I always liked 1970 the best....the wildness of the guitar licks were wilder then....and seemed louder....the sound blasted out into the audience....saw 2 shows in 69 and 8 in Feb.70 and 8 in Aug/Sept 70......loved 69 sound!!! But no Cc Rider then....you're fabulous!!!!

Heitor, congratulations! I've been an Elvis fan since 1974 and, as a guitarist, I also really appreciate the solos of James that you can masterfully do. The first time I saw you play was with Klush (for me the best) and I became your fan. Congratulations Heitor, big hug. God bless you. ( I am brazilian too)

Heitor, just a comment on the April 72 tour solos… I saw Elvis on that tour in Little Rock, AR on April 17, and the SSR solo played was very much like the Aloha solo. The next night RCA recorded in San Antonio (4/18/72) and the same “Aloha” solo was played. I don’t know when the “On Tour” solo was dropped but it was gone by 4/17/72.
Keep up the great work… love your playing!

  • @dulls8475

I agree. He looked better and sang just as well in the rehearsal. Listen to your work as i always wish the mixing on Elvis songs pushed JB more to the front. Have you ever looked at the guitar work on wearin that loved on look? I dont think it is JB on that song but it is amazing but to well hidden by the bad mix.

I loved your playing ever since I saw you with an ETA on TH-cam. It was either Donny Edwards or Shawn Klush. You’re spot on to James’ style of playing. I’m pretty sure it was Shawn though. I can see why he call you “Baby James”. Lol. The only thing I suggest is getting a mic for your voice. I have to keep turning my phone down when you start playing. It’s just a suggestion. Keep it up man.

Anything that brings that vintage fuzz sound. Fender had a reissue of the wah wah with fuzz pedal which is what James used in the 70's. He also used a colorsound pedal but those are super hard to find and pricey

The AIMS amp for the Aloha! He stuck most of the time with Elvis with the same amps, Fender Twin, sometimes the Music Man 201-150, I've seen the Fender Concert also being used sometimes!
