I love how you guys manage to catch the most convincing paranormal type activity and yet the paranormal channels can't be this convincing 😅 great video, it was a really interesting one.

I saw the shadow person, it was stood at the banister then walked to the right, very clear you captured more than most paranormal teams do
Great explore loved it but it was sad too.
So obvious there was a “person” up there, but where could they have gone. So much here to be reclaimed, saved. Glass, woodwork, furniture even the “Andy wall” under the stairs!, natural art.

Hey guys love this one especially the DISEMBODIED VOICE you caught @ 12:10 just when you say this is the washroom innit, Andy says 'yeah' then straight after there is a female voice saying 'yeah'...and that spooky person up the stairs, definitely haunted great capture!

I think Andy moved the objects by his feet, look at the floor and then listen when Andy walks. Its sounds like a metal frame moving on tile floor. But it is still very convincing evidence.

This is the most convincing ghost recording I have ever seen. I have watched it many time in slow motion. Something really odd is that you can see a shiny thing appear at the feet as if there's a shoe buckle or perhaps a clog iron at the toes?
I think its a young lad in there and the shiney thing is a logo off his trainers or tracksuit, as they went upstairs he made his way back and left, probably knows the place like the back of his hand.

See this is more convincing than most ghost videos cos, your channel isn't even about ghost so it's not even like you have constant pressure to deliver the goods. I mean, what was that? The only thing I can think of is an unusual shadow cast via the torch as you look upwards. But that's a bit of a stretch since there's nothing visible to cast the shadow and it moves behind the ceiling. So any shadow cast would surely move along the celling if you was causing it
So I dunno, this is unironically the most interesting ghost video there is
I worked in a care home years ago and we had rooms with two people in they used to get a slightly cheaper rate than a single occupancy. The thing in the laundry room is a roller iron for doing sheets.
The shadow at top of stairs was very creepy.
That was the ghost of a deceased resident I reckon, you would of heard a person trying to creep away. Gave me shivers!!!

There are so many bad people in the care work. When I was in hospital there was a lady who would kick patients. Especially if someone is have a ptsd flashback or dissociating she would kick you because you "weren't doing what your told" and in my current care home there's a staff member, senior might I add, who told me I'll never be loved because of my scars, shes collected a minimum of £200 off residents, she doesn't pay attention when doing meds, she will be in her personal phone talking loudly and ignore residents even when they need help, she helps herself to food before all the residents have there's, she bullies other staff, she slapped my bum and even now she has not been fired. She hasn't been in for about a year apparently because of health but she's still on the sign in form and when she comes back I'm getting one of those secret cameras catch her in the act and either contact cqc and then if they don't do anything I will go to the police.
I hope you can catch her doing something.

I am 46🩷 I know what you are saying how cruel a person can be to another person once I cuddled my mum a little bit hard and she said oh that hurts and I said sorry mum I didn't realise people that get old get dainty and they feel pressure more on their skin it must have been awful for them 😞 it's disgusting how these people were treated I also feel sorry for the family's 😔😢 rest in peace 🕊️ no one can hurt you now 🙏
I worked in a residential care home for 10 years until it recently closed,I lived in the flat above a few years aswell,this is so sad to see it’s a wreck. Also almost wet myself laughing at Andy reading handover book, weird as it sounds it would be so funny to see a whole video of Andy reading the handover book,some of the stuff he would say..😂😂 no doubt about it there’s spirits in that care home a million percent. Wow massive well done done on the jump in subscribers, I have all the faith in you both!

I'm glad you replayed the section of video with that figure moving, as I'd rewound and slowed down that section myself and couldn't see anything. But when you replayed it the figure seemed obvious.
With regard to the upstairs rooms with two beds in, I wonder if they could have been staff sleepover rooms rather than for residents.
On an earlier video I've seen a room that had a load of blue mattresses in so I suspect they would have gone on top of the blue hard bed bases you saw. Everything would have been wipe down material and easy to clean and disinfect in the event of any 'accidents' in bed.

Timestamp 20:54 just as you round the corner in doorway, you pan to the right looking at a door that is cracked opened. If you watch their is something that moves in that opening of that doorway crack. U can see something moves backwards behind tbe door. Watch the opening between door jam and door and something moves away from it. Watch over and over to get a good sense of the movement. Great video

Just want to say a massive thank you for doing this amazing building, you two are by far my favourite explorers to watch.
Also what an amazing find, coming across a paranormal experience the way that you did, whatever the spirit was wasn't afraid to let you know they were watching you, and as a medium I can confirm it was real, I was getting information of a spirit from the 1940's way before it was the care home you would know it as today. I believe at the time it was a women's maternity hospital.

Oh my gosh, I saw the person up at the top of the stairs right away!! Spooky!! It was an amazing place at one time. Except for the basement or cellar. The mold…🤢🤢🤢. Good explore though. I worked in care for over twenty years and its so sad to see a home go like that and also how the patients was treated I hope they got better homes before it shut down xx

Matt and Andy, I just came across your video and I am enthralled with it and I intend to watch your other videos. As someone has already said, the fact that you are not ghost hunters adds a level of genuineness to this. I am sure there is a rational explanation such as someone was actually watching you, and they knew the place better than you so they could hide easily. From the time that you saw the legs to the time you walked up the stairs to that level, the owner of those legs could have easily slipped back the other way and wend out to the balcony and hid somewhere. I am not a believer in ghosts, and I am always analysing people's ghost stories to come up with a rational explanation. Love your work guys, I am now a subscriber. I wish I was back in the UK so I could join you on your adventures!

I worked here in 78/79 when it was a Childrens Orphanage ran by the Salvation Army , Elmswood House was always spooky , such a shame to see it in this condition .

I'm new to the channel, I heard the voice at 12:10 and there can't be any other explanation for the figure at the top of the stairs. If there was another way down from the top floor then yeah fair enough but there isn't. Very brave for staying in there afterwards!

Nice catch. We had black mold in our rental and didn’t know it for years.when the kids started seeing things, and we started hearing things, we went to the dr. He said black mold could cause hallucinations! Wow! Caught a hallucination on video! Lol nice catch guys! Gave me shivers!

I left Liverpool quite some time ago, but I grew up close enough to this place. I wish I could remember more about it. IIRC, it was being run by two brothers and the council shut it down about five or six years ago. I don't even remember if it was a care home when I lived in the area. Anyway, eerie place that was once a beautiful building. It's shame to see it in that state. And yeah, that was definitely another person you saw at the top of the stairs. I don't believe in ghosts or paranormal stuff at all. So my guess is that it was another explorer or perhaps a homeless person seeking shelter in an empty building. I've noticed in most of these urbex vids, that if one group of explorers bumps into another, you tend to greet each other and have a chat. Perhaps this guy, who appeared to be alone, was just freaked out by there being two of you? If it was a homeless guy, they'd be even more freaked out by the sudden appearance of two burly blokes in his shelter. Either way, that's freaky shit and you're mad brave for not just booking it out of there as soon as that happened.
I went about 4/5 months ago and we heard the exact same in the same spot you did! This has FREAKED ME OUT!!! We felt like someone was watching us and it’s probably that!

The only thing i would suggest is maybe having a small mic, especially on Andy because he usually talks away from the camera or from across a room.
I’ve been here twice, first time I went a loud noise happened across the room! It was either the roof caving in or a chair being thrown! Not quite sure... 2nd time it wasn’t as bad!

I was going to say earlier, I hope Matt & Andy were not going to start this ghost hunting lark because everyone is at it and most are fake but I saw that with my own eyes and it is not explainable, there is no way out on the right of that landing. Great catch lads.

@@l.a.picasa Well, newsflash... It wasn't a ghost, lol. You can quite clearly see the reflective surface of the footwear. The camera cuts away and the person runs away as the camera steadies and comes upstairs. This house is 15 minutes walk away from me, it had people in it regularly until recently.
@@GilbertSyndrome I didn't mention 'ghost' a single time. I simply asked for an explanation as to where the person went in 5 seconds without a sound at all. They walked to the right and there's a WALL THERE and a tiny a** window that even an average sized young teenager would struggle getting through, let alone any adult. I'm not disputing the location of this place or the fact that people go there regularly.
These guys have not said one way or another what they think that was or what happened. They are completely puzzled and said they can't explain it.

@@l.a.picasa Well if you're in any way implying a supernatural origin then I'm afraid you're going to need some better evidence. There are certainly no ghosts in this video, but you're welcome to believe whatever you like...
The camera isn't steady, nor is it locked on anything between them seeing the person and them ascending the stairs, in this time the person quite easily heads back down the small corridor. Like I said, check out the reflective surface of the shoes, this is clearly a physical human. The house was constantly being roamed by people, so much so that the police began making many visits to the property soon after this video was recorded.

15:10 same woman’s voice sounds like she laughed after you talked about your third fear the cotton wool
19:32 black shadow with a light on stairs moves to the right on the stairs, although you move the camera downwards so whatever it was could have turned around and gone the other way before you looked back up, they could have run backwards and then vanished before you run up the stairs. Not sure if it’s a spirit or a runaway homeless person. They could have escaped you were too slow you should have run straight up while keeping your eyes on the black figure!
I think it was more likely a homeless person, it also looked like they had a torch in there hand. If you screenshot it they have a torch in there hand. Undecided if you caught a spirit or a runaway 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
20:40 a woman’s voice sounded like she said “Yeah” just before you said I heard a woman’s voice then as well. It was quiet but with headphones on you can hear it
23:55 a man said “0ne, two, three” straight after you were talking about how many people were in the room.
I watch this video over and over and just can’t explain that shadow man! Whoever or whatever it was, perhaps they just need some prayers to get the hell out of there! Awful place! I am a hospice worker and it would be so awful to see people treated so badly....so sad...

After being “stored” in a Nursing (no) Care Home by the NHS as I recovered from my Stroke (not recommended). I confirm, they are absolutely shite places no-one will put a loved-one if they knew what they’re really like. Mine was over £800 per week in 2019, yet the NHS paid £660 per week (what a bargain!). They do EVERYTHING on the cheap and the “food” is abysmal in Fly-sized portions.

I 're watched Sunday's explore in this place and it's definitely deteriorated since this was filmed. Those legs at the top of the stairs still freak me out, someone did say that it was a homeless person and they could've walked back when you briefly pointed the camera Dow the stairs and said you felt like something was down there, but like you pointed out Andy would've seen him from where he was standing, and there was turf all over the floor you would've heard them walking, I believe it was something paranormal I don't give a damn what anybody says

I have worked in care all my working life. And have seen some horrid situations like neglect of clients which I whistle blew on. Nobody deserves to be mistreated. That home has now closed .
Back in the 80s I worked in a home which had 4 beds in a room. The previous owner was the emperor of Ethiopia.
It is so so sad to hear that these sort of things happen in care homes. You are supposed to trust the people to look after your relatives not harm them

£1000 per month!!!!!! Try a week! Just a nurse working in a nursing home in Cornwall we charge £1700 a week although that is for complex mental health but the going rate for a nursing home is around £1200 a week

Brilliant building and period features, would look incredible restored, terrible feeling of sadness on the upper floor though. And I have never seen mould like that in my life! It almost looked like it had began to intelligently design itself!
