    Whoever invented Fishbites, has to be a millionaire by now. One of the best baits I've ever used. When I take my daughter fishing, I put some Fish bites on a Sabiki rig and let her catch bait all day long. Keeps her happy and my bait bucket filled up.

    Fishbites are a good tool when using fleas, clams and shrimp on dropper rigs in the surf. They help keep the bait from torquing off the hook when casting and have the additional benefit of attracting bites through sent and sight. As far as casting frisky live baits, I find that the more prevalent problem is having the hook slide past the bend. up the shank, allowing the hook to spin around and bury itself back into the baitfish. Thus guarantying a failed hookset. Many tournament sailfish mates slide tiny rubberband squares on the hook up to the bend before baiting up with whatever live bait they are using. Cutting and keeping rubberbands is easier and way cheaper than dealing with fishbites. Also if you want your fishbites to last, keep them refrigerated and sealed then place them in a cooler when fishing.

    • @CaptDavesSportfishing
      @CaptDavesSportfishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no problem keeping fishbites and I want the extra scent dispersment. My fishing is for giant Speckled Trout with live 3-8"" Croakers. I have fishbites with me for jigs and Lures also. I don't find "dealing" with Fishbites at all difficult or a problem. Thanks for viewing

  • @kellyroup4262
    @kellyroup4262 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Better than cutting is to use the biggest punch on leather punch and you're good. 10 to 15 minutes and you'll have a pill bottle full that will last you a while no matter how much you fish.

THEY ARE NOT PLASTIC. they slowly melt in water, giving off a protein scent attractive in water. if the bag even was punctured and air got in, you're done.
