Must have "mods" for me, handlebars (1.5" - 2" total rise), adjustable or short reach brake lever such as TKI, tunnel bag, Sled Treds console knee pads, and bumpers front/rear. Although on future sleds I may forego the bumpers. I too love a hot meal, but am fine these days with just placing food between the side panel and stock exhaust, since I prefer to just run the stock exhaust.

The knee pads are a good idea. I’d like to give the heated brake lever a try.

@@JasonCaville I'll be honest, both my wife and I have had the console pads on our last two sleds, and we will not ride without them anymore. Even though we both wear knee guards/braces, they are like heavenly pillows for the knees ha ha. Especially nice on downhills
I like that heated lever, but not the price. Just a nice plastic one (as strong as stock) with good adjustment range would be nice. I have tried 3D Logik, but it snapped off the very first time rolling the sled over from a stuck, and the snow wasn't even hard. I replaced it with their shorty aluminum one, but am not a huge fan of the design, so have gone back to stock for now. Will probably end up putting the 3D Logik back on or get a TKI. The problem with the 3D Logik design is that it's straight. When adjusted in close to the bar where I like it, while pulling it in with my index finger, the lever begins pushing against my middle finger knuckle before the brake is fully actuated or the track locks up. This could be mitigated with a bit of curve in the lever. I thought with it being short, it should miss my middle knuckle if the brake is relocated inward enough toward the center of the bars. However that is not the case. Another design issue, at least on mine, is that the master cylinder makes air leak sounds during actuation. Not sure if the lever allows the piston to back out too far, or does not depress the piston squarely. The dealer actually replaced the MC reservoir and lid under warranty and the air "squishing" sound didn't go away until I got the sled back and it finally occurred to me to just try a different lever and the sound went away...lol. Apparently the reservoir or lid was defective though, because the dealer witnessed leakage before replacing, and I observed moisture/crystallization inside the reservoir.
My wife has a TKI lever on her 24, and we both had TKI on our Axys sleds. The TKI lever sits nice and close to the bar for comfortable use during steep sidehills and such. They are aluminum though, so it gets cold when constantly running a finger on there. I am also concerned that with the extra travel in the lever of the 24, if it might end up too close to the bar when fully pulled in during operation. Hopefully we'll get to find out soon ha ha. Sorry for the long post, like talking sleds...lol.

@@JasonCaville I like that it’s plastic (but tough), and I like it’s ergonomics better than the stock Axys lever. However it’s still too far from the bar for me. I’m 5’-6” with pretty small hands. It might be my moto and mtb background, but I’m pretty particular about bar/controls set-up.
