  • This is our process of moving our quail from the incubator to the brooder. We enjoy the self sufficiency of providing our own meat. They take up a small footprint on the homesteading the serving size is great for us as empty nesters. Grilled quail is our favorite recipe so far but Patrick will have lots of tricks up his sleeves in the future for menus. Join us on our venture of raising quail.

Well it gave me the idea to just put the wire on the bottom of a dog kennel I already have. BOOM. PROBLEM SOLVED 😂

When do you get rid of the paper towels and what stage do you move them to their hutch?

We remove the towels when they are getting around easily, usually at about 1 week. We move them when they are fully feathered . -G
