I have that DS dictionary “game” with G&W on it. That thing was a lifesaver when I lived in Japan. This was before smartphones, so you couldn’t point your phone camera at it and have it translate signs for you. Smaller train stations usually wouldn’t have town names in English so I’d have to rely on drawing the kanji on my DS to find my way around.

Gunpei Yokoi seriously needs more recognition.
Wow that G&W vintage commercial is literally how Nintendo has revealed every one of their hand-held consoles with a person in a suit pulling it out from their inner pocket.
Gunpei Yokoi is that kind of mind genius that appear once in every generation. He didn't only created Game & Watch but idealized R.O.B. to bring back the interest on games on US, directed the first DK, produced Kid Icarus, created Wario... It's so sad he passed away so early, with the last creation being the Virtual Boy...

You forgot to mention the "Nintendo 3DS Sound" app that has a Game & Watch mini game when you are listening to music
I'm actually really glad at a former local game store called high-tech Game center I got Game and Watch Gallery 4 on the GBA. It's just fun to pick up and play and come back to you later and I love how if you turn off the game while pause you can just continue from exactly where you left off.

As a game n watch main since brawl this made me happy
At one time on the Soviet Game & Watch "Egg" clone , we thought that for 1000 points it would show a cartoon (lol), but nobody was able to check
I bought one a few days ago and I love it. It’s so charming and addictive

They should have called named Donkey Kong Hockey "Hockey Kong"
