No one is questioning the price rate in 5 star hotel ! But this seems to be better than 5atar hotels , with authentic dishes !
What you say is true. But you cant take offence to people talking about the cost of the food because you dont associate exorbitant costs with paatti. And let’s not forget that there are many many parambariya unavu and amma and paatti veettu food available in many places that DONT cost this much. A holistic south indian menu with very consciously organic (and home-grown) ingredients do not need to cost that much.
But like the man said in this video, they are creating a brand. And they are giving a panakkaara paati veedu experience only because not everyone’s paatti’s veedu looks like that or costs that much.

The food this woman has shown in the poorna bhakshanam is literally what you will eat jn most south indian restaurant. And definitely her description and way of eating is quite irritating to me cos she is trying to add an expression as if it is special, but in reality NOTHING shown here is unique. Very irritating.
And she says the meal is unlimited and you can ask for as many servings as you want, as if its unique to this place. HELLO! ASH AMMA, All south indian meals in all south indian restaurants is unlimited!
And what beautiful presentation is she talking about. You get the saaaaame arrangement of food in any south indian meals. Only difference is that everyone uses steel and this restaurant uses peengaan.
As for the ambience. Beautiful in many aspects but somewhere along they also got a bit confused with the seating arrangements because it looked very much northindian style in some ways. It did not give the feeling of anyone’s paatti’s veedu, even a rich paatti.
And as for the menu. This lady Ash made a big deal about vaeppam poo rasam… there are many many restaurants nowadays that give a lot more variety of rasams from old times.
This video is altogether irritating for me.

This place is real disaster. Any common man cannot go there. Then why name it paati veedu. Paati veedu solli they try to charge beyond anyones imagination. It's a steal. Cannot be a common mans reach.
He mentioned the word tamil so many times. And the interview is suppose to be in tamil. Interviewee went completely in English. Interviewer probably spoke only 60 to 70 percent. Whereas I have seen in Switzerland born and bred there never hesitate to speak in tamil.
I m sure the CEO speaks good tamil. Very upsetting .
