Just got my first pure bred beagle, a little girl named Coco.
My last one, was a Boxer-Beagle named Stella and even though she had some boxer traits, she made me fall in love with the Beagle breed. I lost Stella in May of 2020 at the height of the pandemic and it has taken me this long to finally find Coco.
I couldn't be happier and am so grateful to have a channel on TH-cam dedicated to JUST BEAGLES.

Make sure hide and seek treats is done in places where they are always allowed to be. Beagles are very curious and will return to those locations later. For example, if you don’t want them digging through your bed covers, don’t hide treats in there or they will return to play there again.😂
Made my beagle a flirt pole with PVC pipe, and then bought one off Amazon. Best $30 I've spent in a long time! He even sleeps with it!lol...
In the end a happy Beagle is a loved and wanted Beagle .... (And allot of cookies 🤣)

I feel compelled to add a warning about number 7. Beagles are very susceptible to neck and back problems. It's fun to play tug of war but not too much and your beagle always has to win. Too much tug of war can have painful consequences later in life.
My beagle was abused by a Hunter that used to burn his ears. we've had him 3 months..and he's still afraid of other people. Hope he gets over it!

I’m really enjoying and learning from your videos. I grew up around large working class dogs, so our beagle is a bit of a challenge for me, but I’m coming ‘round. BTW, the info on kongs and the amount of a puppy’s sleeping time was really helpful. We were worried that our Beasley was sleeping too much, but now we find it a blessing!

I’ve tied a long rope( strong twine) to stuffed Kong toy 🧸. Beagles respond to the slightest movement-drag toy along the stop and read his reaction while slightly tugging. You can go from hunt/chase to tug war. 🥊😁🔥

I don't understand how some people feed their beagles only on dog grains! My Winnie is the happiest when she sees me cooking for her, she's curious and impatient.
A happy beagle is one who has a friend next to him, not a master! A friend who dedicates time to him, takes him for a walk, plays with him, takes him in the company of other dogs, admires him for his extraordinary qualities and abilities - in other words, a man who loves him!

I’m considering getting a beagle. I watch this video on things that make them happy. The whole dog park idea would not be a problem. But a few things I seen you discuss. Play dates , family gatherings, and especially dance party’s. Those 3 things are way out of my league. I really don’t have friends and family so those 3 things would be out of the question.

My beagle is treat motivated when it comes to his play time but I think I am overfeeding him a bit too much of treats, and when it comes to his regular meal time, he does not want to eat anymore. He likes to eat his treat first then he eats his meal. please make a video on how to manage the treat intake. Thank you
Treats should not account to more than 10% of their food intake. Once your beagle learns a command, reduce the frequency of the treats.
My beagle is ver sick and not eating very much she dosen't much too she always sleep and i think she isdepressed because her bestfriend is lost and we can find her bff pls help me with these behavior

Beagles get a little naughty when young but they grow out of it. Beagles are happy to meet new people and act friendly all the time. They need the nap alot cause they burn off so much energy when playing outside. they bark when they get excited. Best dog ever for a family to adopt.

Can a 1 month beagle puppy stay with a 3 month pitbull

One month old is too young to be away from its mother. But as long as they are loved, pit bulls are always the sweetest most loving dogs. So when he's 5 months old and the beagle is 3 months old they should be fine. Just remember every dog has a different personality and they all need attention until they are used to the other. You'll know soon enough if they are friends or not.

@@topacybits3576 it appears like you have never known any pit bulls. Any dog can be made into a dangerous threat. They are all predators. But I have known many pit bulls and without the dog fighting training they are some of the sweetest most docile babies. And that even includes one who was rescued from Michael Vick. My real advice was only to not take a beagle away from his mother at 4 weeks.

My new beagle was adopted from a man that breeds hunting beagles . They said she wagged her tail too much and chopped it off at year and half had 3 owners. Wasn't performing on hunt meets and making them no money. adopted her Thurs before Thanksgiving last year.ondau they had plans of shooting her. She's scared to death of people. Only person that can pet her is me. She'll let 2 ladies I'm neighborhood pet her only inside our house. She doesn't bark at all or howl. Hears,a diseal truck on walks pulls me to a hiding spot cage feels safe. She was full of worms. 3 months to get rid off. Took her to doggie park and man brought pit bull took his muzzle off and he went straight for her biting her sidem now she skidish of other dogs.
I'm deeply sorry to hear about your Beagle's difficult past, but it's wonderful that she's now with someone who cares for her and is helping her overcome her fears and traumas.

Dude if my dog was digging and barking at stuff incessantly id have taken it back Day 2 tops . Never forget dogs are dogs not kids. Gotta train away bad behavior not tolerate it.

Number 13 : Never spayed your Beagle with traditional spay or castration. Choose OSS or Vasectomy instead. Beagle is active dog, they love to run - in fact my Beagle girl could run and run for almost an hour at the park with her friends everyday before she comes to me for have a drink. With all this fact all Beagles need their gonadal hormones intact to keep their weight, ligaments and bone healthy.
I thought it was all the same (new dog owner here). I would love to know more as my beagle is set to get his operation next month!
@@linedezainde OSS will leaving the ovaries, took the uterine and cervix. So your Beagle is sterile, can't get pyometra and uterine cancer. Of course there's a chance of breast tumour because of estrogen and progesterone, but we should remember that not all breast tumours are malignant and Beagle is not one of the breed that prone to have any cancers - in fact the recent prospective study does not shown any different on the risk of mammilary tumours which compared spayed and intact female Beagle. Both shown the number of zero. I choose OSS, because the risk of hip displasia, urinary incontinence, bone density, other cancers are decreased by estrogen and progesterone. Just like human's.
