The 2025 Polaris sleds have some much needed improvements, but that comes at a crazy price increase.

@gymkhanadog Do you know who the CURRENT president is? I'll give you a hint, he can't ride a bike, he has a hard time with stairs, he gets lost on stage, he reads everything from a teleprompter, he can't put a sentence together by himself, he's deemed himself unfit to remember anything, and he sniffs little girls, sold out this country to the ccp, and is running it into the dirt. Please wake up.
When do they release the recall list 🤔
Thank you for this comparison of the prices. I was considering a snowcheck for 2025, but after seeing this, I'll find a nice used one with low miles.
I was considering one too but it’s no longer affordable to buy new
Great channel!!! I just picked up a new 2023 9R 146 with a 2.6 track, 7S display, aftermarket front and rear bumpers, spare belt and cover for 17500 with 2 year warranty from a dealer in Cochrane . I was about to snow check a 2025 9R. Glad I didn’t. I do t mind a brand new 2 year old sled. I feel I got a fantastic deal.
Very nice!
$27k - This is just getting stupid ridiculous! The manufacturers are going to price themselves right out of business
27k in moose syrup not in American bald eagles
Awesome video boy Polaris wipes out the competition again
So true on the prices, I bought the Mach z back in 22, I thought it was crazy to spend almost $20,000 on a sled, now just 2 years later to get basically the same sled it would cost me $2000+ to replace it, back in 1998 I bought a brand new Mach 1 , paid $8300 for it, these days for that money you get a 55hp mxz neo+ ...lol... it will definitely be a buyers market next season as dealers try to dump their leftover 23-24 sleds...
$30k for a stock sled that’s going to spend a month over winter in the shop for warranty work 😂
I bought the same sled in 2016 in January for $11k USD with 0% financing for 5 years. Sold it in 2022 for $9300. It is absolutely insane what new sled pricing is at now.
Iv been saying for years pre ordering sleds from any of the manufacturers is a waste of money. Wait until midwinter to buy a snowmobile for fraction of the cost. Or a left over like u mentioned in video.
Got my snowcheck 2018 also from lethbridge honda. Economy was getting slow and someone backed out of the deal. I said I didnt want the fancy display and they told me this one didnt have it, later on they realized it did have that display but they weren't going to charge me for it due to we agreed on the price (I now cant be without it.) At the time it was like a 900$ option. Honestly I'm keeping this sled forever I've been priced out of the market, congratulations to those who can buy these toys for the two or so months of descent riding.
Thanks for shout out to LHC I'll remember that next time your in.
Anytime!! 👍👍
@JasonCaville might need to find you some LHC get up for your videos.
It wasn’t until end that I figured out you were talking Canadian dollars. It’s still expensive in the states, but the numbers are a little smaller. 😳
Yup, need to look for better deals, usually found in one year layovers.
Some great deals out there right now 👍
Carl's Cycle (Boise, ID) has a throttle block from Zbroz that prevents/reduces icing.
Thanks for the g ood content. If you think prices are high in the States, try ordering a new sled in Japan this year. Off the charts bonkers.
27k for a machine I paid 14k for in 2019. Thanks Canada, thanks world.
For anyone who is wondering, the steel driveshaft is 1000% the best change they made on the new sleds…way stronger than the old POS aluminum driveshaft.
I’m a flatlander and I talked to my dealer today about the xcr 9r it’s priced on the website at 21500 my dealer said 19950 no freight because the Polaris manufacture is only 2 hours from my house tax only which is 5% here in North Dakota which brings the price to about an even 21000 bucks, I really want one but I have a 23 xcr 850 I snowcheck, it only has 730 miles on it no 7s , I’m trying to talk myself out of the 25 by getting a 7s for the sled I have and telling myself it’s only 50 more ccs, and waiting for any improvements next year, but apparently those improvements run 2-3 k , I don’t know , my wife needs a sled though lol
Munster finger throttle, mine hasn't iced up for the 2 seasons - 1100 miles, maybe just luck?
Yep it’s solid
The pricing is making real difficult to continue in this sport. For a guy like me in the Midwest it is tough to spend that much on something I might get 7 - 10 days a year using. They are just as ridiculous in price here in the states - don't envy you guys north of the boarder.
I was a Polaris guy for 35 years. Last year I bought a SkiDoo. I am NOT going back to Polaris. SkiDoo has over engineered Polaris by miles
The solution for the throttle sticking is an aftermarket throttle block, I was having major icing issues on mine and installed a 3D logik block, haven’t had a problem yet.
I’ll look into it. Thanks!
Been happy with my mvm throttle block, no icing issues.
Great Video, i like to see the 9R in the VR1 with the DYNAMIX suspension....if you cant order one. would you be able to plop one in. would it fit? THANKS GUYS!
I have a 2023 9r and will probably skip 2024 model and wait another year and bye a used 2025 ,the 2024 is a waste of money in my opinion compared to the upgrades on the 2025 ..very satisfied with my 2023,1300km now and no problem so far, original sparkplug and drive belt
Good video, Do you know if they updated rails for 24s?
@@nombrThanks! The 2024 Khaos and Pro now use the same rail. The rail tip-up angle is somewhere between the 23 Khaos and the 23 Pro.
@ ok thanks for the quick response man, do you know if there was a recall for the rail tips that the 24s didn’t roll out with from factory
No problem! Yes there was a recall. I posted a video about it recently 👍
So glad i dont have to buy mountain sleds lol. All trails here. But you are right though. My first SC was a SB PRO X 800 in 2017. Paid 11,5 OTD.....lol prices are just nuts feel bad your the average rider these days
You are right, the prices are crazy. Is it to help the dealers liquidate 23-24 inventory, maybe🤷🏼. Funny is the SP being the affordable but its a downgraded Khaos at the price of a 23-24 Khaos price. Also versatibily, they should have kept the 146x2.6 optional as entry in honor of the dead SKS it replaces.
I'm curious why sleds still use a "wired" throttle? I can't think of a car/truck from the last 5 years that still uses a cable, everything has an actuator motor on the throttle body.
I’d say it’s easier to service and lighter weight.
Hover over the VERY little asterisk, and it states that the price includes Freight and PDI for a total of $1340 ... pricing is up but it's up $1491. Pricing did not include the fees last year and my dealer does not charge them.
Good point! Yes a lot of dealers will have a lower charge for the frieght and pdi. The MSRP on the 9R went up about $1900 plus GST, so close to $2000.
Any sled cash gone
I've heard guys spraying chain lube or a thicker lube down the throttle cable!
Bought a 2024 9r 7S series 9 for under 21k last month
My 2020 SKS 800 was 13 500$. Was going to buy a second sled but not for 27k. This is getting outta hand
New clutch covers, new clutch bolts....
That’s a fricken crazy price
Yes. Not cool
I just built an 850 boost khaos and mine came out to $23,500 and I even added a skid plate
US dollars?
Sleds are already priced out of control. I bought a new sled for 24 but think honestly that its my LAST sled. Between prices and low snow ive about had it.
I'm considering a 2025 9r 146" build comes in significantly cheaper than the 155/165 sleds.
Like a wake up call?
The price of goods isn't going "UP", government involvement in the market is making the value of your currency to go "down". QE to infinity and beyond!
Hummm is it really worth money 🤑 answer is no keep my 2023
You forgot about new fox shcoks
Ah, not on the mountain sleds!
Yes they are just snow-checked 2 9r with iqs3
@@iohteneratateniongoodleaf1513 ah I assumed you were talking about DYNAMIX
If you have a one or two year old sled, then you don’t *need* to buy a new one. Why even do that?
It’s not like we buy new cars every year because our brand new car has 3,000 miles on it.
Buyer beware, the 2024 Polaris RMK and khaos mountain sled have this problem. Polaris is engineering in manufacturing quality control is going down hill
2024 RMK and Khaos sleds do not include rail caps, and the hyfax extends beyond the end of the rail beam. Without a rail tip, the track clips can hammer on the front of the exposed hyfax, causing issues with hyfax retention and/or rail tips stabbing through a track window.
There are many videos on TH-cam with riders having the hyfax torn off.
Polaris issued a warranty update and are providing rail caps for the 2024s. 👍
@@JasonCaville thanks, I was thinking of getting a Polaris 2024 but I’ve been finding out that there’s been several problems and clutches exploding on other engine models etc…. I think it might be best to look to a different company. The snowmobiles are getting real expensive. I’m thinking of a used one. I won’t have much into it if something goes wrong I’ll just fix it and still have way less money than a new sled would cost.
Another reason why I’m not too happy with Polaris, when I called them they told me that customers opinions on parts that they think are bad or needed may not be bad or needed. I asked them why they did not put the rail caps on and that this was not good. They told me that’s my opinion and that they may not be bad And the recaps may not be needed. I have nothing more to say to them.
I’m looking at ski Doo, arctic cat, Yamaha, Yamaha seems to be the most reliable based off reviews and research.
@Kelli-c6i I fully recommend Polaris sleds based on how much fun I’ve had on them over the years. I’ve also had great luck reliability wise. Polaris warranty is also great, especially if you have a good dealer to work with (Mountain Toys in Cochrane, and Lethbride Honda for example). I’ve never had as much fun on a sled as I have with the Khaos 9R 155 and the Khaos Boost 155.
I’ve only spent a relatively short amount of time on cats, Yamahas and skidoos. I can’t wait to ride a Catalysy 858. Supposed to be lightweight and great response.
Hope that helps!
Geezus 27k? That's what a new car cost not too many years ago!
Before you snow check a new 2025 you might want to check for snow. Be gutted to spend 20k for a new sled and have a season like we had out west this season. Just sayin
Yeah, i think i will stick with my 2020 850 SKS until it falls apart or the tank explodes. Paid under 12k for it as a brand new. The price is nowadays at least as high as BRP if not more, but the built quality is same shit as it has always been so can't really find any reason to buy polaris anymore.
when i build a 2025 9r its 23,000 not 28000
Where are you? I’m in Canada

@@laytonjones5779 The exchange rate is not great at the moment for us
Great sled...now with the weight reductions you only have to carry 4 A-arms with you 😂😅😅
Just wheelie over everything. A-arms like new
Yes the price hikes ridiculous but.......maybe just maybe the consumer should stop buying at these prices?!?! As long as we pay the prices, they will continue to raise them.
If you just fix the clutch squealing and throttle and throw a 9R motor in it no need to trade
look on the bright side, with the prices of sleds there wont be as many people tracking up the fresh pow haha
One way to think of it 😂
I am not buying shit and till prices come way down
I’m not buying a new Polaris until they fix the non-ethanol problem
REMEMBER THIS IS CANDAIAN $$
Lol dude, that's a glitch on the 7S. Go talk to your dealer quit spreading fake news.
My 2024 7S doesn’t have wifi and it’s a pain to sync with my phone. The 2025 Snowcheck website had several bugs and in the video I said Polaris needs to update their system.
Not that in the build tool... Bluetooth tethering worked fine for me.@@JasonCaville
@@tillsonburgindoormx I should probably read the instructions
That desire for that 7S display was super expensive 😳
The whole new sled it came with was a bonus!
Whos buying this? Even young guys making bad decisions wont get the financing?
A little antifreeze on your cables will solve your icing problems
Going to try that!
Buy used, save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Yes. I should do that.
