life is VERY important to me. Maybe I'm not annealing properly, but I am already getting excellent case life by simply controlling how much I resize my cases. I don't think even the very best annealing would improve much, in terms of case life, on what I'm already doing.

      Annealing is about consistent neck tension, not case life.

    • @jasonbroom7147
      @jasonbroom7147 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TexasLeverGunner - OK, but neck-sizing or partial full-length sizing generally achieves that same goal? I mean, I'm shooting in the 4's and 5's, with off-the-shelf rifles. How much more is annealing supposed to get me?

    • @TexasLeverGunner
      @TexasLeverGunner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jasonbroom7147 nope, neck sizing and partial sizing doesn’t achieve the same goal. The brass is still work hardening and neck tension is changing. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening, and in a competitive environment at distances of 500m or more, all the little things you claim don’t matter begin to become exceptional.
      PS. There isn’t a top shooter in any discipline involving smokeless powder, jacketed bullets, and bottleneck cartridges that neck sizes anymore. It’s not consistent.

    • @jasonbroom7147
      @jasonbroom7147 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TexasLeverGunner - You won't take it personally if I believe my targets and my case life results and stick to what is proven to work? I am no longer shooting in competitions, but have been reloading for over almost 35 years, including a pretty wide range of cartridges. It's reasonable to think that annealing relieves stress in the neck and shoulder area of a cartridge, improving the consistency of neck tension. If it works for you, go for it, but I'm not spending a ton of money on a process that has shown no demonstrable value in my loads.

    • @TexasLeverGunner
      @TexasLeverGunner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jasonbroom7147 no offense taken, don’t really care. If it works for you keep doing it. Just understand there are better ways and they have been proven.

      Sadly, the AMP Annealing Made Perfect machine is priced out of reach for many of us, because it's an awesome tool.

      @FC2ESWS 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@timmartin6410 it's not even competitive to the Annealeeze which can feed cases and only costs 250 or so. The AMP needs to drop to below 300 to be in the market. Seriously these guys are nuts for pricing this thing way above it's value.
