I love Dicks design philosophy. If I had to critic the boat it would be the low combings in the cockpit, hard to get comfortable . Not crazy about the solent rig , its difficult to get good forestay tension when its split between two stays , they both will sag up wind. Prefer the tried and true cutter with running back stays . We are talking about Blue Water . I dont find the interior all that appealing to much vinyl . And I like straight settess in the main salon one on port one on starboard , they make great sea berths when off shore.

I was expecting a lot more comments about the pirate. If you watch the first bit you'll see how boring and overly measured the original Voice Over was and I thought I'd put people to sleep. So for a channel named "Crazy About Boats" I thought I'd make it a bit crazy. It's meant to be fun. Sorry you don't like it. It is a. beautiful boat though.

In my opinion, the constructions outside the boat are the crucial matters. What are inside or outside on the deck are trivial. If the builder cares only the bottom then I will certainly not choose his boat because a boat sails not only on its bottom but on its 2 sides also, so its 2 sides must have the shape of its bottom especially for racing. Forgive me if I am wrong. Thanks.

I think you'll find the whole hull of the Krakan is robustly built. If you're racing the interior can be spartan because you probably only sleep between watches but a boat like this that is designed to cruise the world and the interior becomes important because you spend 90% of your time at anchor and a comfortable interior certainly enhances cruising life.
