I’ve used the Yo-Zuri 3DB twitch for several years with good results and the reliable rattle makes me often prefer it over Mirrodine MR17 AND MR27. Great flash and sufficient color selection.
Never tried the vision 110. I tested that Matrix Minnow straight out of the package, but felt like it needed to be tuned like a crank bait because it kept wanting to jerk to the right. I had a hard time filming it because no matter what I did, it would end up way away from the camera 😂
@@Jar_Fishing im fortunate enough to have a pond with fairly clear water so i always try out new lures in it to see what action they have and if the bass like them.
@@Jar_Fishing I really like the pool test comparisons. I’ve heard complaints like “it’s freshwater, saltwater has a different density”. Yes, true, but the comparison is how the lures behave in water, so we’re trying to examine the relative comparison. Yes, the lures may ride higher in the water column if it’s saltwater, but that’s informative to me in the less than 4’ or 5’ of water I fish in Texas’ bays. Others complain the retrieve demo is too short in backyard pools. So what, rod tip down helps, and most of us don’t have access to Olympic-size pools anyway, to cast down the 164’ (50 m) lane and film it through the entirety of a cast/retrieve. So, I find these pool comparisons like you’ve done here incredibly informative and instructive. MORE please, and thank you!
@@johnkarges8829 I’m planning another one but gonna try 4K so I can zoom a little better. Also, I forgot to mention the pool I used was a saltwater pool anyway so gotta be pretty close to the live action.
The Slick look really good on the fall! I still like your X-Rap...the twitch is deadly! The Yo-zuri looks like it can catch a monster all day! The FatBoy doesn't look as good but for some reason many anglers caught 20s and 30 inchers on the Paul Brown Fat Boy!
You mention that you modify the smaller X-Rap but I don’t think I’ve seen the video or details on your modification of it, a hook replacement/upgrade? Keep up the great vids on the water AND comparison pool tests!
Good seeing you out there before Christmas. I’m glad to see you’re onto that slick lure. I meant to give you a few that day in case you didn’t know about them yet. They are deadly in the grass on flats which is why I’m so disappointed in the lack of grass on my favorite flats in Catherine.
Thanks for the great video.. It was cool seeing how good the xrap looks. What is you go-to size on the xrap? Also what two sizes did you use in the video? I know they make a SXR8,10,12 and 14. Thanks for the info!
I take every pack if soft plastics I ever buy and bring them straight to my pool. You'd be surprised how many paddle tail lure are lifeless under water. Matrix shad has a strong action but a dudley paddle tail for instance has very little motion. There are many examples of lures that look great in the pack but no action underwater. They may still catch fish but would you up your success if you weren't using them?

I was surprised how good it did.
I love the xrap. I also love the megasbass vision 110. Its price is pretty steep. I wish the matrix minnow was heavier. The slick lure looked great.

Thanks for running this comparison. I was surprised how fast the 17MR sank! The 18MR Heavy-dine would sink even faster.
I was surprised too
Saltwater makes a big difference
I luv pool videos! Plz do more, and may i suggest trying a nomad madscad 78 and Berkley cutter 90
I will definitely do another one at some point. I will improve the video quality on the next one and add those to the list. Thanks for the feedback

It was cool seeing what the different baits did, very educational for sure.
Rapala X Rap, always worked great for me, but now it’s time for trying some new options, Thanks for sharing.

Great analysis

Good looking action for sure. I can see why it catches big ones. Added bonus that you don’t have to fool with dang treble hooks.
Might have to give those Yo-Zuris a try. Nice video thanks for the info
Thanks for the video, Well Done
Love the Corky but love the Soft Dine XL even more.
I’ve fished the Soft before but not the XL size. I’ll have to try it.
Great video

Thanks! I used the xr-08 and the xr-10 in the test. I fish both but mostly the 08.
Good info 👍🏻

Subbed. Good video.
Ty for info bro
Try the Slick Lure without the weight.
Thanks John! What hook do you use? The Owner hooks I got look like the gap is too shallow and wouldn’t leave much room for the hook set.
@@Jar_Fishing Owner Beast 4/0 - the Beast Version has the correct gap for the Slick
Owner Beast 4/0 is the only answer here. Weighted and unweighted. Pricey, but worth it. And those who doubt the need for a MH, you absolutely need it.
new sub good info
