Otherwise, powering up will immediately put Goku, and characters that can transform above even Whis. At the last chapter of the manga, the power scale in divine terms is probably this: Goku MUI (7.42), Vegeta UE (7.42), SS Broly (7.42), Gohan Beast (7.425) Freeza Black (7.43), Vegito Blue (7.5). In linear terms, the number comparison should be astronomical between Goku MUI and Freeza Black, even though in divine scale its a mere .01. Beerus has 10 so he should be able to comfortably one-shot everyone in the 7 scale.

The base fusions should already be stronger than both of the user’s strongest forms. It doesn’t make sense for Base Vegito to be weaker than SSG Goku/Vegeta and SSB Goku/Vegeta. Vegito and Gogeta were retconned to be equally matched trump cards, as in the multiplier for potara and fusion are both equal.
I think Dragonball Multiverse Fan manga had that right at first i think. In Universe 16 where Vegito never defused After defeating Kid Buu He fought Ultimate Gohan and was Easily Countering Everything Gohan Threw At Him and Gohan was Bewildered meaning Vegito in Base Form was easily Superior to Ssj3 Goku.
Remember that that Whis states beerus can kill anyone regardless of their power level.. so even if goku surpasses beerus. Beerus can still Hakai and kill him if he wants. But I believe they are not even close yet.. as in the Filler Champa and Beerus where about to destroy the universe if they keept on going😅.. that tells us they are faaar beyond them still..
Goku alone is multiversal... also, goku has hax resistance and has repelled a weakened version of the hakai. The universal feat means nothing, and hakai has weaknesses, like maybe vegito could shoot a laser to repel it, or just dodge.
The biggest problem with saying that Vegito Blue surpasses Beerus is that its really inconsistent. The anime and manga are closely tied together so while they may be different in some ways they aren't drastically different stories as they follow the same events by the end. Shin doesn't know what he's talking about sometimes. In the Buu Saga he thought the Saiyans would have trouble with Babadi's henchmen and then with Dabura he is surprised by how strong they are. But he was correct with Buu. In the anime he doesn't even know what Ultra Instinct is and in said anime states Jiren is above anyone they've ever faced including Vegito Blue and Infinite Zamasu. I know this is the anime scaling but the manga is not completely different as they relatively follow similar events. Hell Goku in the TOP becomes far stronger than Vegito Blue thanks to the amount of zenkai's he got pushing Jiren harder than Belmod has seen in a long time and his attacks outright being stated by Goku to be the strongest thing he's ever felt including the attack that would have killed Goku if it had hit him in Ultra Instinct Omen phase 2 trigger because it barely scrapped him so he knows how powerful that attack is. The point I'm trying to make is that if we took Shin's statement at face value it just wouldn't make any sense because Goku gets ridiculously stronger through every arc and if Black Frieza is still not stronger than Beerus it just means that Shin didn't know how strong Beerus actually is considering in Battle of Gods Elder Kai thought Beerus was using his full power and was doing pretty good. So it just means that either its been retconned or that Shin didn't know which is entirely possible because Elder Kai knowing Beerus longer didn't know how strong Beerus was so why would Shin it just wouldn't make sense.

I hate how awful theyre down playing Pottara and Vegito. Pottara is supposed to be stronger and permanent. Like a definitive last resort, something that is just super dire. fusion dance is the optimal way to fuse for that matter because they can get comparable power but not the stability to go for more than the 30 minutes. Its like Vegito wins with difficulty and because Gogeta would also ran out of time. With downplaying the Pottarras their is virtually no distinction that separates them. It loses the stakes and makes it just a cash grab. Why would divine beings need them if they could just use the fusion dance. The same goes for Vegito's appearence, why does he has red hair if goku and vegeta has black hair and it was kinda inplied that all saiyans have black hair. In my opinion, Vegeto should be used against a being with beerus or whiss level powers and only if Vegeta, goku powers and gogetas time limit not being enough. Vegito becomes permanent and capable enought to defeat him and then maybe have someone using buus chemicals to separate them or a super deity undo the fusion. Or better yet have him live with those actions. Gogeta should be the main fusion in every worse case scenario just because it separates in 30 minutes.
