    Hey, I just want to say that you are such a straight forward person and willing to show us where you actually live. We really appreciate you showing us what it’s like there. The city is so much more developed. Crab looks good.

    no balcony no washing machine ... how long of a lease did you have to sign for ? how much do they charge you for electricity and water ?.. is it a quiet apartment -can you hear your neighbors ?

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You can do 6 or 12 month lease. Electricity over here standard is about $0.25 cents per kw. Im about to pay my first bill next week, so we will see. Its very quiet in regards to my neighbours. BUT theres bars near by that have people belting karaoke sometimes and music. But thats common in Cambodia

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@trevr1969 i pay about $25 a month for that. they combine them into one bill. The water cost is barely anything, most of it is the electricity. 0.25/kw - which is like 3 times more expensive than in North America - I think. my place is very small, which is why its pretty cheap.

    Hey Tom,
    Great video bro, quick question for you: are Covid 19 vaccines still required to teach English in Cambodia and if so, are boaster shots required as well?
    Thanks!

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is not required to teach English. Theres always the chance that a certain school could make it their policy. But as far as I’ve seen its optional. I had 2 doses before i left Canada. And i got a booster here cause they came to my school and it was convenient and free. - I didnt have to tho. Its not mandatory. Let me know if you need advice on getting a TEFL

    Didn't see any kitchen space, stove or oven. What's the story

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no kitchen just a countertop. In Cambodia 99% of places do not have an oven. Its unheard of. Its already too hot here and it takes too much electricity. But most places will have a glasstop stove or gas stove. I just dont have one. I order delivery for all my meals cause its so cheap. I save more money than my friends who cook

      in most countries yes. In Cambodia you do not need any degree. I do not have a bachelors degree. You need a TEFL or TESOL certificate to teach. I can reccommend the one I did if you are looking for a real proper one.
