Thank you for your testimony. Remember that our dearly departed are not in our past but in our future, as one day when our own time is up, God will call us too. It’s painful as we miss them, but they are alive with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Our Lady, the angels and the saints. God bless you and thanks for your videos I’ve just discovered. 🙏
This was meant for me. I've wasted so much time in worrying over this, that, and the other but especially with my health. I'm going to try extra hard to live by your words..."waiting to worry". You are an inspiration. My thoughts and prayers continue for your family.
God bless you, Kendra. I had no idea you lost your husband and my heart broke when I saw this video. Your book, Catholic All Year, permanently sits on our kitchen counter as a reminder to bring it to our dinner table at night to discuss the feast days. I see it every day, and I will pray for you every time I see it now. Sending you lots of love and prayers.
What an incredibly powerful talk. Wow. I really am in awe of your strength and how you reflect God’s graces. It’s difficult to put this feeling of awe into words, praying for you and your family this Christmas Eve. God bless you all.
Oh Kendra, once again you show us how to really live our Faith. I have kept you and your family in my prayers for many years now, ever since I found you on my journey as a Catholic. May the Lord continue to be your light and Mother Mary cover you with her mantle.
Dear Kendra, Thanks for letting us be part of your family's mourning and your personal "not to be" VSW experience. My husband is going through a very challenging career-changing process, and in prayer I am learning to be at his side, to letting him lead. Regardless, today you taught me something new, “wait to worry; today it’s OK.” Thanks for teaching me, in a practical way, how to have hope in God’s Plan. God bless you and your family.
Kendra I am so touched by your witness. You are THAT expert resource for me. You have helped me be a great mother and have answered more child rearing questions for me than you’ll ever know. And now, you have taught me how to mourn with grace and true hope. God bless you and your family.
My heart breaks for you and you and your family are on my long list of people to pray for in my rosary book. I lost my husband of 41 years 4 years ago so I feel your pain and realized the only reason I have been ok is all the prayers. Thank you for sharing...and the new meaning to all the white butterflies I see. God bless.
Hi Kendra. As a longtime subscriber to your blog, I wanted to let you know that I think it was wonderful how you could make people laugh while I am sure you would have been crying inside. You and your family will be in my prayers.
I will continue to pray for your family. What a beautiful message on intercessory prayer. I feel that way about praying my daily rosary. I don’t realize its effects until I look back and see how much the grace has blessed my life.
Awesome. (And charming, humorous, and eminently practical, as always! Going to grab hold of "waiting to worry.") Thank you for sharing so much with us. Asking Alice von Hildebrand, another holy and "expert" widow, to keep you in her prayers from Heaven!
This just changed my new widowhood. Thank you.
