When my new parakeet would not come out I just open the cage door and play Parakeet sounds from my labtop and the sound gets him wounding about other birds and comes out. My Budgie will be 12 years old this December.
When I first started watching your channel, I only had 2 budgies. Now I have 7! They’re all happy and healthy. I love them all. And I can’t wait to possibly have other species of bird in the future.
It is an incredible thing, gaining the trust of a tiny creature.

I had a budgie, he was from Petsmart. He became my best friend, he was so scared of me at first but I worked with him for weeks and he became to trust me so much, it was so nice. He gave me kisses, he came when I called as well and he wouldn't leave me alone, we had a special bond and I miss him so much 😥. Rest in peace, Bento. Now I'm in the process of adopting a cockatiel and I'm very excited to have a bird again. Just have patience guys and you will be able to have an amazing bond with your baby.

This is really nice and i found out that my bird is very special because when i got him he was 1-2 months old and the first 30 mins we met he has on my sholder and my finger no problem lol.

The methods Alen shows us here usually work given time and a gentle approach. We had one that seemed incorrigible. It took a few months before he began to trust us. Now he is pretty friendly. Keep in mind that each bird is an individual with a distinct personality.

I got 1 budgie 4 years ago and found this channel and learned more about them. Few months later I got him a friend and they became a pair, this January I decided to let them have their babies , 5 eggs all fertile , I removed 2 after the 3 had hatched hoping 1 will survive, all survived now I have 5 😬 , they all have different personality, fun to watch them and interact with but so much messes in the house , to much 😬, I need to find a solution how to keep them locked/ partial in the cage but still have enough space , they have a very big cage for macaw and they found the away out fast through the bars

I got my zebra finch a budgie buddy after his mate died, and I thought, "Cool. We can take it slowly and focus on getting him trained well" and then a week later we were given another budgie who needed to be rehomed (we're her 5th) and now I have to try and train 2 budgies concurrently and my office/aviary is VERY loud. 😄

I recently got two budgies. Found out they were sick so they have to have antibiotics twice a day. Which means having a syringe in their mouth that they don’t want. I feel so bad especially since I just got them and I don’t want them to not trust me.

Hi Alen! so i got a problem with my male budgie Philip. Philip is not able to fly, and when he is trying to leave the ground, he just hit himself in the wall. Can you help me in this situation?
I got a new male for the flock, Zeus. He's flying around the living room already but still untamable ;_; We do think it's part of his personality plus we got him older, maybe 1 year old.

Going on 2 months with 2 budgies. Both jump to the back of the cage when I come up to them. One of them doesn't want anything to do with me and the other just started hopping on my finger with millet. But I have to be verrrrrryyyyyy patient. Wish I had easy training budgies like everyone else who had luck with theirs.

I wish they have bird toys in pet stores here in the Philippines, we have budgies but we can't even buy enough and good bird toys for them 😓 We've also been looking online but it is always out of stock and some are from other countries and the shipping is higher 🥲 but I hope someday we can order a proper bird toys 😭🥲

For me the male is so soft but the female is with me not okay example she comes on my hand and suddenly she will start to bite I will leave it to bite😬😩 but she come to a point where you can't support it now it's OK with little bites but not like before 😅😅

Our female budgie i stame but dont like or wont eat millet or any fruits at all..we tryed to offer her both but she only looks for a bit and ignores it.
So she just eat seeds and seeds all day long.

My budgies are still afraid of me. Afraid of my hand. I've had one for 2 months the other about a month. I talk to them every day. They are afraid of millet in my hand even. So what do I do?? Because these techniques that you describe are not working. It was starting to work with the male but his personality changed completely when I got her. They are starting to bond together but they don't want anything to do with me.
