    The walk way you entered with the arches was once the dance hall where coco entertained Churchill. It was all white . It has really decayed so much since I saw it many yrs ago . Such a shame . You did a great job 👏 . I was happy for you when you lady 😅

    Am I the only one hypnotized by this video? I have been in a heart palpatating trance, pausing and zooming in...trying to examine still shots of the books, the writing on them and the sewing machine with the drawers. I zoomed in on the bathroom and tub, imagining someone sitting in the bath tub looking out the window.. imagining how cold when he said how nice it would be on a cold Scottish night (or something like that lol) to have that fireplace roaring.I even looked up the skis. They look more modern. That company was around for 100 years so since 1920? Anyway.. this is my dream, my passion to do what he's doing. Thank you for this video!!!

    16:25 The arabic writing is ayatul kursi it's believed to protect you from harm whilst leaving the house or before you go to sleep if you recite it. It also protects you from jinn (demons) who like to hang out in abandoned and dirty places. It's a passage from the quran.

    Wish I could with u get into Falcon Liar , Valentino’s last home he build . Love your videos . Love the “ glamour “ of those days . To visualize Coco coming down the stairs or running through the corridors with Veuve Cliquot glass in hand in her 20 s style dress . Ooooh . To be , walk , stand where Valentino stood . Hmmm .

    Though it's been stripped out a lot, the stove, fireplaces and other items left throughout the house are amazing.
    The fire truck, baths and the actual way it was built into the Rock is cool.

    @ 29:20 to think that beautiful old sewing cabinet and machine could be what CoCo created her early hats and clothing on. What a magic piece of history you discovered. It’s such a shame what’s survived is left to be destroyed.

    The video cassettes say “karachi” and it is a state in Pakistan. Also the arabic writing, chili powder and stuff maybe proves that a muslim/pakistani family once lived there.

    I’m just wondering why places like this are left for years and years only to let them decay. You would think they would be sold or donated or some thing. 🌸

    • @Ravensroost81
      @Ravensroost81 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Sandra Weiler ..a lot of these places are inherited by family who end up fighting over what to do with the property and it remains in undecided and disputed limbo for years. Or it lies in a trust which stipulates it can not be sold, and trustees no longer have the means to maintain the place. Other times they belong to the super rich who prefer to live in central jet set locations with only the finest of modern convenience money can buy. They don't want to be bothered to live out in the stix, and continuously sink money into renovating an ancient old place, but also know that no matter what state the buildings are in, the land will never loose value.

    • @teejaymiller4983
      @teejaymiller4983 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      One urban explorer I watched said that some folks who own these places find that it's easier and less expensive to purchase a new home than to restore the old mansion and recover the antiques. If I were wealthy, I could understand that to an extent, but it seems like recovering old photos and family heirlooms would be a top priority. It also seems like there is a huge opportunity for a business to offer a service whereby they go through the home appraising the most valuable antiques, offer an amount to the owner to purchase and remove them, then sell them, hopefully for a profit. You could even make a TV show around it, like a high end American Pickers.

    Oh boy...that was pretty tense! Thanks for braving it for us, its absolutely fascinating to see! I figure it is pretty risky going into places like that, rotting floors and crumbling stonework aside, the chance of someone taking potshots at trespassers must surely exist too!

    Once the property goes on sale, if the wrong people get hold of an old building like this with history, the building is effed. (If you know what i mean). Shame really,imagine this building being a hotel? Wow. But, saying that too much damage. Not many people are looking for a building with a huge repair bill. But, you got an investigated it. hi, i know you went back after this vid and a lot was take'n Sometimes the family or who bought the estate Auctions items off, they sit there until say a business man or woman or mogel or anyone really who can aford part of Coco Chanels world....
    random people without authority just can't pull up and grab huge pieces of items all willey nilley and not get caught. so this is a nice vid to see again Ty and keep up the good fun

    Hello from Florida USA I am a new subscriber. I watched a preview of this video that I found on the internet at the end of an article I was reading. I am so glad I did. I too have a passion for history and I understand the “feels” of knowing or wondering what happened or who was there at a site such as the Coco Channel mansion. Some people don’t get that and I’m glad I’m in the club that does.
    I must say your opening was mesmerizing and the best I’ve yet seen. It was haunting seeing the faint image of CChannel while roaming her “love nest.” Now I need to know more.
    One last thing, I don’t know if it’s a female vs male thing but I need to see the dishes, vases, art etc more close up. I’m very interested in those things and no one so far shows these things closely to any extent. Oh well...
    So, you have a new subscriber and I’m looking forward to watching more of your explores. Sincerely...

      vickie campbell I thought he may not have wanted to disturb too much or make a noise but I wanted to see the pottery too! There was also some clothing in the suitcase and I was desperate to see if it was old designer looked like animal fur too which might’ve been real as it could’ve belonged to CC!

    Childcraft was a set of children’s books, kind of like an encyclopedia set for kids, with articles on history etc but also poetry & stories. I used to love them as a child! I believe they were from the 60s, and I thought they were only American.

    This was awesome, & I too think about what an object had been through or if it could speak, the things it would tell us from their time of glory. Oh & at 17:35 I heard a creepy voice say "yes it is" 😳 the whole time I kept checking for paranormal happenings lol I enjoy watching this. Thank you for sharing & I'm glad you didn't get caught lol
