It sure did take time to stick, go back to the camera, make a shot, come back, shift.. repeat a few hundred times... but I guess it should be a good way of showing off the products properties :D
I have a large A1 photo attached to my wooden wardrobe that sits there since around 1999, still holding, and I removed it a few times to check the wood - both the photo and the wood still in tip-top shape :D
We have a rough wall design, will it stick well still? When I always try to attempt to hang my posters after 1-3days it always fall even though I'm using a mount tape.
Hey, what material is the wall made out of? It fills in all the gaps and pores, so it should stick! You can try sending me a pic and if I find something similar I can test it for you. Cheers! :D
@@CRANEREVIEWS Thank you for your reply, I finally bought it and it sticks very well although my posters fell after a few days but I can just remold the tack its and it will stick again.
Try scrubbing the wall with some cleaning solution and molding for longer so it gets warm and applying a bigger piece, might be the dust or not enough surface area. :)
Might be a bit too heavy, how big of an angle and approximate size/weight? I could try experimenting if I find anything similar, so you won't have to risk your tapestry getting damaged.
Should work, you might get a small "wet" mark where it was used after leaving it for a long time, but it wouldn't be seen on the other side of the paper.
I used posters from "poster stores" as well as photographs on photo paper that didn't leave a stain even after months and years of usage, what kind of material are the posters made from? I could try testing if I can get my hands on something similar, we don't have blu tak in Ukraine, so can't compare :(
As @shook bitch said Amazon if that's an option amzn.to/2PEzBvy (referral link that will support me with a small kickbar) your local arts and crafts store might also have em! Cheers :D
Not sure to be honest, we only have the white and color mix for sale here and I only got the white ones, but I would assume they should be identical. Cheers! :D
Ok but i used that to hang up pictures and after a year I wanted to paint my wall but when I tried to take the pictures of it ripped up part of my wall and I couldn’t remove the little pieces and I had to scrape it of with lead to a ruined wall I’m never using tack ever again or anything like it
Oh god, was this with Faber's Tack It? I have some decade old prints and never had anything even remotely close to your situation. Usually I use some more tack it to remove anything left and if I even have to remove any sort of stuck adhesive I use one of those small plastic scrappers and maybe a drop of adhesive remover (usually for strong 3M kinds of things)
This item? Shouldn't be able to ruin posters even if it does peel off, but the walls material might cause issues. As I said, experiment with paper/canvas at first, maybe clean the wall and add more adhesive.
Here are my referral links for Amazon where you can buy both the Faber Castell Tack It amzn.to/2PEzBvy And Bostik Blu Tack amzn.to/2PEzgJi for now extra cost to you and a small kick back for me =P

Been two years, got some berserk posters that are double sided so I didnt want to pin or cause them damage, thanks for the video. Will buy
A like just for the poster moving edit😄👍🏼

I just waste my money on buying lots of double sided tape.....
wow! great video! i will definitely use some poster puddy for my signed posters.
I would first test with a regular poster, just to be safe, but if the wall is nothing out of the ordinary - should work fine :)
Love the one piece poster
Was a real dilemma.. choosing just one poster :D
Thank you for the information I have got some posters and they keep falling off so I’m going to try this cheap alternative to buying poster frames
Cheers, if the surface is flat, for extra measure you can put some alcohol (substance) to clear of any debris. Should hold for years!
So they won't damage the wall right? And how long can I expect them to last without falling? And they won't damage the poster too right?

@@CRANEREVIEWS ok thanks bro. Appreciate it. U just gained a sub

Great video. But my posters usually fall off after a few days, especially the top corners. Do you have suggestions to fix this?
What kind of wall do you have? I would try to degrease it with alcohol, let it dry and apply more tack it using it on more than just sides.
@@CRANEREVIEWS honestly I'm not sure. Plaster, maybe?
I'll try that. Thanks
Fr I might just use clear push pins since tack ain't working for me
@@kvzxn4131 I actually ended up buying tacks that were a little pricier from a stationary store, and now my poster has been up for 2 months
@@00repz00 sheshh that's pretty long
I used to use blutack to hang my posters but after a couple of weeks the glutack dents the posters. Does this do that to the paper too?
Hey, I guess it really depends how hard you squish it and how much putty you apply, if you do it carefully - it shouldn't!
this might be old, but how many do you recommend on a poster like is 4 enough for a poster?
if you have a big poster, you should put some in the middle and along the edges
as vera said putting some in the middle will help with weight distribution and so it doesn't sag!
Can i use mounting putty to hang a tapestry on a sloping ceiling?
Might be a bit too heavy, how big of an angle and approximate size/weight? I could try experimenting if I find anything similar, so you won't have to risk your tapestry getting damaged.
@@CRANEREVIEWS roughly 51 in hight, 61 in length
now this was helpful. Thank you
Glad it helped! Tried a dozen of different ones from bad to good, so far Faber takes the cake :D
Hi, is it possible to use this without damaging a normal print paper? Planning to stick some A3 moodboards on my wall 😅
Should work, you might get a small "wet" mark where it was used after leaving it for a long time, but it wouldn't be seen on the other side of the paper.
Is this different from blu tak? Because blue tak leaves a stain on a poster

Question, does it stick well on concrete walls?
Really depends on the texture, for posters it should work.

I have a pack of the same Faber Castell brand but the putty is green, have you tried it? Is it the same good quality?

What white speakers are those on the background?
PC Speakers? Edifier E25 Luna Eclipse
Does it hurt the paint??

Do the wall damage after removing that
I heard it stains walls is that true? If so can the stains be removed or are they permanent?
Do you have examples? Like what kind of walls? What stains? I personally have a whole bunch applied all around without issue for years
@@CRANEREVIEWS on some Amazon reviews a couple of people showed some dark color stains on the walls where the tack use to be.

Haha, took me at least 10 visits to local anime stores to find it :D
I only have one small portion of that stuff
I think I still have bits from high school too :D
I just want it for posters
I have since tried 4 other brands, and the quality is just not there. Faber rocks!
It leaves an oily residue.😒

Just use mounting tape. Hate that putty shit, it's such a mess.

It doesnt stick to textured popcorn walk 🫠🫠🫠
Sort of like... I said in the video? xD
