@@TaliaIGhul I’m very late to this party but knowing the actors who played 3 of my favorite characters (Delenn, Garibaldi, G’Kar) have passed away adds more poignancy and depth to my viewing of the show. I’m on season 4 now and there’s no drop I’ve seen in the quality of their performances
Unbelievable. Today I'm rewatching B5 and to see how the cast developed as actors I looked through their bio's... I wish I hadn't done that. RIP Richard Biggs, Michael O'Hare, Jeff Conaway, Andreas Katsulas, Jerry Doyle, Stephen Furst... and others. It's been a long time... 25 years, I've watched it as a kid and I loved every moment of it.JMS made it all alive in my imagination even more than on the screen. It hurts to see all of them gone.
Oh man. Watching Mira, and tears welling up. She was such a beautiful person in every aspect. To use your own words: We miss you. We can't get over the loss of you.
RIP Jerry, Stephen and Mira. Loved you guys from the first. RIP Michael, Richard , Jeff and Andy. To all the cast and crew, cudos. I was blown away in the day, to see such great shows. The tears are getting in my way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I was a huge B5 fan, but I never went to Cons or wanted autographs, but I found this after I heard about Jerry Doyle's death. What a prescient statement by Jerry. That one day he didn't miss the sunrise, and that it would be the last one. He'll be missed. The tribute video sadly gets another addition, but his character, and the character of the man, will live on. RIP Jerry Doyle.
I've watched this TV show so many times that I cannot even recall the number. Joe Straczynski, really.. all the cast calls him Joe. The J. Michael thing must be a differentiation from someone with a similar name. Now the fanbase.. JMS is what I usually see.
2021 just seeing this Claudia is still as beautiful as ever. Mr Doyle miss him, and I thought he was the only one who passed, I looked at the list of those who had passed Mira, Richard, Stephen, Andreas, and the list goes on. What great actors, enjoy life while you have it, for tomorrow it will only be a distant memory.
You have a wide range of taste within the Science Fiction Genre if you're here - that's better than limiting your scope to the big box office major franchises only, as some people do - Therefore I submit to you my 1984 feature Film which stills struggles to find it's audience. Here's a recent documentary about it - th-cam.com/video/k7EZB0FP-ig/w-d-xo.html
I miss seeing new Babylon 5. It was such a wonderful time in my life. I also had the fortunate luck to be able to visit the set during filming one of the Episodes and JMS, Jerry, Claudia, and Richards were so nice to a star-eyed young man. I will not ever forget it. Thanks B5.
I met Stephen Furst on one of his American Diabetes Association speaking engagements. What stuck with me was his story about trusting the fanbase a little too much-- i.e., he could relate to stories of obese fanboys and he made the mistake of giving out his private telephone number. So he was still a very guarded man, and he was a bit friendlier with my wife than he was with me. I don't begrudge him that, yet it just seemed kinda sad.
Omg, this was so emotional. I was not prepared for this but I took it all in. Mira Furlan's thank you speech was amazing.. that this reunion gave them closure for all the loss they endured together and since then we lost even more precious people, Stephen Furst and Jerry Doyle, 2 amazing actors who really contributed so much to Babylon 5. Also very touching what Tracy Scroggins had to say. And Claudia Christian about their lost friends and especially Jeff Conaway was very moving. Very sad to see a funny reunion turn into such an emotional rollercoaster but with so much loss it was inevitable I guess. And it's a very fitting tribute to their lost friends and to ours. The message Jerry Doyle was giving was so powerful. He was such a nice and funny man. They all are and were. A big close family. Our family. I love you and thank you for your amazing legacy. I will be watching this great show over and over for as long as I may.
That Vir story at the beginning lol! Also, I was surprised that people didn't like Na'Toth at first. I always thought she was awesome, and wished she had stayed on the show longer!
Living in Australia I really wanted to attend this con but couldn't make it. I have absolutely loved this show for 20 years. It truly inspired me and influenced my life in so many ways. Thank you so much for uploading this vid of Phoenix Comicon!!
he said "We're all in this great Cosmic Fuck together" among other deep reflections that it's hard to believe we're hearing those words with him gone now.
i was in attendance here :) i was 12 then, my dad was a b5 fan and made me go to this panel, which made me watch b5 and babylon 5 has been so so important to me ever since. so glad i finally get to watch it again, although so many people here have passed within the last decade that it's also very difficult to watch :(
Right you are, Paul. NOTHING beats B5! I've seen every episode (Grey 17 included) at least 20 times and Sleeping in Light (50+ times) still leaves me in tears. This series was a thing of utter beauty...
I've watched many Comicon reunions and panels for many Sci-fi/fantasy TV shows, but I never recall witnessing the level of sincerity and closeness as some of the cast on Babylon 5 show here. It was funny, it was moving, and it just makes me miss them all the more.
RIP to those who have passed, While the list keeps growing as it only can, you are all remembered and loved. To those still with us, we love you , and we appreciate you.
I cannot count the times I exclaimed 'My God!' at the words that rolled out of these people's mouth's. Even without JMS' writing their lines they spread pieces of wisdom around that keep me hooked.
Thank you for putting this video. I tought i would just watch a litle bit but ended up watching the hole thing. God this show is the best thing ever. Thanks again for putting this up.
I am a fan of Babylon 5 from the beginning, every week on saturday the show aired here in Holland (Europe) in the late 90's, I remember the time I watched the last episode Sleeping in Light and I cried the whole episode long , I have never had that with any series or movies before and after. I just watched the memorial clip and well , it happened again, I never knew that so many already passed beyond the Rim. I know there are many people who want upgraded HD versions of Babylon 5, someone has done a hell of a job of remastering all the series and movies and spin off series, they are beautiful now , enhanced coloring and DTS audio tracks, I don't think they will ever come any better than that, certainly not from Warner Bros I think.
+spreeuwers1977 I only have to watch the last episode again, or just the last five minutes to start tearing up. I've tried to explain how groundbreaking and wonderful these programmes were (even though sometimes the script sucked balls), but I'm not sure she'd get it, it was made before she was even born
and now with the additional passing of actor Jerry Doyle as well. he told it like it was, very ballsy but in two places in this video half way and near the end, his appreciation of life and reflections of life were so precious and too heard those words now after he's gone is deeply moving as is to hear Mira Murlan's deep moving sentiments as well. i watched these episodes with my mum, we loved the captn and Dylenn sp? being romantics then to see all these great actors gone and now my mm gone too when it seemed just like yesterday is a bit heartbreaking. I wish I could take a time ship or a wormhole thru time and go back.
I just finished watching the series--for the second time--yesterday. I cried almost the entire final episode. Every bit as moving as the first time, 19 years ago.
7, 8 years after the fact, I just saw this. How wonderful! I teared up numerous times. I still can't believe we have lost so many of those fokes that were on stage in 2013. They all were a God send during a very special Golden age of SciFi. As they say, you can not catch lightning in a bottle twice, and boy is that saying correct! Star Trek in the 1990s was created and wad more or less forced in to being good. Babylon 5 worked its ass off to complete its story. I can remember every year praying for renewal and doing what we could to support the show. It had to stand on its (and Joe's) merits. It did that quite well. What an amazing gathering of the right people at the right time. It was lightning in a bottle! This show is very special in my life and I want to thank all involved.
i would like to sincerly say to the babylon 5 creator and all the actors dead and alive how much this series has been there for me during the darkest moments in my life, t no words can convey my appreciation so i will just say thank you, nothing like this show will ever compare to b6
I got a chance to meet Bruce Boxleitner and Mira Furlan at MCM Scotland in 2013. Got signed photo's from them both too. Which are now framed and hanging on my bedroom wall :)
+InYourHeadChangedMan I think that's why they pick a lot of the people they pick for the parts. They pretty much outright said that regarding Vir, awesome story! They all remind you of their characters, except Peter Jurasik doesn't remind me that much of Londo, on the surface Londo was a happy-go-lucky guy but deep down he was a fascist. Peter Jurasik just seems too nice to remind me of Londo, though he does match the happier side I will give him that. Just not evil enough of a person, afaik.
yes her deep feelings moved me as did the two parts where Mr. Doyle reflected deeply on life and appreciation for life and now as of the summer 2016 he just left us as well. so hard to believe that he's gone after just watching this.
In contrast to other groups of actors, writers etc, this cast and JMS are warm and wonderful. they are like a family, in a good way. No wonder that B 5 was such a great show. I like to binge watch the dvds and it never grows stale. RIP to all those who passed so soon
Babylon 5 has a great place in my heart. It was a bonding moment of sorts between my dad and me. He didn't like sci-fi for the most part, but that show, we could watch together and we both enjoyed it immensely. The characters actually go through development. All of them. Most tv shows, most if not all of the characters stay mostly the same throughout the run of the series. B5 had true, dynamic changes. G'Kar and Londo stick out to me. G'Kar starts out as an arrogant jerk obsessed with paying the Centauri back for every little thing they've done and starting an empire of their own for the Narn Regime. And by the end of the series, he's a humble, warm, thoughtful person. Londo kind of goes the opposite way from a fun loving ham to this dark, tired fellow just trying to make the nightmares stop. Love the show, love the contributions of all the amazing actors in it. Wish the DVD versions didn't suck (not what they contain, just the fact that they don't friggin PLAY even though they have NO scratches). One of the best shows of all time, IMHO. So well acted, Jerry Doyle, Mira Furlan, Bruce Boxleitner, Andres Katsulas (love him as Tomalak on TNG too). You are all SO amazing.
i cried 3 times as i remember all the memorys i had and what the show meant to me and the people i shared watching the show with. and the actors who are now gone , "sleeping in light". peace to every one this christmas.
YES I as well. share the same thoughts. It's now the Summer of 2016 and the passing of actor Jerry Doyle brought me here i am deeply touched and blown away by all of their memories and reflections at the end of the video esp. those of Mira Furlan's deeply moving and in two places of the video some great deep reflections from Mr. Doyle about appreciating life while you have it and now he is gone. I used to watch these episodes with my little mother and i can't believe how many years it's been since we watched the show together, we loved it and I just lost her three years ago she loved the Captn Sherriden and Deylnn sp?? together.
as they said with andre, its hard to tell because, like Neimoy, many good actors are changed by the roles they play, hopefully for the better, yeah... its sad that so many talented good people endup with problems and dying early.... i re-watched this again after learning Mira died... damn... why cant some of the bad ones go... keep losing good ones...
Babylon 5 is the best sci fi series ever. The production values for the CGI it would be almost impossible to credit that this was 1993.The Newtonian physics in the dogfighting, the bases and ships was awesome. The actors in this videos and in the show all let their personalities come through and all deliver such strong performances. They will never make the like of this again. PS Thanks Joe for making Ivanova (and Claudia for doing her justice), she is one of the best ruski characters in scifi
On Tracy's comment about Jeff: Substance abuse dose not make a person bad. Plenty of very good people have this problem. Please keep that in mind if you have it too.
Yes, I did see Jeff on Celebrity Rehab, and then rewatched him on Babylon 5, a show I loved greatly. It was so sad to see his downward spiral, when one form of recovery or another will work for almost anyone. Unfortunately, some peoples' pain is so severe that it can NOT be addressed without narcotics. Dr. Drew would have served Jeff far better if they had tried to get him stable on long-acting opiates, like methadone or Suboxone. Trying to get him completely off opiates with his pain levels was cruel and non-productive.
Truly wonderful actors portraying legendary characters set against an epic backdrop. I am so grateful to have lived through the turmoil of the story arc both on and off the screen on the UK's Channel 4. Thank you JMS and the B5 cast for this once in a lifetime experience!
seven years after this was recorded, i laughed, and i cried with all of you. b5 is epic! patricia, that elevator scene was spectacular, my neice laughed so much. this series will be remembered in years from now like the illiad.
Rewatching B5 again. So many cast members are gone. Thanks for the video interview..I would have loved to have been there. B5 was and still is a magical masterpiece of SciFi Opera.
YES it's now the Summer of 2016 and Mr. Doyle has just now passed on. To hear his two different pieces in the video about appreciating life and watching sunrises and deep reflections was powerful. It' hard to believe that he just passed on and that it's been so long since the show was orig. on. I used to watch all these episodes with my beloved mum and now she is gone too. I wish I could take a time ship or a wormhole in space and go back thru time.
It's not the strong language that's objectionable, it's the fact that the video jump cuts around and the sound is all jacked up. The panel can't hear each other, they can't hear the audience, their mikes cut in and out -- come on, people. Who sets this stuff up? It's not like these cons are a new thing. If you can't square this crap away before the actors walk in the door, go home.
You have a wide range of taste within the Science Fiction Genre if you're here - that's better than limiting your scope to the big box office major franchises only, as some people do - Therefore I submit to you my 1984 feature Film which stills struggles to find it's audience. It's definitely amateur hour at the AV production team for this one, it's pretty much unwatchable. Such an epic show and one of the last chances to see some of the cast and it's botched this badly.
I agree, absolutely annoying. Wtf were people doing/thinking? So unprofessional, and also rude. Don't expect guests to be their best and entertain everyone, when you screw up like that.
Just discovered B 5, and finished it yesterday. I want to start at the beginning & watch it again. It was spectacular. The acting was fantastic, and the characters were extremely wonderful.
My favorite sci-fi show of all time. So many wonderful characters, great actors, truly a gem that is underappreciated. Thank you for so many years of a wonderful journey.
Wow I am speechless, such wonderful memories they recounted and then such moving sentiment from each near the end. They and the show became like an extended family to so many of us as we got all got pulled in and intrigued by the story archs and character developments watching them all grow. So many wonderful actors are gone from the show but they really left their mark. I was chocked up by their words and sentiments at the end. Note to self. moving words and reflections by all esp. Jerry Doyle @ 1:03:38 "We're all in this great Cosmic Fuck together" Mira Furlan @ 1:20:10 and Doyle again @ 1:23:18 and now hard to believe that he's gone now too.
+Stuart Seaton Indie? Warner Brothers? It was the first one with a full story arc instead of unconnected episodes. THAT was and still is unique, because every episode had some small clue as to the whole story.
+Daniel Burke yes it was that, but not unique now. I didn't get into it at first when I rented the special premier episode and thereforth into the first half of S01. I took a short break and got back into around the start of S02, and then I started to get hooked. After that it just kept getting more crazy good, until waning off slightly in s05, but that was due to a dispute funding from Warner brothers and a subsequent script rewrite I think. The first 6 episodes of S04 were the most exciting and plot building film sci-fi I have ever seen I think, that tops all TV experiences for me of all time so far probably. But there have been other great things since. B5 also opened my mind to new things more than any other sci-fi has done with the exception of 2001. I had the privelege of seeing leaked copies of the two last eps of season 4 before anyone else in the world. Before it was aired in the US or the UK, because in that time they were screening them in the UK before the US for some reason I can't remember. I will always be proud of that, and gloating about it to my research colleagues at that time when I was sort of still a scientist about it the next day. Roll on the reboot if it's really happening! RIP the old B5
and now in the summer of 2016 the passing of actor Jerry Doyle as well which is very sad after hearing in two places in this video his reflections of life and of how precious it is and how he'd watch each sunrise in appreciation of life.
It was an awesome panel. JMS got a standing ovation when he got the award. I met a few of the actors in my hotel after the panel. Got to thank them for the panel, the ones I spoke with, said they needed this after all this time. Also, it was funny when they ran the video right before JMS for the award, he saw himself in the Thor clip, and said "Fuck, really?". I wish they left it in. It was fun. :)
Thanks for sharing, I'm jealous of the fans who were lucky enough to be able to attend. B5 has been and still is my favorite show ever, seeing the cast all together again is just too awesome for words. This show really touched a lot of people.
" I am Grey, I stand between the Candle and the Star. We are Grey, We stand between the Darkness and the Light. " - Ambassador & Grey Council Member Delenn. Well Mira, you are Light now and Shine with the Stars in the Sky. Thank you. You will be Missed and Remembered.
B5 was my absolute favorite sci-fi series for a long time. It has, however, been surpassed since. My current top 10 list: 1. Orphan Black / Heroes 3. Jericho 4. Babylon 5 5. Dark Matter 6. Star Trek -- TOS 7. Doctor Who 8. Torchwood 9. (Steven Spielberg's) Amazing Stories 10. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. What are other people's favorites?
@@rickardodaggastina9057 true that.its from BG. Battlestar galactica was also great and i meant the "so say we all", that even BG agrees B5 is the greatest.
AMAZING video. I've been watching B5 since it first aired. But FFS can you please reupload an audio compressed version? I spent more time turning the volume up and down than a Vorlon does tampering with our DNA, I'll gladly process a copy for you.
Patricia Tallman is 55? and is still just as dead drop gorgeous as ever, wow. Loved all the stories, and the fun they shared. I still watch the 2-5 seasons once or twice every year, actually was in the midst of one such occasion when I found this wonderful video, and as Bill Mumy would say, thank you kindly, for uploading this for the rest of us :)
Wow!! Stumbled on this vid by accident, - wish I was in Phoenix- Look forward to the 25th which I would gladly pay to attend. - Babylon 5 was an excellent Sci Fi series. It was well written and well acted. I enjoyed it especially as characters developed over time. Hopefully some of those involved will read this tribute. . Thank you for sharing the video and thank you for a great series... !!
i remember meeting my friends the day after the last episode aired. no one spoke for quite some time. then we talked about it for hours. we still talk about b5.
+Shawn Blakeley The show is full of "words of wisdom" ... and also previews of things that would happen ... like the government in the USA sweet talking its own population into thinking "homeland security" (and all the anti-terrorism garbage) a good thing. JMS explained this on the commentary to "In the Shadow of Z'ha'dum" from season 2.
+Shawn Blakeley Star Trek is more a puzzle show, similar to a mystery. B5 is a show that is entirely about deep themes. Star Trek initially had some political themes, but they were more pushing an opinion rather than commenting deeply on the world.
***** I was thinking more along the lines of TOS, though the formula held to a lesser extent for the others. DS9 was similar to B5 in many ways, but I suppose being on a station has that effect. I wouldn't say that The Offspring was "deep" as much as it was emotionally charged. The Inner Light didn't quite seem to fit the bill either, many ST episodes just fell back on "I think, therefore I am." While I don't have a problem with that philosophy in regards to its accuracy, it isn't really a very fruitful theory as it revolves around the No-true Scotsman. It seemed to be neither, the theme wasn't really deep, and it wasn't much of a puzzle. I would say that you make a good point regarding the presence of exceptions, but I would add that they were far more rare with TOS.
***** I'm not saying it was bad, though some of the episodes that were brought up weren't my favorite. I personally loved Voyageur, and the TOS episodes with non-violent themes were actually pretty awesome imo. There was stuff that I didn't like about B5, specifically the final season which seemed kindof thrown together. However, I would like to clarify my original assertion to being that the best Star Trek TOS episodes were like puzzles, whereas the best B5 episodes tended to revolve around how the characters developed, and emphasized people's virtues and vices, as well as the long-term impacts of these virtues and vices. And, as I said before, DS9 and B5 could (and to a certain degree had to be) very similar to each other in regards to continuity and so forth.
We are and have been truly blessed to have been graced by such talent and skill to have touched our lives and souls and making us better for it. thank you all. They were in the right place, at the right time, the right people. in the right part.
I met JMS when I was 13... He didn't respect my age or something but he was totally cold and shunned me off... But to this day, there's seldom a better wordsmith in sci fi.... Absolute legend and I'm forever thankful for what he gave us all with Babylon 5 (I'm 30 now).
I did never like Tracy Scoggins acting work before B5 and had serious doubts about her appearance in my favourite series of all times. That lasted about all of 30 seconds. I LOVED her character within a minute. What JMS writing can do to make her be appreciated be me (however little that means). From now on she will always be Lockley to me.
This is so special to me,some of the crew, some no longer here. Good to see them, they look great,if they should be a reboot of sorts to come,i hope they all appear in it in some form. Words cant explain how i love them so.Babylon 5 will always be my guilty pleasure,i watch it once a year or so,never bored of it.J. Michael Straczynski, i hope your story is retold to a new generation,it deserves to be. I hope even Crusade is redone and finished someday.
Paul Reynolds why a guilty pleasure? eyes wide open see it as it was, a labour of love, feel it , reel in it and be honest with it ... as G'kar said ... the rest will attend to itself.
I used to watch it so many times ,even my family and friends at the time got sick of me watching it over and over, till it became a guilt for me Hee,not now thou.I still watch the whole saga once every 2 years max.
Thank you for posting this. It was good to hear the touching stories at the end. I miss my mom, Lillian every day since 2008, and when she passed away, I read G'kar's Declaration of Principles at the funeral. G'kar was her favorite character and she loved his philosophy. I wonder if she and Andreas Katsulas met in the after life.
Just re-watched the entire series+movies in proper chronological order a few months ago. Even went back to watch w/commentaries. I was an Amiga fanatic when this came out. Even had a Toaster. Rendered all the models in Lightwave. Laid down the animations to a frame accurate SVHS deck. Still have all that equipment.
So true! Each dialogue and monologue has so much wisdom, and all those 'backdoors' JMS wrote for each character! Oh my lord, that's so complex and well thought-out. It's a whole new world I want to live in.
yessss and as of summer 2016 I'm watching this and appreciating all the cast reflections esp. the deep thoughts of Mr. Doyle as he just passed on as well. He said some really great profound thoughts near the end as they all did esp. Mira Furlan was very moving. With Doyle gone now too, all their reflections had me chocked up. I used to watch all these episodes with my mum and i lost her recently. She loved Sheridan and Delynn sp? as a couple
Who ever did the final casting could not have done a better job. Stephen Furst as Vir, one of the funniest lines for me was Vir awakening Londo for an important message and Londo replying "What do you want you moon faced Assassin of Joy". It still makes me laugh to this day.
As a fan of B5 I can say that I will never support a reboot of the series. To me, there will never be anyone who could step into roles as the original cast did.
+Patrick Stivers I can't express how much of a great show this was and how important it was in my life at the time. I will always remember the show with fondness. However, I also loved the modern BSG, also a remake/reboot, and I liked the new Star Trek reboot so I will watch any new version of B5 and give it a fair go.
You know, G'Kar and Londo were awesome. Fantastic actors. But for the rest of the cast, i think they could replaced easily. Garibaldi is basically Bruce willis, i'd have Christian Bale be Sheridan, because he's the capain we deserve. Liv Tyler as Dellen. Gandalf would be awesome as Kosh. If we wait a few years still, Jen Lawrence could be a good Ivanova. Oh, and let the guy who played Garak on DS 9 be Lorien, their voices are practically be the same. And lets have Cumberbatch be someone, he's always a safe bet.
Rewatched this after news that Mira passed away. A great actress and great person!
Far too many folks from this show have passed on.
you all probably dont care but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me.

RIP Stephen Furst and Jerry Doyle. Loved the show
And Richard and Andreas
You have a wide range of taste within the Science Fiction Genre if you're here - that's better than limiting your scope to the big box office major franchises only, as some people do - Therefore I submit to you my 1984 feature Film which stills struggles to find it's audience. Here's a recent documentary about it - th-cam.com/video/k7EZB0FP-ig/w-d-xo.html
RIP Mira Furlan
I miss seeing new Babylon 5. It was such a wonderful time in my life. I also had the fortunate luck to be able to visit the set during filming one of the Episodes and JMS, Jerry, Claudia, and Richards were so nice to a star-eyed young man. I will not ever forget it. Thanks B5.
Andreas Katsulas and the free ham may well be my favorite story about any human being in history.
It was very well told
1:32 Vir has always been my favourite on that show everything from 'Don't give away the home world' to 'the wave' .Great stuff,Thank you
I met Stephen Furst on one of his American Diabetes Association speaking engagements.
You mean Tracy Scoggins?
@@wireboar7321 Yeah, couldn't remember the name.
@Jinx yeah but in the interview Tracy says she was not liked by fans, not Julie iirc
Living in Australia I really wanted to attend this con but couldn't make it.
I have absolutely loved this show for 20 years. It truly inspired me and influenced my life in so many ways. Thank you so much for uploading this vid of Phoenix Comicon!!
Still my favourite show after all these years! Great memories, thanks to all the actors & crew.
RIP Jerry Doyle. Great quote by Jerry at the end there.
he said "We're all in this great Cosmic Fuck together" among other deep reflections that it's hard to believe we're hearing those words with him gone now.
i was in attendance here :) i was 12 then, my dad was a b5 fan and made me go to this panel, which made me watch b5 and babylon 5 has been so so important to me ever since. so glad i finally get to watch it again, although so many people here have passed within the last decade that it's also very difficult to watch :(
Love Babylon 5. This was wonderful, seeing the cast together again. I didn't realize so many people have passed on.
and now the passing of Mr. Doyle now too after hearing his awesome reflections and appreciation for life in this video really hits home.
Best series ever made. I will always be a fan. I never missed an episode and loved every minute.
Damn, Tracy Scoggins STILL looks amazing.
RIP to those who have passed, While the list keeps growing as it only can, you are all remembered and loved. To those still with us, we love you , and we appreciate you.
Patricia Tallman doesn't changed a bit. Like a charm!
an absolutely fabulous show, well ahead of its time.
See you beyond one day :)
@ The Dark Angel: *hug*
Jerry Doyle would be a perfect brother for Bruce Willis.
I always wonder why they didn't put him in Die Hard 4 or 5. It would've made for better movies.
Damn this was my dream as well.. Fucckkkk
I feel like I missed out listening to his radio show when he was alive. Was he this snarky then? I missed out.
OElu Arkham P.@oppoppp
U
He played his double on "Moonlighting" way back when.
Thanks so much for uploading this was brilliant and moving. So sad that so many people integral to the show are no longer around:(
i would like to sincerly say to the babylon 5 creator and all the actors dead and alive how much this series has been there for me during the darkest moments in my life, t no words can convey my appreciation so i will just say thank you, nothing like this show will ever compare to b6
I got a chance to meet Bruce Boxleitner and Mira Furlan at MCM Scotland in 2013. Got signed photo's from them both too. Which are now framed and hanging on my bedroom wall :)
@ 1:20:13 Mira Furlan would bring a tear to a glass eye I think she is very similar to Delenn spiritually
Thanks for sharing the time stamp. It's nice to see the person behind the character and Mira really does seem like a kind and humble person.
In contrast to other groups of actors, writers etc, this cast and JMS are warm and wonderful. they are like a family, in a good way.
No wonder that B 5 was such a great show. I like to binge watch the dvds and it never grows stale. RIP to all those who passed so soon
My favourite Sci Fi show, rewatched many times. A huge thank you to everyone involved, great cast, great characters. Thank you all.
I used to watch these episodes with my little mother and i can't believe how many years it's been since we watched the show together, we loved it and I just lost her three years ago she loved the Captn Sherriden and Deylnn sp?? together.
Jerry Doyle didn't act in Babylon 5 he just acted normal, he is exactly like Mr Garbaldi
as they said with andre, its hard to tell because, like Neimoy, many good actors are changed by the roles they play, hopefully for the better, yeah... its sad that so many talented good people endup with problems and dying early.... i re-watched this again after learning Mira died... damn... why cant some of the bad ones go... keep losing good ones...
@@AshenTechDotCom and Stephen furst is exactly like vir
Babylon 5 is the best sci fi series ever. The production values for the CGI it would be almost impossible to credit that this was 1993.The Newtonian physics in the dogfighting, the bases and ships was awesome. The actors in this videos and in the show all let their personalities come through and all deliver such strong performances. They will never make the like of this again. PS Thanks Joe for making Ivanova (and Claudia for doing her justice), she is one of the best ruski characters in scifi
Mira Furlan just about had me in tears listening to this walking my dogs. Can't believe she and so many of the people in this show are gone already.
@Kahless That's your experience and your reaction to the drugs - other people they work well for (for a while at least)
So true
Great video! Many fun and emotional moments. And many things that I didn't know about the cast. Thanks for uploading!
20 years... Suddenly I feel old...
I know how you feel
+M00gle007 Me too.
Damn it, we lost another one, much too soon. Mira Furlan, RIP...😢
Crazy to remember B5 came out 27 years after ST:TOS.. such a huge evolution.
Positively loved the show first time around and I got so much more rewatching it recently. The cast and characters touched everyone’s hearts🌹
always loved Babylon 5 love it and I love this thank you for posting. May the Great Maker smile upon you all!
Mira Furlan has died at the age of 65 on 20 January 2021. R.I.P.
Damm right that really pissed me off too
You have a wide range of taste within the Science Fiction Genre if you're here - that's better than limiting your scope to the big box office major franchises only, as some people do - Therefore I submit to you my 1984 feature Film which stills struggles to find it's audience. It's definitely amateur hour at the AV production team for this one, it's pretty much unwatchable. Such an epic show and one of the last chances to see some of the cast and it's botched this badly.
They cut corners as much as they can, still going on now, no respect.
So many of the lead actors from B5 have passed away at young ages. (The Doctor passed away at 44!).
Thank you for a wonderful video. This brings back soo many wonderful memories. 20 years? Cheeses.
I've been a Babylon 5 fan for a very long time, and I wish I could have been there!
My favorite sci-fi show of all time. So many wonderful characters, great actors, truly a gem that is underappreciated. Thank you for so many years of a wonderful journey.
Rest In Peace Mira Furlan
Just found out she passed away, great Actress great person, she will be missed
there are some things in life that you miss so much Babylon 5 is one of them.
Jerry Doyle @ 1:03:38 "We're all in this great Cosmic Fuck together"
Mira Furlan @ 1:20:10 and Doyle again @ 1:23:18
and now hard to believe that he's gone now too.
I cried 4 or 5 times watching that . The Force is strong in that JMS human
see this video again now that Mr. Doyle has also passed on his reflections and advice in this video were very deep.
Finding out about even more cast members who've passed since B5,so many. Sad. Loved this show, one of the best pieces of indie sci-fi TV ever.
+Stuart Seaton Indie? Warner Brothers?
It was the first one with a full story arc instead of unconnected episodes. THAT was and still is unique, because every episode had some small clue as to the whole story.
+Muck006 Not really, I mean we got Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead.... space scifi though, can't think of one
B5is the greatest Sci-Fi series of all time. Without a doubt. So say we all.
Agreed!
So say we all is Battlestar Galactica.
Definitely!
B5 was my absolute favorite sci-fi series for a long time. It has, however, been surpassed since.
My current top 10 list:
1. Orphan Black / Heroes
3. Jericho
4. Babylon 5
5. Dark Matter
6. Star Trek -- TOS
7. Doctor Who
8. Torchwood
9. (Steven Spielberg's) Amazing Stories
10. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
What are other people's favorites?
@@rickardodaggastina9057 true that.its from BG. Battlestar galactica was also great and i meant the "so say we all", that even BG agrees B5 is the greatest.
One of the most powerful videos I've ever seen Heartfelt and touching, it really moved me. Thank yoy all
AMAZING video.
I've always called it Star Trek for grown ups. So many of the themes and issues in this show apply to today!
***** It does get you thinking about the third option. At least for me. Depends on the series and episode to a degree, though.
Even if he's not there, he's opening video delivers a great presence. Loved him
I loved that series so much. I'd get super excited whenever I heard the intro start.
yessss as did I it seems so nostalgic now I miss all the actors that have passed on and now Mr. Doyle as well
We are and have been truly blessed to have been graced by such talent and skill to have touched our lives and souls and making us better for it. thank you all. They were in the right place, at the right time, the right people. in the right part.
I was there, in the audience. It was awesome.
I met JMS when I was 13... He didn't respect my age or something but he was totally cold and shunned me off... But to this day, there's seldom a better wordsmith in sci fi.... Absolute legend and I'm forever thankful for what he gave us all with Babylon 5 (I'm 30 now).
What a panel! Wish I could have attended. Spans the emotional spectrum, from serious to funny to sad and back. What a cast this show had!
We love Vir and love his performance as Vir. A true hero of Babylon 5.
Patricia Tallman still looks amazing!
Yes. She does.
I loved this show and watch it all the time, just sobering to think that a lot of the cast have passed away :(
This is so special to me,some of the crew, some no longer here.
I can't believe that three on this panel have left us.
Just finished watching season 5, really loved it, I like star trek but it has nothing on B5. G'kar and Londo are the best characters ever!
Couldn't be more true. The writing for B5 was absolutely phenomenal.
So true! Each dialogue and monologue has so much wisdom, and all those 'backdoors' JMS wrote for each character! Oh my lord, that's so complex and well thought-out. It's a whole new world I want to live in.
Nice to see CC and JMS together.
I hadn't realised so many of the cast had passed on.
and all so young :(
Yes, way to early. ... sad...
yessss and as of summer 2016 I'm watching this and appreciating all the cast reflections esp. the deep thoughts of Mr. Doyle as he just passed on as well.
He said some really great profound thoughts near the end as they all did esp. Mira Furlan was very moving. With Doyle gone now too, all their reflections had me chocked up. I used to watch all these episodes with my mum and i lost her recently. She loved Sheridan and Delynn sp? as a couple
Jerry Doyle, Stephen Furst also gone now.
@@randallpetersen9164 and now mira furlan 😢😢😢
This is the BEST show, no holds barred, of an erra!
RIP Mira Furlan 😢
ty so much Joe m s for this und love to the cast, saddened at the loss of another Jerry...he was such fun
Just to see how moved everyone was after the memorial video speaks volumes about how wonderful these people are. Not just actors, human beings.
This is the dopest convention panel I've seen. Everyone just talking shit like its a Sunday at a friend's house. Man this is just treat to fans.
