- Vintage Guitar Oldenburg and Tobias Hoffmann present an original Gibson Les Paul from 1954 .

The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1978 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (right) and a Sennheiser 409 (left) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Red Panda Tensor was used for additional loops and sounds. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray and the Greer Amps Lightspeed as booster.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

It is my humble opinion that P90s are the greatest pickups every invented. Especially those on the sweeter, more open side of things like these. Outstanding playing and tone!
As a 15 year old kid in 1967 I had no idea how great a guitar I had luckily acquired and sold it 10 years later to buy a new SG. What a foolish boy! I'll always remember my 54 GoldTop❤
Ah that sucks but I’ll bet lots of folks had vintage Les Pauls and went with something newer in the day. They weren’t super popular like they are now. In 1979 I had a chance to get a 51 tele it was a bit beat up so I went for a new strat. If I only knew. It was $1000 bucks and the new one was $699. Young and stupid but it was only 28 yrs old at the time so wasn’t vintage then and I thought the newer one would be better. ☹️
