I watched the organizers video of the event. This is being held in Karlsruhe Germany, about half an hour NW of Stuttgart. This made me nostalgic, for my wife and I and five year old son lived an hour south of Stuttgart in the early seventies, while I attended classes for a year at Tübingen University. I just played two games over the board last Sunday for the first time in several decades, with a fellow retiree who lives in the retirement community where I live. He and I have agreed to play at least once a week! He is a retired Professor of German, to boot. I plan to tell him to watch the TH-cam videos of Agadmator, they will improve his chess. He took one game, and I took the second, BTW.

What's wrong with my unpopular view?
Israel 🇮🇱 is a hero and is freeing Palestine 🇵🇸 from Hamas by doing the exact opposite of the g word everyone accused Israel of - Israel is actually the saviour of the Palestinians.
      Matthew 5:11
People argue if Israel is or isn't committing genocide, but I've never seen anyone argue that Israel is doing the exact OPPOSITE of genocide. So, well, I could be wrong.
Israel won the 3rd arab war in 6 days, yet Hamas hasn't been beaten after months. I read if Israel didn't care about civilian casualties, even if they didn't nuke, then this war would've been over in weeks with hundreds of thousands in casualties.
In the 1st Arab war, the Arabs were supposed to be the saviour of the (Arab) Palestinians from the evil UN partition plan. Looks like Israel has done a better job of saving Palestinians in the last few months than the Arabs did in the last 75 years.
      Israel saves the Palestinians
      - politically from a dictatorial regime that steals from them and
      - morally by dropping leaflets & providing aid & corridors which the ww2 allies never did in Dresden.
Despite all the baseless accusations, the deaths incurred that they see on a daily basis and the ceasefire calls, Israel still perseveres in the prosecution of this war to defend not just Jews but Arabs and still provides aid instead of being spiteful like 'Oh you think we're evil after all the aid we've provided? Ok let's see how you like it when we turn off the aid.'
      Note:
      - Israel is condemned despite giving aid to the FOREIGN Palestinians.
      - No one cares when Hamas steals aid from its OWN people!
I wonder if this magnanimity goes beyond Judaism. I don't recall anything as explicit as this in the old testament. Like Jesus takes a step further to say 'love your enemies.' Israel has no obligation to save the Palestinians who voted Hamas into power. Yet Israel does!
I think this view might be unpopular because unfortunately Israel doesn't have that many vocal defenders who are non-Israeli & gentile, so Israel is just humbly saying as a matter of fact that they're not committing war crimes. They can't say further because if an Israeli or a Jew says so then it sounds arrogant (maybe like Numbers 12:3 if Numbers was written by Moses) - Israel is actually a SAVIOUR/HERO of the Palestinians - the exact OPPOSITE of a war criminal.
Israel saves despite being reviled. This is exactly what Jesus did! Jews are more Christian than Christians! I mean look what Pope Francis has said and even HASN'T said about this situation. Disappointing. Tsk tsk.
You'd think Pope Francis, who's read the new testament a million times while the Jews haven't, would bring this up but nada.
Or if anyone's already seen a view like this then please tell me where I can read about it.

And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said to her, Fear not; you shall have this son also. The name Benoni is of Hebrew origin and means "son of my sorrow". It comes from the noun ben (son) and the noun 'wn (trouble or vigor). The verb 'wn can mean sorrow, but is most widely translated as "potency" or "vigor". In this light, Benoni could mean "son of my strength"

Hi Agad! About your comment at 2:00- “Benoni in Hebrew means son of sorrow”, I’m an Israeli and Hebrew is my mother’s tongue. The direct translation of “Benoni” (same sound exactly) is “mediocre” 😂
Maybe it means “son of sorrow” in the bible (old Hebrew) but in modern Hebrew it just means “not too good, not too bad- it’s Benoni”

Great question! They are indeed comparable people so I've always thought of them paired up for this list just like Magnus Vs Wesley, Bobby vs garry, hans vs Hikaru, et al.
Actually, agad accepted 2 of my suggestions while levy blocked me on yt. So well I'm inclined to put agad on the good guys list.
I've been thinking hard about levy & agad.
So far I'm leaning towards levy evil & agad good, but I'm still undecided. Agad has unpopular political views just like many people on my good guys list, so probably agad's going on good guys list.
I'm just waiting for the slightest bit of anti-Hans, Bobby, Wesley sentiment from Levy. So far I've seen Levy was very neutral in the Hans Vs Magnus thing and even criticised Magnus on some points despite that Levy is such a huge fan of Magnus... Actually levy explained on lex Fridman that bringing up Magnus a lot is part of playing the yt algorithm to clickbait people and that bringing up Magnus promotes other players. And I see that eg in 2022Sep when Levy reviewed the 2019 WFRCC. Levy praised Wesley So a lot. I've seen this kind of praise as well for Amin Tabatabaei, Arjun, et al.
So idk. Maybe I'll end up comparing Agad with someone else and then levy with someone else.
If you got any reasons to suggest their alignment then please share!

@@nicbentulan as far as I know, Agad was always mature and neutral about Hans vs Magnus case whereas Levi strongly favoured not Magnus but Hikaru (indirectly supporting Magnus) in the beginning. Later, he also sounded pretty much neutral.
Other than that, I observed that both Levi and Antonio think greatly of Wesley So (heard both of them praise him many times at least when showing his games and at other times)
And, To be honest, I am also more inclined towards Agad than Levi because of his personality and content.

Similarly, Wesley So single-handedly ended Magnus' domination of world chess or Fischer random chess championships in 2019 (Fischer random chess by definition has no computers).
Kaguya is greater, but Miyuki is more talented.
This is what I was told in 2021 about why Wesley So's chessgames page is the top page in kibitzing :
"He has some very ardent fans, mainly from his native Philippines I think. I get the feeling that when countries haven't had a history of producing elite sportsmen, they really gravitate to the ones which they do produce. For example, Salah's Egyptian fanbase is pretty infamous. On its own, it's pretty harmless. There was a period however, where a section of his fanbase tried to mark Carlsen down as Wesley's big enemy, saying that he only rose to the top because he was a 'pampered goldfish' who got invites to elite tournaments early on whereas Wesley had to face the 'barracudas' in open tournaments. Think that's died down though and when goldfish and barracuda are brought up, its more often in ironic fashion."

Thank you again for your amazing comments and insights of the games. I don't know if it helps, but just to be precise: Benoni which in Hebrew is divided into two words - Ben Oni - means the son of my sorrow. Not just the son of sorrow.

I read the ‘Benoni’ opening got its name from an author Aaron Reinganum he studied and wrote about the opening which usually involves a pawn sacrifice by Black ‘Benoni’ does come from the Jewish language meaning ‘Son of Sorrow’ supposedly the Author Aaron suffered from Depression and to escape the melancholy he delved into studying and writing about the opening I wrote this before Agadmator actually said same thing because I saw where someone stated something on it so I looked it up

That meaning of Ben oni is actually writthen in the Holy Bible. It was given to him since the mother end up dying after giving birth to him. But then the father changed his name to Benjamin.

2nd: I believe Wesley is still the classical WFRCC while Hikaru is just the rapid WFRCC.
    Q1
Why weren't the 'slow rapid' games in the 2019 wfrcc considered classical when they are 60min games and the minimum for classical is 60min?
    Q2
Why are the 2022 WFRCC games considered 'slow rapid', as in the same category for the 2019 wfrcc 60min games, when they are actually 32.5min games?
    What I understand is
    (0,10) = Blitz
    [10,60) = rapid
[60,120) = classical but unrated if so and so conditions
    [120,infinity) = classical

3rd: What's it like in a parallel universe where 9LX is standard chess, and Garry really is Garry chess?
1 - People are praising Wesley So, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Bobby Fischer & Anatoly Karpov. Agadmator & Levy are talking about Wesley & Nepo all day long.
2 - Garry really is Garry chess here.
Switch Bobby & Garry dates of birth. (Bobby's last name here is probably Nemenyi.) Meanwhile Garry Kasparov invented something strange called 'chess1' aka 'Kasparov Deterministic' where you have only 1 SP. Garry quits the 1975 classical WCC Vs Anatoly Karpov, is arrested in Russia (instead of Japan), immigrates to Iceland and dies in 2008. 1975 is not a big loss. In fact, it's better because Bobby Fischer takes over. 1978 is Bobby vs Anatoly match of the century in Baguio, the Philippines! Idk what happens in 1981, but then 1984 Eugene Torre wins the candidates and faces Anatoly/Bobby! In 1976, I guess Eugene still beats Anatoly. Either Anatoly or Bobby. (Trivia: In our world, Eugene almost beat Bobby in 1992.)
3 - Bobby is still alive in 2024. Bobby, Anatoly, Sergey Karjakin, Wesley, Nepo are on Lex Fridman's podcast while Magnus, Garry & Hikaru aren't.
4 - In the 2019 inaugural world Kasparov Deterministic chess championship (WKDCC), Magnus beats Wesley in 3 classical chess1 games in a row in but no one cares. Fabi is still the top 4 in the 2019 world chess1 championship but the top3 is now Liren. Nepo has never played a chess1 game, just as in our world Liren has never played a recorded 9LX game before 2024Feb.
5 - Wesley/Nepo doesn't quit the 2023 classical WCC. Nepo/Wesley wins 2022 candidates and no one cares about Liren. Wesley So Vs Ian Nepomniachtchi is the biggest rivalry in chess, far exceeding as well as succeeding the next biggest rivalry Bobby Fischer vs Anatoly Karpov, like Better Call Saul to Breaking Bad. Wesley, & Nepo are both considered GOATs along with Bobby & Anatoly. There's no distinction between GOAT & MTOAT. There's a slight bias towards Wesley because Wesley is Bobby's nephew.
6 - Chess' popularity in the Philippines & Norway are inverted.
    6a
In our world, Bobby had radio interviews in the Philippines. In this world, Garry has radio interviews in Norway.
    6b
Then Prospero Pichay Jr is imprisoned and the Philippine chess federation is free from corruption. But Wesley is still American. Huhuhu. Oh, in this reality, Magnus' parents are evil and then Magnus gets adopted by religious parents who are friends of Garry, so it's like Magnus is Garry's nephew. The 2019 WKDCC is still like a pseudo - Bobby vs Garry, and it's billed as battle of thei nephews.
7 - But still no one actually really cares about chess1 because no one wants to have a headache over studying the same boring SP again and again. Also its top players Magnus & Garry are still cheaters. But well ok maybe in rapid & blitz chess1 is picking up. (Same as our world. Fiiiine Magnus is right about keeping regular chess for rapid & blitz.) So there's still a 2022 rapid world chess1 championship, half a century after the 1972 REGULAR match of the century. This time Hans Niemann wins beating Hikaru Nakamura on tiebreaks. This time Hikaru accuses Hans, but Hans still sues both Hikaru & Magnus. Ches***m is not sued and is just as good as lichess. Hans is still considered the next Bobby Fischer / Anatoly Karpov while Wesley & Nepo are still considered the current Bobby / Anatoly.
8 - In 2024Feb, FIDE still cancel their 2024 WKDCC, but Wesley & Nepo host a rapid chess1 championship but don't invite Magnus & Liren. Hans isn't a cheater but has still has beef with St Louis Chess Club and so doesn't play that due to scheduling conflicts, but Magnus & Hans are still going to eventually defend the, resp, classical & rapid world chess1 championships.
9 - In general, chess doesn't have that many cheaters, cheating incidents, baseless accusations, etc and has very little corruption, discrimination, treason, politics, etc. FIDE is hailed as 1 of the cleanest sports/gaming organisations. Chess is an olympic sport. Bobby/Anatoly are FIDE officials.
10 - Tiebreaks are settled by armageddon w/ auction rather than lower time controls, so Sergey & Fabi still lose to Wesley/Nepo in resp 2016 & 2018. But no one calls for change of tiebreaks to rapid time controls. Lol. Also, pre-arranged draws are so rare.
11 - Sergey isn't banned because Sergey only privately supports Putin because chess doesn't make people go insane unless they the players want to stick to 1 SP only, like Garry.
12 - Actually here, Bobby has very neutral feminist enlightened political views and is a true patriotic Jew & American ( in politics in addition to still being such a patriot in chess ) while respectfully criticising both US & Israel along side condemning Osama bin Laden / Al-Qaeda & Ismail Haniyeh / Hamas. So Bobby is still against Iraq invasion.
13 - Most importantly, no one cares about Garry, Magnus, Hikaru or Liren. Specifically, in this world, they care less about them as compared to Wesley, Nepo, Bobby & Anatoly in our world.
    14 - Paradise.
    ---
    Ok back to reality:
    ---
PLEASE agad it's been 4 months! 2023 USCC - Atousa almost beat Carissa Yip, the eventual winner!
Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.
It's Hikaru's (rapid WFRCC) WIFE vs Wesley's (classical WFRCC) GIRLFRIEND.
