- Southeast Louisiana Inshore Fishing
Tough days are inevitable, but you have to be able to make the most of those days. I went way back in the marsh looking for Speckled Trout, and I found them with the ole "lock jaw." The way I salvaged the trip was by rotating through my lures to keep tricking them into biting. I would catch one or two and the bite would seemingly disappear until I picked up a different lure. This went on until I had to run from the low tide, but I left having caught much more than if I would have been hard headed throwing the same lure all morning. I'm noticing a lot more undersized fish making their way into areas that just a couple of weeks ago was nothing but bigger Trout. Not a problem, just means you have to weed through a few more "throw backs" (Under 13" in Louisiana).

Much appreciated. I’m just having fun.
Jar,Ya killin' me and so is Karl Rockvoan!!Had unfortunate incident this past Th while launching my canoe at Three Rivers in Covington.Knew I-Phone was in precarious place and SURE enough, phone slipped outta top pocket right into T-Funky and I spent some time searching to no avail.Thank God I was due and upgrade to I-Phone 12 and Wifey expert at both computer as well as electronic issues, mostly have all my contacts restored!!Been busy most of my weeks Mon-Wed and Fridays of Lent we are slammed at St.Jane de Chantal Fish Frys so my fishing days extremely limited. Not a big deal as I know the fishing AND crawfishing only gonna get better as the months peel by!Congrats-headed to Home and Garden Show today, tomorrow gardening day with plenty to keep me busy. Our garden about 50 by 70 and is fenced in to keep deer and rabbits out!!!
Another fun day, thanks for all of the tips of the trade! Jar, you’ve definitely got the touch, thanks for taking us along! Really enjoyed this video!
Thanks James!
Was out that way today keeping 7 trout tagged 18 trout got out before 9 am , soft plastic morning
That’s a good morning
That was a good day! Down south is definitely one of my go-to’s
I bought that pack like 6 months ago but never got around to fishing with it. Nice action
It is hard to leave when the bite is on, that same Down South lure , but the smaller version , works great for me . Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Lud. I need to try those.
Any tips on where to go fish I’ve been wanting to go catch some reds and trout but haven’t been having the best luck I don’t know where to fish or what to look for I’ve done made 3 trips out and haven’t caught much but a few little ones
If you go to Hopedale Marina, talk to the owner Pat. He usually doesn’t mind pointing a few places out. He has a big map in the store so he can point to the spots. Keep at it. Lena Lagoon is a good place to start. If you are fishing a cork, target points with current and wind blown banks. Watch out for shallow water.
@@Jar_Fishingappreciate it man I sure will it’s always a blast catching or not I enjoy being out there
Good advice bro
You’re the man
Thanks for the support
You fished at the end of a 15 mb drop it pressure starting on the 22nd. A good time to fish!
more cooking at the end please
We fished the day after you and caught a few, similar conditions, falling tide, wind started to blow later in the morning.
Best baits were matrix green hornet and Xrap. Xrap is becoming my favorite.
Great videos, keep up the good work!
Nice!
Thanks,GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!!
Brother, like you I just can't make that last cast commitment, always something grabbing my attention, thanks for your hard work/play
Great video as always man! Quick question on water. W the overflow gates open and flushing all the river water thru Delacroix, and last time I was there it was sandy and muddy. You must be fishing the east side of MRGO I assume. I’m thinking w water bad the closer u get to Delacroix.
Correct. I almost went to Delacroix to find out what was happening over there since I knew it was going to be a tough day anyway. Your report is the first I’ve heard so glad I didn’t go that way.
Down South paddletails are a staple and nearly the new standard along the Texas Coast
Great lure
"Promosm" 😚
How deep of water are you in?
3-6ft in that little bayou I was fishing.
