I use in an empty spray bottle, water, a few drops of dish washing soap, a few drops of any kind of oil, and lemon juice. It gets rid of aphids. BTW, Santi is growing very fast. And he's so beautiful

So relieved you have had the rains start as you needed them so badly. Wow you got a lot done, even though you had setbacks like the digger not coming. You have learnt so much Harriet from when you first started on the land, such a great achievement x
I have seen other homesteaders using silver washers or large magnets to help reduce parasites and such in water. On my allotment here in the UK, I dissolve salt in hot water then add flour once cool to make a paste. I paint this around my woodwork at ground level which thwarts slugs & snails. You can add lemon juice and other liquids into the mix to repel other pests.

I'm always amazed at how many different things you need to be able to do to run a smallholding. Growing crops, animal husbandry, renovating, running a household with a baby. I have a tip that might help you with growing trees. You may think that a thick layer of mulch is good for trees, because it holds the moisture in, but actually it isn't. Tree roots are made from living cells and they need oxygen in the top layer of soil. Composting wood chips consume that oxygen. Start by planting the tree so the top of the rootball is at ground level, so not too deep. Then mulch around the tree, but dig the mulch away just around the trunk so it doesn't touch the bark. Otherwise fungi from the mulch can infect the bark. The mulch layer should not be much more than 5 cm. As long as the tree is too small to provide shade for its own roots you can top up the mulch with a few more cm each year.

For your fencing, use pegs (for posts spots) and a line to demarcate your fence. Then replace your peg with a post one by one, as you cement then in. It will be straight then.

I'm not sure if this actually works, but a gardener who's planted many trees said he puts water into the bottom of the planting hole, which is square not round, a few hours before the tree goes in. It's apparently to allow the soil to absorb water, not suck it away from the tree roots. Sounds logical. 🤷
Love Ur videos. Such a great job. Try pruning the lemon tree, specially in the middle, so air can circulate and upright shuts as they will bear no lemons (generally) but use a lot of energy xxx

Those pipe knees are killing your water pressure as well. You do not need them and so it is cheaper without having them, just never use them. For less than 10 euro's you can buy a pipe-bending-spring and put the connectors on either side on with your press fitting tool. Less problem possibility, less cost, way more water pressure on your tab.

You have air in your pipes probably due to the system you are using regarding the tanks on the hill.
Wow I'm in awe of how much you have accomplished Harriet. I look forward to seeing the chicken enclosure & the outcome from the seeds. I wonder if planting more pest resistant/repellent flowers & herbs would help with the mosquito. I think herbs like peppermint, Rosemary..et help with flies. It’s was a “burned basque cheesecake”, not sure on the exact recipe he used but if you google that I believe they are quite popular!

Espero que podáis pasar de arar a solo desbrozar, la permacultura funciona bastante bien aunque veo que el suelo es bastante pedregoso, nosotros hemos pasado del arado al desbrozado y el suelo esta tomando un color precioso! Una pena lo de los arbolitos, nosotros hemos perdido 4 de los 16 que plantamos, toca plantar mas! y traer nuevos! Esta vez albañilería y fontanería! Madre mía! Ya estas preparada para el apocalipsis, sabes todo lo básico para sobrevivir jajaja

Please tell me you are not using the shower with the mould growing there :/ at the very least, you can spray the walls with full strength vinegar (as an alternative to bleach), wait for an hour, then scrub with a wire brush.
I have heard you can spray hydrogen Peroxide on mold.....no toxic fumes like bleach.
Maybe the problem is you get air in the pipes when your tank is empty or almost empty. Just tryint to help you... I am not sure but could be
