❤❤ I truly got so much out of your inspired by God talk. Thank you. You are a ray of sunshine. I will be sharing this with my friend who has walked through grief not once but twice.. the loss of her son and then a year a hold later the loss of her husband from cancer. I think she will benefit from your experience. Bless you all. Happy marriage too!
I’ve followed you for years, always impressed by your faith & trust in God (and ability to raise a large family so well!) Happy you have another good man to live out your marriage vocation. God is good, all the time!🙏🙏🙏
I loved that book and thought I should read it every year! But I had already been through those realizations before, several different times so it was more confirmation!
Thank you for sharing your faith story! Happiness to you all! Continued prayers for your kids bright futures ahead of them! I enjoy my monthly CAY books love your chapel, and look forward to your Cmass card ✝️
I’ve been sloooowly reading The Sunflower by St. John Maximovitch and it has the same message as Fr. Jean Baptiste’s book you mentioned, and it has been a HARD concept to face! However, it’s also rung as True throughout and has been very fruitful for me. Like you said, it’s liberating in a way to lean into the difficulties because they are God’s will for me.
I remember having dinner with you and Jim in Rome and marveling over how peaceful your family was while our then two toddlers raised hell. I’m so glad that peace is still present, in a different and still beautiful form 🦆
Thank you. I too put everything in God's and Our Lady's hands. I love that book Trustful Surrender....I'm always picking it up and reading it and reminding myself that God has everything under control. I have been wrestling with the idea of joining a catholic online courting site. I would much more prefer to meet someone in real life but it's just not happening. I'm worried I might be forcing something that's not meant to be...
Be careful with those sites. I personally had a bad experience on CM. and l heard the others sites are just as bad. One friend actually ended up in a dangerous situation with a former felon. I'm also a widow. After three bad experiences, two which only happened online and thanks be to God we never met, and one in person experience, not that he was a horrible person, he just didn't understand what it meant to be Catholic, l'm pretty sure God has called me to remain a widow. With my special needs child l really don't have time or the emotional energy for dating.
I appreciate and respect Kendra's vulnerability here so I don't mean for this to sound accusatory. But emotionally, I don't think I could ever accept seeing another woman in my father's arms, not even if she were very, very nice, and not even if the Church permitted it.
@l-kin3480 The Church teaches that romance and sex are not actually needs and are not necessary for happiness. There are thousands of people living happily without them every day.
@@l-kin3480 To ask your children to "make sacrifices" for you is to treat them inappropriately like adults. Children see things in a primal way and it is the responsibility of the adults in their lives to take care of them in a developmentally appropriate way, which means avoiding putting them in emotionally hurtful and confusing situations.

I think she already answered that. God called her to a second marriage vocation. I've known priests to recommend widows with young children to prayerfully consider marriage again.
Yes, I understand, my question was directed to the original poster that states she should’ve just not got married that’s it. I totally agree with CAY. When u r widowed u are free to marry if you so choose.❤ have a blessed day !!
This was helpful to me as I discern remarriage after being suddenly widowed at 41. Thank you.

Do you have the “inspired my God” talk recorded?

So happy for you and John and your new blended family . Great talk…
Thanks so much, Niamh!

Stop being selfish. Your parents have romantic needs that you can't fill for them
@l-kin3480 Children should never be asked to "make sacrifices" for their parents. To ask them to do that is to treat them inappropriately like adults.

Reading that book made me so mad too!!!
SO mad 😅
Why not stay by yourself and have only one marriage
Why???
I think she already answered that. God called her to a second marriage vocation. I've known priests to recommend widows with young children to prayerfully consider marriage again.

Because she didn’t want to
What would be the reason for staying alone? Kids need a father, as Genesis says it is not good for man to be alone.
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
