Even if it made no sense plot wise, this fight was so hype it was insane.

I understand that this is an updated release, but Yakuza 5 aged well for a 2012 game
Idk the name of the engine but Yakuza 0/5/Ishin/Kiwami 1 all look great even though they are PS3 games. I would've been fine if they stuck with it over the dragon engine tbh.

Katsuya seriously thought he has a chance against Saejima lol. The man is middleweight at best while Saejima is undoubtly heavyweight
In the world of Yakuza, the only weight categories are Protagonist, Boss, and Mook. Such things as heavy and middle weight have no place in a universe where people can glow with power, use supermoves, and survive way more than any person actually should.

It's funny because they're supposed to be fighting to death just to know how is the villain (Probably one of the most nonsense things I've seen in a Yakuza game), but surprisingly nobody dies in battle :)

Masaru Watase, Naoki Katsuya & Sango Amon (Collisions of Our Souls).
It would have been cool if there was an alternate ending path where Saejima won this fight and made good on his threat to btfo of the Tojo and Omi but this series doesn't do multiple endings. It could've even spawned a spinoff like Drakengard's joke ending leading to NieR.
There's kind of an ongoing thing where Saejima and Kiryu never end a fight at a disadvantage to each other. In the post-fight cutscene, they're always in an equal state. Kind of the whole 'Dragon vs Tiger' mythology and all that.
Kiryu needs a refund on his Tiger Drop, thing keeps hitting this tiger without dropping it.

Wonder why Katsuya didn’t show up in Like a Dragon? Dude didn’t die from the gunshot he got and he’s third in command of the Omi.
My only theory is Aoki Ryo did some scheming so either he's assasinated or the higher ranks in Omi are replaced with his pawns (the 3 Omi lieutenants)

I'm mad they somehow forgot the subtitles in the fights.
Now that I finish the game, these boss fights were super fun. Love them . . . logic in this . . . goofy but in a fun way. I understand Kiryu and Saejima vs Watase and Katsuya because Tojo clan vs Omi Alliance, but why Kiryu vs Saejima? Why would the main villain think it would be tojo vs tojo (unless he saw the plot of 0,1,3 and 4). That and after the fights kiryu and saejima carry their respectable opponents off the area like it's fight club. Very goofy but still very fun to enjoy

Watase's Asura is pretty badass, not going to lie.
Yeah either an asura or a dharmapala, along with buddhist symbols on his arms. The dharma wheel represents the right path to enlightenment, and the vajra represents the invincibility of buddhist beliefs
